  1. My main on live was a Kin/elec, but /elec was yeah. I did do Elec/kin controller for a time here and found it a better pairing. Been curious about a Corr version post update. I just haven't rolled it. I have builds to get to 50 before I focus on something new. Speaking of Cold, I have a Cold/water waiting her turn at some more leveling. I might just dual box her though when I get around to it.
  2. Doing Stone on a Brute, but it works well enough I see no reason for it to not be newbie friendly for a new player. Honestly, outside of things like Dark and Fire needing KB protection, I think just about any primary works.

  4. I go Ageless for EA anyway so I find I don't need to click on ED that much if at all. I only really need it since one build uses FA. On another, it vastly sits there unused. Missions with -def and Psy attacks will give EA fits. GIS could use some love, but I still find Ice to be rather fantastic. Certainly in the case of soloing.
  5. I ODed on support on live so I play a lot of melee these days, but it is one of the few support I got to 50 on HC and the only Corr so far. I only have common IOs in it so I haven't really kicked the tires that much. Tar Patch with Fire and Scourge is nice though. End is a bit of an issue, but that should go without saying for anything not using better IOs. I know I have three more builds to get to 50, and I think the Corr sticks on the Top 10 list although at some point that list might be more of what I'm playing currently.
  6. I see these advertised, but one build I have for it is still waiting to get fully T4ed. I'll look for teams once that's done.
  7. Depends on what you want out of the farm. His maps are good if you want to afk farm or solo farm. If I want to dual box and that's my default farming, I do Big Mob maps since there is a safe space to hang out in for the lowbie and mobs don't wonder.
  8. A common way I have seen a damage proc used if in 6 slotting of a power and one of the slots is for D\R. You are likely getting enough recharge overall to where you won't miss it there and the damage proc, more so if a purple, adds a nice bonus to the damage. Obvious case is in a damage aura since recharge is essentially needless.
  9. I tend to only use maybe one proc in a power. I prefer the bonuses. In some cases, like a damage aura for a Brute I would proc more as the aura's damage is already being boosted by Fury. Proc slotting for when depends on the proc. Some it is the last slot. Others it will be the first, see the +End proc used in Radiation Therapy.
  10. To be fair, he likely rarely uses it and doesn't expect much to last when he does. I can see an end/recovery issue once it wears off, but -def is just bad.
  11. Savage. The con for Savage right now is that Hemo isn't worth taking. It is low on mitigation, but the DoT is fueled by Fury so its AoE damage is quite nice, maybe third behind Rad and Spines. Psionic, in short, has a two-headed problem. 1. Insight is great when it works but the player has lesser control on it compared to other combo/buff systems out there. It also has a period where one can be locked out from gaining Insight. 2. On the counterpoint, Boggle also tags the target in such a way as that target now has an increased chance of giving Insight. The problem with this is Boggle being e ST Confuse which only labels that one target as giving a better chance to trigger Insight and Boggle's cast time isn't great. This would be a lesser issue if you solo a lot. In summary, I find Insight to be the most problematic mechanism for an attack set. I found in my early testing of Psionic for it to be really good when Insight was working. There is also the issue of Psi being resisted at times and heavily so in some cases.

  13. I will say there is a general lack of support characters being played redside. I think with the lower population there people trend towards melee since it can solo easier.
  14. Covers the important part of Def and Res to Fire so it will work fine. I've seen higher Recharge but that's still good enough.
  15. Not sure how the Ill/dark will perform better. My Ill/dark had end issues until I converted over to IOs. I just think with the resistance factor added in, Ill isn't really build for this.
  16. The level 25 common IO market was my foundation on live to hitting a billion. I got all of the crafter badges on here on a character and selling the leftovers was just sad.
  17. I had a long ramble based on dual boxing experience written but the link explained it better than what I had floating around in my head. There is also the factor of the lead getting different/lesser rewards than the rest of the party. I've done enough dual boxing to say the farmer doesn't have an equal chance of getting a purple to drop.

  19. I would switch the slotting for SB to one of your own travel powers and leave SB with an end mod. SB doesn't need enhanced speed.

  21. On a Rad/fire Brute I did. One for farming and one for regular content. I might use one build to level, and then make a final one in a separate slot, but I never switch back. Very typically, I just respec the first slot. Depending on what is required of the second build, it can cost a lot. I just prefer dumping coin into another character. To add, I can see making a team build and a solo one. I might just try out a build on the test server to see if I even needed a second build.
  22. Squirrel Girl. Speedball. Magneto. Nightcrawler. You can kind of do him, but you can't really recreate his repeated teleporting as part of combat. Same as Flash.
