  1. I found I like my builds more by not suing it. If you play red side, it is vastly easier to grab the needed badges for the bank missions for the accolade. Yes, I know about the way to still get that accolade. I'm still getting it old school on a villain.
  2. I had a level 50 Earth/storm on live which I played a ton. Not farmed. No 2x XP. No Incarnates. Not even IO sets. Old school having teams play stupid taking on up to three mobs at different spots on a map full knowing I had everything under control. I even soloed it. I also have a level 50 Plant/storm here. And yes, I have done Storm on a defender. I'm sure it isn't intended, but this response and its overall tone is disrespectful as hell. To imply your experience somehow trumps anything someone else could imagine when I literally spent numerous hours playing the builds. Holy hell. FYI, I'm not alone with saying Storm is better on a controller. Certainly there is an argument for it. Storm might not need an immobilize power as I certainly didn't always use it, but mobs do need to be on FR in order to have the -res applied. Also, the ability to stack AoE disorients on a mobs is another a reason to pick Dark and a pro for controllers.
  3. Currently no. My Water/temp is the next up for a end game build, but I don't know when that will be. I tend to do a search for one and go from there. I have yet to really do one from the ground up, but I keep learning and taking notes as I go, so I think I might be able to make a decent one if I tried. End isn't much of an issue so it will mostly be getting capped ranged def and going from there.
  4. Correct. Last I knew the top times for farming where Rad/fire.
  5. Billionaires give their info out for free. Not much research to do. Earn merits to gain converters or just buy the converters. Place stacks of bids on level 41 Doctored Wounds. Convert to a heal at the cost of 2 converters. Sell at "2 mill" a pop since it converts to a rare. Rinse repeat. Start up cost is what? 200k to do it one time, and then multiply from there? I did this for a time as a way to fund builds. I would literally IO out full builds with no restrictions in terms of costs and not even play the character until the new build was done so no farming either. I can log in the morning and in a few minutes do everything I need to do while eating breakfast. I hadn't done anything this morning so I did a lunchtime check-in. From log-in to log-out a character dealing with level 50 common recipes. 1 min. My main. 4 minutes, but almost nothing really had happened, so it was mostly me dragging my feet and trying to see how long it might take to mimic if I had a busier day. I can't imagine taking more than 5 minutes. I'm roughly a 9 year vet. I want to play to, which is why I handle my market stuff outside of what I consider regular gaming and can be done in a literal few minutes during downtime. P.S. Crushing Impact, Thunderstrike, Red Fortune, Titanium Coating and other sets should also follow the same conversion pattern from uncommon to rare within the same type of sets at level 41 with various amounts of profit. You can absolutely do different recipes at different level ranges, but you will likely need to convert more than once which likely means possibly using more converters overall and more time although more potential for currency.
  6. I accidently slotted an IO incorrectly recently so I went and used an unslotter. I'm not doing a respec for that.
  7. Slightly odd to me as I think Shield benefits quite well from the end game aspect. For me it is getting to 50 with Shield that's the issue.
  8. If the point is debuffing, I don't see the point of going Corr over a Defender.
  9. That's one per three different attacks. How many are you putting in there? Are you actually using 2 damage procs in a ST attack and thus taking away from getting additional set bonuses? I can see using higher amounts of procs in a lower damage AT, but a Blaster?
  10. Those and the EB/AV related content to test out builds. I'm willing to repeat anything DA and not just farm Heather. Some arcs are simply quick enough I would rather have the variety. I really should poke my head into AE for missions just to see something different even if I'm not getting merits, incarnate drops, etc.
  11. I blame not playing the set in a decade plus. I also swore it had Fireball before looking at it today. Damage auras have long DoT times on them so maybe Combustion's long DoT also led me to think it was a damage aura as well.
  12. I have zero desire to work with the Unity engine, and yes, I work in software development.
  13. This reminds me. I was in a mission on the BM map. We completed it. A few of us were grabbing some extra mobs. The leader mentions respectfully leaving the mission. The very next mission gets completed. We all leave except for the leader. The leader stays and the team slowly disbands. I leave as one of the last few. I play nice and didn't use the obvious comeback, but man I did want to.
  14. Level 40-50 content is more interesting to see when it is done in smaller teams or more so solo. Getting on a PuG to plow through radios at +4/x8 is absolutely not interesting.
  15. I think I could only really look at underperforming sets versus the best ones. I think AR and Archery are lacking due to damage type. Electric Blast is a bit lacking in terms of useful debuff paired with lesser damage. +4 AVs can shrug off a number of debuffs, but end drain is essentially worthless against them. For an Emp, SC is a PBAoE with a long animation.
  16. Can't stand thread hoppers. Doesn't matter what forum they go in, general or ones for ATs. They just go in, post a complaint, and soon as they hit that Submit button they are gone. I usually put them on ignore. They probably don't even know why as they never respond even when getting asked questions. Is there some sort of troll badge the forum offers? Who knows. It makes no sense.
  17. Fire will be a staple as you can proc out the damage aura. Another vote for /rad as you can slot in -res due to the -def debuff and Atom Smasher does a bunch of damage.
  18. Been too long but that does sound familiar. As mentioned a few back, I looked at VO, and couldn't run away fast enough.
  19. Well, I use converters to do actual converting, so I wasn't even thinking of that aspect. I mean, why get 70K when you can get millions with a bit of leg work?
  20. Dark melee with Elec armor or a defense based one. I like EA and its defenses are done by 20/28 depending on how much you think of healing as a defense. You'll already have the heal from the primary by then as well. Rad melee will offer much more AoE although the heal is more infrequent. I like not love Savage. ST damage could be better. Its damage type is also highly resisted. I have no good defense for my I would pick one versus the other, but I did go Stalker over a Scrapper when deciding on a Dark/ea. I absolutely get why people would go Scrapper instead.
  21. 13 million as a level 50 doing Synapse? That doesn't sound right for someone still leveling or at level 50.
  22. Not much really. I think I liked Time's End of Time and Time Lord better than what was being offered in /ice. While I accept Ice Patch being a good power and another way for KU, but you have to be in melee and the patch size is on the small side, IIRC. It is certainly better if you solo more. I really do like /ice though.
