  1. This isn't a real, thorough review, just drive-by thoughts. A debuff proc in Smoke Grenade means it WILL notify mobs when you use it. Personally I use that power as a means of clicking glowies, not wanting to be seen, so I never use debuff (or damage) procs in such a power. I love Rune for Veats. I would strongly suggest moving a resist from Foresight to Rune, preferably an Unbreakable Guard and +5 it. Is Rectified Reticle unique really providing any value? You've already got TT:L. Maybe you're PVPing? With my Widows in PVE I don't have an issue seeing mobs that try to blind me. You could put another LotG there instead.
  2. I'm revisiting KM now with a Stalker. One thing I'm digging is 100% crits from hide with Burst.
  3. OP, I know you're looking for a real answer but the truth is it doesn't matter, it just doesn't. IMO there are only 3 sub 50 tfs that can't be duod with any two characters off the shelf with SO builds - Katie, Morty and Sutter. For everything else, a nice insp loadout and a Shivan as backup (usually not needed) will get it done, full stop. So whatever your daughter will most enjoy.
  4. Um, that's what I said I did in the thing you quoted.
  5. Controller pets (the t9s at least) are commandable like MM pets. Their default stance is defensive so you should probably set the default to aggressive. You'll probably need to change your pet menu to advanced mode. Note to powers that be - you really should work on the messaging for this. It comes up a LOT.
  6. To the above point, Cupid's Crash includes 11% global acc in the 4th slot. I've been playing an Ill dom that 6 slotted Cupid's Crush in PA. I'm pleased with the results.
  7. Purple sets give 59.62% accuracy (unboosted) so 60.95% seems like plenty to me.
  8. My own 2 inf after spending a good amount of time with an Ill dom over the last few months. I've never given the lack of PA taunt a second thought. When I summon them within a spawn, they grab alpha aggro which is enough before I cast an aoe mez, which thanks to Gleam (HUGE upgrade from group invis) is up for every encounter. I suppose if I set out to do solo big game hunting (GM/AVs/Heroes) I might miss that taunt but I didn't so I don't. I'm not the biggest fan of the PA kd. Sometimes, and I wouldn't call it a rare occurrence, two kd effects strike simultaneously causing kb.
  9. I'm pretty far into Musc at this point but Vigor Radial is a clever choice. I was wondering how you got to mag 8 but then I saw the "note". I think I'm going to scrap Musc and follow your path.
  10. Here's my VEAT immobing him 5 minutes ago, no problem, with WAWG. Mag 3 protection is trivial for traps/web grenade to overcome.
  11. That's immob resistance, not protection. I've absolutely immobed him with a /traps MM with web grenade.
  12. I've been playing a Stalker, Kinetic Melee. I grinded from 1-50 using SOs (with an odd special IO thrown in along the way like Panacea or Shield Wall uniques). I like for my first playthrough to use SOs to give me a more focused assessment of the set itself and not the X% additional defense (for example). The grind was fine, I played with bosses on, +2 for the most part, Once 50 I made my IO set build, I had low expectations because the resistance numbers out of the box are unimpressive and the defense is negligible. But, Psycho Barrier is very very nice and liberal use of Devour Psyche gets regen numbers to a pretty impressive level. I've been on teams since 50 where things started not going well, teammates dying, taking lots of damage, but my guy was at very little risk. So yeah, I have to say this armor set does provide the tools to keep you upright. However... I find the need to spam two powers (DS and PB) for damage mitigation to be more than I'd rather have to click. I'd rather be clicking a freshly recharged BU+AS. Both of those secondary powers recharge quickly so it's a LOT of clicking. Other thoughts - I've been pleasantly surprised with Aura of Madness. I was basically expecting it to be a random Oppressive Gloom but it seems to work differently and I get bosses mezzed frequently. Their being confused isn't all great, they tend to wander out of melee to attack nearby foes. At one point I wanted to see the result of using Power Transfer heal proc in DS and good lord no, don't do that. I thought spamming against multiple targets might take advantage of the 1-((1-p)^n) effect that works so well for the FF proc but the adaptive recharge just guts the proc rate. Back to Aura of Madness I'm curious what people's experiences are with various slotting. I'm not talking about slotting as mules for set bonuses. I've got 2 level 53 Hami acc/mez and that's enough to make me content. I'm guessing procs follow standard toggle rules, checking every 10 seconds. Y/N or is there some surprise within, due to child effects and whatnot? As a Stalker I'm intrigued with the placate proc but that seems too far down the Bayes tree to really be effective. I've used Momenti Mori as a rez only, the recharge is long enough that I'd rather keep it available as a rez as opposed to a minor +maxHP buff. Am I "doing it wrong"? All told, I'm pleasantly surprised at the survivability this offers. For how I like to play though, I don't think I'll be going back to it, maybe for a tank eventually.
  13. I'm going to chime in despite my own experiences coming from playing a Stalker. From the main screen all I saw was the thread title not the sub forum. Still I think it's relevant. First off, yes there's an imbalance between smash and lethal res. Is this the only armor set like that? I looked at my Mids and it too has the values equal and they are not. The Stalker numbers match what aethereal reponrted: https://cod.uberguy.net./html/power.html?power=stalker_defense.psionic_armor.psychic_wall&at=stalker Just looking at the resulting totals in Mids looks unimpressive with just SOs. I leveled up with SOs, this is how I like to do a first run with a powerset, just to make sure to get the real flavor of the set and not wonder if it was good because of the powers or the X% defense and Y% recharge added. While on SOs I found long fights, like with an EB, could really be a struggle for endurance. I may have been underutilizing DS. I definitely spammed psycho barrier when it was available. As a Stalker I had an out with Placate, if fights got hairy. Now 50 and fully built with sets (working on incarnates) I find the survivability pretty good. That's with me spamming DS and PB which are nice tools to keep you upright. I put two lvl 53 acc/mez HOs in Aura of Madness and what it's doing is whatever it's doing. I'm not convinced I would have additional debt accrued if I had skipped this power but I do see various mezzes in action. On the other hand, and this is a major minus to me, is needing to spam two secondary powers (not counting damaging powers). It's not uncommon to have one power that needs clicks, such as Practiced Brawler or Ablative Carapace but two is just too much for my tastes. I want most of my action points to be used on attacks. At least both are fairly quick activating. I certainly don't bother maximizing cone targets, which would only slow things down a little more. I'll give an "incomplete" at this point because I want to put more time in, but absent some lightbulb going off in my head about how to more effectively play, I'm probably going to put this to the end of the bench of retired 50s eventually.
  14. That is indeed the case:
  15. Even more scenarios, When I got to lvl 40, with the mission at -1, the chambers, which were now -2 to me, awarded 41,457 (from 47,415 when I was lvl 39). Set to +0, lvl 39 chambers, I got 49,337. Set to +4, lvl 43 chambers, again 49,377 So at -2 to me, the chambers started giving lower XP. Above that, that I was able to test, the numbers stayed unchanged. Just a reminder at this point patrol XP had been used up.
  16. This has been brought up several times in bugs. Here's the most plausible reason for "why".
  17. I'm level 38 doing Ginger Yate's mission "Track down altered Tanya" at +2 and spot a Spawn Chamber, it's level 40. I defeat it and get 52,829 XP. I thought I'd do a wee bit of farming of these so I exit and reset to +4. The Spawn Chamber is now level 42 (insert joke about ultimate answer here or 80s band) and it awards 52,829 XP This became a thing that made me say "hmmm" so I reset to +3. Spawn Chamber is now level 41 and awards 52,829 XP. Then I set to -1, the Spawn Chamber is now level 37 and awards 52,829 XP. I'm extraordinarily close to level 39 so I keep going so I can see the results when I'm up one more level. After achieving level 39 I abandoned the mission so I could reselect it at the new level. Results: At -1 (level 38): 55,317 xp At +4 (level 43): 55,317 xp I didn't conduct any other tests because I'm extremely comfortable using linear interpolation to arrive at the expected XP rewards for the in-between levels (it's 55,317). ETA: After consuming all of my patrol XP, these entities started awarding 47,415 XP. At this point I thought to change to "bosses off" and these spawned as LTs, XP changed to 15,804, this was true for -1 and +4. Just to clearly state my point here, this entity (Devouring Earth Spawn Chamber) awarded the same XP regardless of its relative level to me. I have to figure that's a bug. Basic facts: I started level 38 I have 2xp from the START vendor enabled. Another 2xp bonus is enabled from HomeComing at this moment. I have rested XP available for all of these encounters. Other settings were: bosses enabled, EBs not AVs level 43 hp for Spawn Chamber: 2234 level 38 hp for Spawn Chamber: 1901
  18. Just a note to staff - my regular crew met last night for our first session with p2 and the new box from using LFG that tells you where you're going was a big hit. Very nice. It may have been documented but it's the sort of thing I would have glossed over in reading patch notes.
  19. The pet commands only apply to various T9s, PA is not commandable (if that's a word), their behavior is unchanged and they'll attack whatever they see.
  20. FWIW (little to nothing) I agree that this is "janky". The difference between this and a PBAOE is that you not only have to align yourself in the right direction, you have to make sure you're within proper distance. With PBAOEs, if enemies are close that's good enough. With other cones you won't be able to fire the attack unless you're in range. This would be much easier to use if it worked like other melee cones. So I sign this petition.
  21. I was hoping to link this text from the wiki but I didn't see it on the contact's page. Vincent Ross comes across as fairly erudite, so his grammatical faux pas was a bit jarring. Specifically I'm talking about "...bring in any super-powered being in the Isles who they believe are against them". There is a subject/verb disagreement in the quoted text. It boils down to "any super-powered being" and "are against them". The former is singular, the latter is plural. While "any" can either be singular or plural, in this case it's referring to a "super powered being" so singular in this instance. The sentence should say "...bring in any super-powered being in the Isles who they believe is against them".
  22. I had acquired the "Skulls vs Family?" tip, kept it in my inventory then ran a morality mission and afterward, "Skulls vs Family?" was no longer available. I'm not surprised, the same thing happens with "Wizard's Weakness" but I can't imagine this is the intended behavior. Note to the "well akshully..." crew - I know reacquiring this is trivial and not burdensome at all. Just documenting a bug.
  23. I happen to be grinding a /psi stalker. I've been using only SOs but wanted to see this for myself so I tried and was able to slot this particular piece.
  24. No software has ever been released that didn't have "a few issues" left to fix. Those known issues just have to be evaluated for severity. If not too severe, then it gets released. Another way to put it "perfect is the enemy of good". This release, as is, qualifies as good. I applaud this release and its timing. As to questions posed in the OP, yes, I personally saw feedback being implemented, Plant's cap on Seeds is a prime example.
  25. Put me on team hoarder, based on convenience of reacquiring. Shivans I'll use fairly freely because replenishing those is easy enough. Others like Amy or the Warwolf I have to be in really dire straits to use, since the refill on those is capped at 1 use (I do believe). Anything that just needs inf (e.g. Envenom Daggers, the P2W rez or the power analyzer), I'll use freely. Attacks and armors I tend to hoard just for hoarding sake. They tend to not be that good. Unenhanceable accuracy means they have issues connecting against higher cons. I suppose Tactics helps, I never bothered to check.
