  1. Used fast.com and it shows Latency as, unloaded = 23ms and loaded = 26ms. On top of that, it's showing my download speed at 100Mbps but upload is at 13Mbps. Interesting. I do indeed have 2 M.2 NVMe drives, one for the OS and other stuff and the other for games, which is where CoH is. So that shouldn't be an issue. I'd hope anyway. I am on Win11, so I will give the link a look over and hope something there will help. Thanks again for all the help, it is really appreciated.
  2. I spent some time looking over the troubleshooting post and everything there seems to be within expectation. I tweaked some settings and while my framerate isn't consistently over 60fps, it's usually above 30, so I'm happy enough there. (certain zones are an issue, especially when events are running) But, no matter what settings I tweak, actual zone loading is still an issue. It's probably just the route that I have to take connecting to the game servers. Thanks again for the help.
  3. My netgraph looks like a freshly mowed lawn, so that doesn't appear to be the issue. I'll have to give the troubleshoot stuff a bit of time to look over so I'll skip commenting on that for right now. As for a Game Accelerator app, I don't believe I have one running. I'll have to dive into things to make certain I don't, but off the top of my head, that certainly doesn't sound familiar. I appreciate you taking the time to respond to this issue. I'll post any new findings as I find them. Hopefully this is just something on my end that I can eventually track down and fix.
  4. Ethernet cable connected. I much prefer being wired over using wifi. I've also reset my modem multiple times. Unplugged it, waited a minute or two and powered it back up. No noticeable change. I'll look over the website and see if anything there will help. Thanks for the feedback.
  5. I've been having slow zoning and loading issues on my main account for quite a long time. Around a year at this point. I play nearly exclusively on Excelsior, but this was happening long before we got the population surge from the recent "the game is now official" announcement. It also affects whenever I access the Select Character screen. I have 3 accounts total and while the other 2 also seem slow, when I compare them to friends who stream while we're playing together, they are nowhere near as slow as the main. It can easily take me 30-45 seconds to zone into or out of a mission or from zone to zone at times on my main account. The other 2 accounts load in maybe 15-20 seconds. All times are subjective but noticeable when comparing my screen to the stream of my friends. Perception bias and all that. Which makes playing with friends a bit of a pain. I'm late getting to the zone where the mission is, late getting into the mission, late exiting mission, late zoning to where the next mission is... you get the idea. It's not a constant thing as there are times, rare as they are, where I will zone in 10 seconds or less. These shorter zone times will happen maybe one day out of a month, give or take. I'm wondering if the amount of alts I have on the main account could be an issue? I have nearly 360 alts on my main account. Yes, having that many alts likely will be causing slow loading when trying to access the character select screen, that I understand and it makes perfect sense. But talking with a friend who has much more knowledge of server systems than I do, he says that the number of alts on the account likely shouldn't affect zoning as the character DB is separate from the instance DB. Once the alt is in a zone, it is 'more or less' only handled by the instanced servers. At least, I think I'm saying this correctly. Anyway, my system should be well and above what is needed to run the game. All drivers have been updated as needed. No over heating or overclocking going on. Download/upload speeds are within acceptable range of what I should be getting from my ISP, actually a tad over but, I'm not going to complain about that. mpg z490 gaming edge wifi (ms-7c79) intel core i7 10700 RTX 3080 32 GB RAM 100Mbps/10Mbps DSL internet I'm willing to accept this is probably just a "me" issue, but if anyone has any potential ideas as to what might be causing my problem or any potential solutions, any and all help would be much appreciated.
  6. For some reason, Smoke Bomb in the Ninja MM set is causing all the mobs aggro to be focused on the MM without any attacks being used to actually cause aggro. Currently using a lvl 50 Ninja/Electric combo on Test and I'm getting aggro from mobs 20-ish levels lower than me when the power is used. I could see getting the aggro from mobs that normally would see me as a threat, ones -4 levels and up, but lvl 32's aggroing on a lvl 50 seems a bit strange. The pets are on Passive so they are not attacking, even once the mobs aggro on me. If I dismiss the pets and use Smoke Bomb, nothing happens at all. So it would appear that Smoke Bomb is alerting mobs and acting as an attack despite it saying on City of Data that the power nor any of its effects notify mobs. On a bit of a side note, for some reason Crey Protectors, not Paragon Protectors, are aggroing on me despite me being nearly 20 levels above them. None of the other Crey mobs aggro so there must be something special with the Crey Protectors that they see me as a threat.

Not sure why this is happening but the enhancements I have slotted into the power, a set of Attuned Blood Mandate (minus the Acc/End enhancement), are showing the wrong values on the enhancement screen. The damage is showing values (at lvl 40) of only 62.9% while the exact same IO's slotted into Summon Wolves and Summon Lions show the damage at 95.9%. Also, for some reason there is a Resist Damage value on the Summon Dire Wolf showing the same value as the damage, 62.9%, despite there being no Dam Res slotted. Wondering if this is simply a reporting error somewhere or if the power is actually not getting correct damage and then getting either a damage resist buff/debuff incorrectly.

  9. And I want the opposite! Gimme weapon options for all those sets that have punches and the like in them. I want Psi Melee to be all Psi Blade attacks and seriously wouldn't mind Fire/Ice/Stone and whatever others I'm forgetting to get similar options. Let the player choose whether they want bare hand or weapon options. Please?
  10. Been almost a couple months since I last posted at this point, and with the new update coming, I was really hoping there'd be a fix for this. But so far, nada. Could we at least get an update that it's a known issue? I don't expect an instant fix or anything, but official word that it's at least known would be great.
  11. I would consider myself a longtime player, I played from shortly after the game initially launched back in '04 until it closed back in '12 and then started back up when Homecoming went live. I'm all about the XP, but sometimes, especially if doing an arc, I simply want to move on to the next mission of that arc. Plenty more enemies in the next mish. And there are times I'd rather get progress into the story line than worry about defeating the rest of the baddies. Especially on some larger and/or annoying maps. Not everyone can sit and play a game for 10+ hours a day. That said, when I join a team, I follow the team lead on what they say. If they say ahead of time that we're clearing the map, I stay and help with clearing the map. (Though I have to admit, if it's one of the larger and/or annoying maps, I'll probably leave the team after that mish.) If they say as soon as the mish is done we exit, I exit as soon as the mish is done. Now, if the lead just posts the next mission and says nothing I'll usually leave the mission once the exit pops. And if they then get upset about what I did and tell me so, I'll simply respond to them saying they said nothing as to what the plan was. And chances are, I'll leave the team if the leader is too much of a dictator instead of teammate.
  12. I get the feeling this was an intentional change. Which, I can kind of understand. I just don't ever remember seeing anything in the patch notes about it or hearing anything official. But, my memory being what it is, I'm lucky if I remember my own name most days. 🙂
  13. Was hoping to see this issue fixed by now. I get it is apparently a low priority thing and maybe even a total PITA to track down as to the cause, but some kind of update/official word would be much appreciated. My Beam/Ninja Blaster is just sitting there looking at me every time I log in and I swear I hear him saying "Are you ever gonna play with me?" At which point I quickly cycle past the page he sits on because, man, that is kind of a loaded question! 😄
  14. I was told that the +Def goes away entirely if you do anything that doesn't strictly affect self. Attacking, buffing allies, clicking glowies, commanding pets, etc. all turn the defense off. So basically any action that affects anyone else would mean that EM is doing nothing for you, defense wise. Still get the -Fly res, +Flight Speed and -KB so not entirely useless but...
  15. It's a bit early in the morning for me to attempt to think, but I tried it anyway. Not sure if I'm actually comprehending this correctly so, does this fix mean that I can once again take screenshots without the game instantly crashing to desktop? If so, awesome!
  16. Cool little event to have running. Sadly, I will be unable to participate as taking a screenshot crashes my game. It was a problem I had on Live that has apparently followed over to current day. Thankfully I'm not a screenie person so I've never bothered to report it here. Until now, I guess. 🙂
  17. It's funny you post this as I am now in the midst of making a WS after finding a "happy place" with my PB. And oddly enough, I'm making the WS after teaming last night with a group of friends (and others) for a Posi 1 and one of the friends was on his WS. I figure I can find the "happy place" again with a WS by somewhat copying the PB. Obvious differences will ensue but I'm oddly optimistic I can get it to work. All of this after I gave up on Khelds as a whole on Live because I couldn't find a way to make them fit my playstyle. I saw what other players could do, some folks just have a way of making them work. I never mind teaming WITH Khelds, either on live or here on HC. The extra Voids/Quants/Cysts are just extra XP! Anyway, one day, I had an epiphany and a build came to mind on how I could make it work, so I made the PB. Of course it was a common IO build as I didn't want to waste the inf or time getting sets, I just wanted to see if it could work. It did work but wasn't quite what I was hoping. He languished for months until I decided get some IO sets. I knew it would take a while to get the IO's I would need so I started up my shopping list and was willing to wait. Then, a mysterious benefactor threw WAY more inf at me than I'd need to buy the IO's, so I did. Now, I have a PB that *I* find fun. Nowhere near the best, but good enough for me. And because of that, now a WS is in the mix! So, to my mysterious benefactor, thank you. You did indeed fuel my altaholism!

  19. Man am I late to this party, but holy S**T am I glad I hopped in! I LOVE this idea for a new AT and everything I've seen about it makes me want to play this soooo bad. I hope that work continues to progress and that someday soon we can all have a duo of our own!
  20. I see that now ALL shards are down. Which is odd since I'm currently playing, on Everlasting. As in in a mission defeating mobs. Probably one of those things where if I switch alts, I'll not be able to get back in. Soooo, I'll just stay where I am for now.
  21. Not sure what exactly "Costume Manipulation" means. Are you saying people are somehow able to upload something that other players see? *confused*
  22. The procs only work until lvl 22. After that all they are DO level dam/rech enhancements, the proc aspects stop working. They are just something to help with slotting while leveling, not "end game" enhancements like IO sets are.
  23. I'm somewhat confused about this power. On Tanks, Brutes and Scrappers, this is a cone but for stalkers it became a single target attack. Now, I could understand this if the damage, cast time, end cost or recharge were adjusted to account for this, but none of those things happened. Same cast, end and recharge as the scrapper version, but the damage is LOWER than the Scrapper version. That doesn't seem right at all. Looking at Ripper from the Spines set, it stayed a cone for Stalkers and does slightly less damage than the Scrapper version. Perhaps the lower damage is intended due to the "guaranteed" Crit from Hide, I can live with that being the reasoning and have no issues. But Eviscerate should either be changed into a cone for Stalkers, or have its damage greatly increased because it seems from my perspective a complete waste of a power as it currently is. In talking with someone who has a LOT of expertise with Claws, he is under the same impression that the math simply doesn't hold up. Is it possible to get this looked at and if not changed in some way, could an explanation be given as to why it is the way it is?
  24. I want to say first and foremost, I do appreciate the quick turn-around on attempting to fix the scattering issue from last week. However, after the patch today, I have to say, that for me, the issue seems even worse than last week. I logged in to see how the fix went and instantly crashed while loading into the map. That's not connected to the issue at hand I would imagine, but it was a sign of things to come. Send in the error report, reload the game and of course, my character is dead. Visit the hospital, get back to the mish and start 'farming'. I ran a Rad/Fire brute on the typically used fire farm map and as soon as I drop Burn, more than half the mobs run to the hills. Contaminated Ground and Blazing Aura running, and I usually lead off with BU - Atom Smasher before dropping burn. So mobs "should" be well taunted to stay in Burn, but they are not. Last week, I'd get 2 or 3 mobs running at most and now it really does seem to be half the group. Could it be my own perception, absolutely. Even if it is though, mobs are still running away and this is apparently abhorrent behavior that was meant to be fixed. Unfortunately it seems as though it is not.
  25. I'm getting slow loading for the character select screen as well. About a minute before my screen pops up, using Windows7 x64. Haven't tried on my win10 laptop, been busy moving and haven't felt like digging it out. But as problems go, this is minor and nowhere near the wait to get the character screen to load after November 30, 2012. THAT was a long wait. 😛
