Depends on the group and the leadership. Some folks that have Heavy RPSG's tend to wish for a comfortable experience for everyone in the group, not just for themselves. Others tend to have a more close-knit experience, like my own does. I hold high standards for my group because I wish my members to feel safe, comfortable and not have to put up with people that aren't willing to work with the teams/leagues we work together in. I personally vet every member for this reason. As for the OP's experiences, I'm inclined to agree with some of the users posting here. Maybe the problem isn't the groups.

I will be watching the space, a shame honestly, I quite liked the app and the access to the mods for the game. Sort of an immature reaction to some unknown slight it looks like. Either way, carry on folks.

Yeee! I did fix an issue I saw after testing it in game. The Speak distance name was a bit too long.

With the newer chat range/listen distance options, I decided to give popmenu making a shot in the dark. I have *ZERO* clue if it works, but I was wondering if someone wanted to take a pot shot at it and see if I can do better. Here's what I got so far. Yes, most certainly. While we do have some players that choose to violate naming rules of the server collective, and some persist on using names that have numbers in them, some of these players do have a good reason for their choice in naming. (Though I'm inclined to still help enforce the rules whenever possible by reporting name violators and trademark abusers. And no, I don't care if they know about it.) It's not just noticeable among the players but also in the bases built on the server. What settings we lack, are created by player bases by rather talented and dedicated base builders here. I encourage you to check the Everlasting yellow pages (Base listings) to view some of them. ^_^ I can certainly say this is actually quite encouraged. It may be harder to find teams that don't resort to farming, but many of us have played the game through and through time and time again and some of the older content can be quite stale for us, so farming is in fact a good way to boost a character up that you want to play in end game content, if you are already familiar with the play style and function of the powers chosen. I can understand how frustrating the farming demands and requests on that shard can be, personally I don't mind the farmers of the server, or the players that join their teams as long as the players are aware of their power choices and AT's function. (Newer players might want to go through those lower level content areas and missions to get the experience and better understand their build and AT choice at least I recommend it for story and mission knowledge too.) I believe so. I'd bopped around on the other shards and didn't find much sociable circles to engage with, and it felt like a stark reminder of my time on Virtue when I was without a group and friends to play with. A boring and rather frustrating experience with no one to really talk to or play with. On Everlasting folks are generally a lot more friendly, tend to be more willing to offer help and suggestions for your characters build sets, power choices for side pools and even guidance with using the player market and building bases. But that's just this dragons opinion, I quite favor roleplaying servers for the more relaxed atmosphere, and the social play available. Not many shards or servers have the shard community we host here, and I'm pretty proud of having contributed to that in some small manner.

I ended up nuking my mod list and reinstalling them. No bugs at this point in time.

*sighs.* Sounds like bio writing is going to become a focus topic again with the classes for a while. Seriously though, NSFW content in bios is NOT welcome on Homecoming, and yes it can lead to a ban if it's reported. If you see NSFW content in a bio, report it please. Body size content isn't really necessary with the costuming options we have with this game, even as dated as it is, and shouldn't be necessary to phrase what parts are what shape or size or pronounced in a bio. It's our job as players to report bad content when we see it on public facing spaces, and DESCRIPTIONS are certainly public facing. If it's someone just trying to bait for trolling - well, point them to the code of conduct and global ignore them. Otherwise, send them to the thread in my edit. Might help them brush up and fix things so it's not so, crude.

The return to community service~ Classes will be held at 9PM EST for this weekend as the 5PM slot interferes with family time on my end, but if mentors would like to join to assist, please let me know. We will be using a single base each class weekend as it gives players a chance to fully explore each of the ones we select to feature. If you are new to the server and to MMO roleplaying, this is a perfect time and opportunity to learn how roleplaying works in gaming and more.

:) Yep! Though I will be requesting volunteers interested in mentoring to please come to the class times and workshop night so we can discuss and let mentors get some time in to work with the new roleplayers. :)
