  1. I shan't name names but I'll answer a confirmation with a smile and a nod.
  2. Keynote: If it's not funny, scroll on.
  3. *yawns and engulfs a planet.* ...*burps.*
  4. I believe I know whom you speak of, and yes, they are a toxic individual. Best to avoid them. My plots welcome anyone to join so long as they know to behave themselves and are able to maintain OOC communication lines for working out possibly speed bumps along the way. I know far too many players that don't keep their OOC communications open with the players they interact with, and some end up in just such a case, ignored globally by myself and what friends I end up sharing my experiences with. I too can understand the frustration this causes when the player you speak of gets tied into the group of friends you had prior to their involvement, and yes, breaks them absolutely apart from you. It's insidious how some people can twist personal canon into a matter that other people playing the game must contend with, even with their backstory. (Long story, but yes an attempt was made and failed miserably by that same individual.) You have my sympathies and if you see a character I'm playing that you wish to interact with, feel free to send me a tell.
  5. Some people use discord as a means to resume communication out of character when time doesn't allow them to log into the game. Bases tend to be more of a private location generally if they were designed for specific settings and purposes. I go to the D because I like seeing other people chatting and sometimes run into some pretty amazing roleplayers there and rarely run into them in-game anywhere else.
  6. That is very much the case, as you pointed out @Latex. Not many of us are willing to admit it, but truth be told, there's bias in nearly every aspect of gaming, whether it's PVP arena play, or story rich RP. Finding a respectful balance for your own interests can be difficult even but a lot of the time with RP communities is not necessarily pigeon holing, but rather categorizing their specific style, or finding something that fits to call their play preferences. It causes more drama than it's worth so many of us choose to just be a bit more secular about our play preferences, groupings, and try to avoid those that generally just ruin everyone elses good time.
  7. Character name: Seluna SilverheartGlobal: @Crystal Dragon Base or SG Name: Pellean SanctumShard: EverlastingPasscode: NEXUSSTATION-24135Item Count: 3097 Category for Contest: Multipurpose under 7K itemsOther associated contributors, (up to 4 more people): Not Applicable Additional Info / Must-See Areas of Note: Originally designed as a ruins setting discovered buried on the outskirts of St. Martial's, this base quickly grew into a memorable echo of a realm long lost to the Tirikan refugees of Prime. Over the span of about 9 months, this has been worked on, edited, adjusted, and revamped as the story unfolded of how these ruins emerged buried within an archaeological dig some 17 miles from the central reaches of St. Martial's and the Rogue Isles. Temporally displaced, and ravaged by time, these ruins had been slowly restored by several temporal specialists, unraveling a sealed door that held behind it a number of surprises for the Tirikan, and their allies. That seal was broken and the surprises contained within unleashed on Prime - but not without it's own price for the Tirikan race. The Refugees of Pellea now inhabit these ancient foreign halls, living, and working as any other citizen of Prime now does. But this base is only a small fragment of their expanded history. Admittedly, I never thought I'd submit this, didn't think it was worth a glance by some of the pro builders I've seen here, but after some encouraging words from my RP circle and long time friends, I submit The Pellean Sanctum, as my personal base submission for the competition. May the best shine with pride. The base is open for exploration, I ask those that wish to RP in it, to please be polite and remember this is the home of many of the tirikan refugees that fled to Prime from their universe, and be considerate. *bows formally with a gesture to explore freely.* "The First Tirikan" Entrance way The Seven Sisters Memorial Shrine of the Fallen So much more to see, do explore at your leisure.
  8. Basic chat logs, it's a pain to sort through the HTML tags and removing them from the logs. I used to have one that worked, but page five completely broke it with the chat range command additions.
  9. The last one I had is a good deal of broken with recent changes in the newest page. Does anyone have a functioning chat log parser I could download, or anyone have one I can get a copy of?
  10. There's more but I'll have to sort out the best ones to share and name them all. Yes, I use midjourney, I'm very specific on my prompts to avoid using any artists styles and no, these I usually use for study and personal characters rather than for commission work, however if there's interest, I do have a ko-fi and am in the HC discord for contact to discuss requests.
  11. Some of these are figures in the tirikan histories, while others are actual characters being played at this time. I'll try to name label the ones that are important or claimed by player characters. Igrain Pendragon (Possibly a historical figure in Prime.) Crystal Dragon - Prior to arriving in Praetoria/Prime. Moonstone Dragon - One of the remaining monks of Io. Topaz - Unnamed former regent of the Topaz tirikan clans (Working on this ones character still.) Seluna Silverheart - Former princess of the lunar tirikan clans Serriss Malachite - Former noble of the sapphire tirikan clans. Myrloch - A 'rescued' Pellean Kaiju. Alexandrite - Unnamed tirikan noble house representative of the Alexandrite clans Daelina the Fae - A prime hatched tirikan of the fae persuasion. Last but not least, Sunstone Dragon - a former bloodguard of the Sunstone noble house clans.
  12. Ooh, thank you, yeah I have an account with them and had forgotten! XD Go figure right?
  13. If you don't like the changes, address it to the dev's. If you don't like the community, leave it. If you don't like the game, quit. Personal responsibility is on you, no one else.
  14. The Tirikan refugee collective (An original character species of mine, and my husband, @SolSoldier however there are a total of about 16 of them in existence in Prime/Paragon City, including their offspring.) Gurn Askook, the emerald "rebel" queen. Kori Faythe, the grommish tirikan. (Non-magical tirikan) Ahhhh, the file size limits! There's so many of them I've done recently I wish to share!
  15. A bit of art for our CU member, Orchard!
  16. I believe most of the accessible sound files are in .ogg format. I do know a couple modders that have their sound editing files up here, but I don't know if there's a list outside of the Wiki attached to Homecoming. It wouldn't be a bad idea to search to see if the file names are on the site. Just saying but if you do put something together, let me know, I'd love to have some spruced up noises and sounds for my game install! Edit: I would like to add that licensing might be part of the issue with updating this game and it's elements, but hey it would be amazing to see a full revamp of the effects, music, and sounds frequently heard in game.😮 I did find this however, thought it might be helpful. https://strategywiki.org/wiki/City_of_Heroes/Clientmods
  17. The thing about bases is that they are relevant to play in this game, especially in regards to finding the right space for the right scene, or setting in mind. Sometimes, you gotta build it for yourself to really understand and appreciate the length of time, and effort that building a base of any size can really take, and the amount of creative problem solving, good gods I could go on for days about that. Many of the bases here on this game can be described as different parts of the city, locations and venues, and for some, even a part of their story, or more simply put, a home away from home. A base can be used for many many many different purposes, and that changes from player to player. It's relevant in a big way, especially if you want a space for yourself to escape the wild and crazy open world experiences for a while and simply breath in a space you made for yourself, for your specific needs. I have *several* bases that I've built for collectives of characters my husband and I both play, but I have a few that are intended for settings, living spaces, homes. Not everyone plays by the same rules relatively, but groups do form up and use their own mutual rules to impose in the spaces they create and inhabit. That's a given many games that have a lot of players gathering together over mutual interests. Some groups use die systems and sheets like D&D. Some use die systems only and play by good-faith rules. Others tend to go willynilly with how they play, and some of these bases reflect that creative aspect we all have. So to end this on a positive note, yes, bases are relevant, to the builder, to those that enjoy those bases, and to those that use them actively for their own purposes and reasons. But you do not have to use or make use of them if you don't want to. No one is forcing that into your hands.
  18. Not sure if this has been shared about base relevance, but I use base building for creating settings that match character stories, backgrounds, or living spaces specific to their needs and character preferences. I'm not as wildly talented as the out-of-grid builders are, but the ones I create are specifically for character groups, and collectives that players I know actively RP on. Base is and always will be a core feature of the game for me and players like me. Because it allows us the chance to create the areas that our creativity wishes to share with those we play with. I could provide a fair example of a "setting" base that ended up becoming a home to a collective of refugee alien characters. Nexusstation-24135 And no, it's not being added to the public listings. It's a home first, not a house, or a public space.
  19. Wait, Conrad joined the forums too? (Sorry I couldn't help myself.)
  20. Have a great holiday break, Homecoming Team!
  21. $20 fired your way from @SolSoldier and myself. Thank you for continuing to keep our little home alive and well Cipher and all of the HC staff.
  22. A few of my bases on the list are going to be undergoing some renovations in the spring - their codes should be still available though the build might be vastly different when it's completed. I'll take them off the list when I get started on them and make them private until it's done. o7 Figured the heads up would be a good idea.
  23. Menu updated, discovered a bug in my own coding and it has been repaired.
  24. Thanks, yeah, I'd been meaning to order some. xD AuADHD kind of screws with my short term memory. Appreciate it truly.
