  1. The incarnate stuff on Pines does not appear to do a thing. I have PA at 62 seconds. Choose Agility Total Core Revamp (45% endurance, 33% recharge) or Spiritual Boost (33% recharge) and PA remains at 62 seconds. I may be missing some crucial detail... Edit: Discord helped me. Apparently the recharge we get from incarnates is subjected to ED. Which is weird if you ask me. Since I had PA at 108% already i just had it bumped to to 140% which, of course, had no effect in PA's recharge. It would warrant reslotting everything to take that into consideration though.

Don't you have combat jumping or Hover to slot a KB protection IO?
  3. You're a llife saver, Ringo. What of the incarnate stuff is useful for controllers? I can't seem to find it on Pines.
  4. Since there was no reply I cobbled something up stealing from kin builds and then from illu builds (actually had to go look at an i21 Illu build since I couldn't find more recent). I have no clue as to the prices involved and if I couldn't optimize it more for defense. I also feel that i have a ton of accuracy and don't need to really fish for it as I have done in some powers. I did not addd incarnate stuff since I have no idea about that content. I merely aimed for perma PA which it becomes after two Speed Siphons. The 'chance for lethal' in Phantasm is to simulate the KB>KD IO that Pines does not have in the database. Power order is random and not the actual thing. 5. Does anyone have a illusion/kin build laying around aiming for perma PA? I have this hankering to pull out my Green Lantern homage and realized that the 'constructs' would be a perfect fit. Plus I like the 'new' /kin where we can buff everyone at once instead of painstakingly doing it seven times in a row. I know in terms of solo play we're not helping PA with any of the /kin (SB, maybe?) but...
  6. Don't grind solo, Redtwist. Seriously, do three Death from Below and you'll be level 17 in a bit less than half an hour. You're only going to start enjoying the game once you are level 22 at least. DA/Staff is apparently a godly combo with staff mitigating the huge costs of DA even before 22 and as someone who played a brute to level 20 using that combo, yeah, even unslotted I had my endurance only slowly diminishing despite all the toggles I had picked up along the way. The only annoying thing is that the combo relies on keeping three stacks going, and all AoEs but the first will clear the stacks. Something I find is a sin in other sets as well where we'd like to keep, for example, Savage melee's stacks and not use them.

  8. Do you think I could just copy the build and change to Beam Rifle and it would work? I've done Fire a bit too much to feel like getting back to it once again. Yes, even a decade later :p
  9. Do you have a build you could show me, Ringo? My google-fu has failed me.
  10. Immobilized mobs can't be knockdown, right? I've started a plant/storm with the prospect of much flopping with the KD IO, but the group immobilize is good damage as well.
  11. Let us know what sort of tentative build you whip up on the AR sentinel, @Mikazuki, the uber fast animations have enticed me as have the multitude of AoEs that can be unloaded. Like everyone else I'm running Bio atm for the obvious reasons.
  12. Staff's Mastery of Soul (45% end reduction with three stacks) completely takes care of the endurance woes of DA, almost making them a pairing in heaven. Later on this can be changed for another of the masteries, the +res or the +rech. Guarded Spin also gives 15% defense to lethal and melee for what it is worth. Staff is pretty farm material being composed of several AoEs that can be ran back to back.
  13. This is simply amazing. It has the same cadence of mythos and it is a shame it is not actually included in the game.
  14. My thing with Sentinels is that while loving them on paper, since I prefer to play range due to CoH's body collision which makes a full team and big spawns a bit of a pain to navigate in combat, the fact is that if I'm staying back and pewpewing then why not do it on a Corruptor and instead of flimsy defenses I'm throwing debuffs that increase my survivability anyway while also increasing mine and everyone's damage? Especially since I happened to overhear one of the changes to anchors is that they keep on working even after the mob is dead, which is huuuuuge and one of the reasons I stopped playing /rad.
  15. I'm not sold on the pets myself. 300-ish seconds is a long time even with perma hasten considering I see my MM pets dying all the time. I do love the crab backpack and pewpewing while being tough though.
  16. Chrono Shift from Time knocks another 50% off that.
  17. Why not Ill/Time? It doesn't really help to kill faster, but while we can't buff PA we can do it on the phantasm with Temporal Selection, and Chrono Shift is a substantial recharge reduction for a set that is seeking perma PA in the first place. If we're talking soloing AVs what beats /traps anyway? That -1000% regen is unmatched, and then it has -20% defense and res in acid mortar.
  18. Has anyone tried a Fire/Martial with Envenomed Blades boosting the multi-hits of Bonfire (with knockdown IO) which in turn makes it safe to be in melee range with Hotfeet, both it and Caltrops also boosted by EB?
  19. How do you feel about water? At first glance it has the same AoE but a fast animation ST chain that can be made with Aqua Bolt, Steam jet, Aquabolt and then Dehydrate healing at three stacks keeping the HoT nonstop which seems sweet for those soloing times.
  20. As someone who has not touched CoH in a decade, what is the biggest difference between Defender and Corruptor versions of this build? I do like teaming, but in the down times I'm soloing and the more damage the quicker that goes.
  21. I'm personally fine with the backpack. Was turned off by the character creation lack of customization, but it turns out all other tailor slots don't have those limitations while still getting to sport that sweet backpack. There are so many concepts of son/daughter of villain using dad's tech to do good that it is easy to go with. Everything is a slog compared to a Brute though. I need to push to 24 so I can get started with the build and stop whittling away with my little rifle.
  22. For something with the AoE of a blaster, pets of mastermind and toughness of a scrapper there is a big fat zero of Crabs being mentioned whenever someone talks of their favorite/strongest builds.
  23. This guys seems to know what he is talking about.
