  1. Meh, my primary issue is that we have enough already soaking up the Melee room. The problem that nobody seems to be acknowledging is that being in melee range is like a game of musical chairs. There is only so much room for players in that circle of chairs. One too many creates a chaotic experience when your character is being pushed around by the flawed collision mechanics. If those collision mechanics were to be say...fixed, to where characters do not bump around other characters, then I wouldn't care one way or another how many players all want to be in the middle of a mob. However, until that changes, it will continue to be an annoyance to Tanks who are trying to stay centered with the Mobs and maintain aggro without being pushed outside those mobs. "Blappers" add salt to the already open wound on this issue. A Blaster was supposed to be a Ranged Damage AT, but because of the sad design flaw that Blasters are, players have been playing them as if they are a Melee AT. I don't see that part ever changing, too many people would have a fit if that were to change, so the only logical solution here is to fix all the bumping around we are seeing with the flawed collision mechanics. If that gets fixed, problem solved.
  2. Curious. Why is that? Are the modern cards too sophisticated for this game? Say...the GTX 4080?
  3. That's pretty much my point, if a Blaster has potential to out play a Scrapper, that goes far beyond their potential and tells me that Blasters are a completely broken AT.
  4. First, I was facetious, that is why at the end I said, "Seriously though" meaning, all joking aside... Now, having said that, I have to ask, you don't play Tanks much on teams, do you? I am guessing you have never been pushed almost clear across the room due to too many players all trying to get in to the middle of mobs. If Blasters are doing more damage than Scrappers, or even doing as much damage as Scrappers, that is clearly a sign that the AT is broken. The last thing a Blaster should be wanting is to get in to melee distance of mobs. The fact Blappers exist tells me the fundamental problem is with the AT itself. The Mob area gets pretty darn crowded, adding Blasters to the list of ATs that gets within melee range is overkill IMO. Especially since it is an overkill that goes beyond the AT design.
  5. I don't doubt it, lol. I can hear you now, "Hold on, switching to my BLAPPER!@!!!@!!!" lol
  6. As a Tank, stay out of my mobs... There are too many players in melee range as it is, far too many. You get shoved all over the place by the collision mechanics, always fighting for position. Add Blasters who think they are scrappers to that mix, the problem becomes even worse. When that happens, I stop taunting and turn off taunt auras and watch the so called blappers die. Seriously though, please stay out of melee, it's too crowded already.
  7. Even that I would think be painfully obvious. Two characters, doing the exact same thing at the exact same time. It might even be more obvious than somebody having an alt account follow them using the same power over and over. The person who accused me did nothing more than look at our builds, discover they were the same, seen that our characters matched outfits and looks, and then of course, we know what transpired from there...nothing good. However, like Ghost said, chances are they simply had a bad day. At least I hope that is all it was.
  8. I would think alt boxing would be too obvious.
  9. Now why on Earth do you have to play the theme song to the only movie to ever make me cry? P.S. I take that back, A.I. made me cry too, heh. And look, I'm a big burly tough dude, I don't cry easily, but damn...those two movies, if they don't jerk tears in your eyes, you simply aren't human, lol.
  10. Thanks, Ghost, really appreciate that. I checked the global name and like you, I had run with this one before. Kind of a serious type from what I can recall, but as you said, smooth. Odd thing is, if they wanted us to prove we weren't botting, I am sure we could have thought of something to prove that it was two separate people playing. Could've should've but didn't, heh.
  11. I forgot all about that part on Mudd's Women, lol.
  12. Some guys like blonds, some guys like brunettes, lol.
  13. Stellar and I send our congrats!
  14. Considering you are not booting them from a team over it, I think they'll be okay, lol.
  15. For starters, before anyone jumps down my interwebs throat, this is not a "This game is full of bots" accusation thread. However, it would seem the hysteria is starting up and some believe that there is a problem with it. So I pose the question, is this really a problem? I have personally never seen anyone running any bots in this game. Not once. I have seen obvious bots in every game I have ever played that was online, but never this one. However, that didn't stop somebody of accusing me of botting today. A certain individual (won't say their name, not trying sick anyone on them) today was advertising an ITF, Kill Most and I sent them a tell asking them to invite me and Stellarverse, who is played by my wife. Well, for truth's sake, she is not really my wife, but we live together and she might as well be my wife...just in case somebody wants to call me out on that and use that to discredit me...that info is now out there. However, after a very long wait, they send a tell back to me asking if Stellarverse is my bot...I reply with, "No, she's my wife." After another pause, I finally get an invite. I got the first invite, started to head to Steel Canyon from Brickstown and made it to Midnighter's Club before she got her invite. I get to the ITF contact and wait for her to get there as well. Once she arrives, I get a tell from the team leader telling me, "seriously we don't need two tankers with exact levels and builds." For disclosure purposes, my wife and I run an Elec/Energy Tank, exact same builds, both level 50 and both geared to the teeth. I'm an experienced player, she's still learning, that is the only difference. I respond by simply quitting and telling my wife to quit. I thought that was just purely dumb to have an issue with that, but whatever, it's their team, not mine, so to hell with it. I sent them a tell afterwards (my mistake, I should have just let it go, but the ignorance was too much for me to just say nothing.) informing them that was just a dumb reason to not want somebody on a team, but okay, whatever. That was when I found out the real reason they didn't want us on the team, the accusations of being a player with a bot started flying, calling me a liar, telling me I was being dishonest, telling me that I am stupid and being deceptive. At this point, my mind was blown. I was thinking to myself, 'there is no way this person can be serious right now? A bot? Really?' So now, I just have to ask, is botting a problem in this game or was this person just being paranoid over nothing? I have never once seen a bot in this game, the only bot I know of is @Bionic_Flea, lol. On a side note, that interaction didn't sit well with my wife, she was pretty upset about it. I can't say I blame her, but can I blame the leader of that team, or is botting really a problem?
  16. You feel sorry for them that they don't team up? Some people prefer to solo, that is nothing to feel sorry for them for. People tend to ease in to team play rather than dive in head first. Some people don't like to team at all.
  17. I have said and have always said; Flux. Outcasts should be a part of their own Task Force. After almost 20 years of people raiding the Frostfire mission Office building, I think they should get a little payback...or at least try. 😉
  18. I'm sure the Devs could add an option to turn down particle effects or any other option that makes powers fade depending on how high the slider is.
  19. Okay, I see you have already been educated a bit, so disregard my last transmission. 🙂
  20. First): It is absolutely not the only set that Sleeps, have you not taken a look at Ice? How about Elec or Plant? Second): Sleep is utterly useless with the exception of Elec's version of it, which continuously applies Sleep even after Sleep is broken. Players love to attack things...and for some reason they especially love to attack things that have just been put to Sleep. It's a pointless power. Elec fixed that with their version, sadly, it was not applied to other powersets, so Elec has the only truly useful Sleep. The only real use for Sleep that I can see is the fact that Sleep will drop toggles of NPCs that have no resistance to it, such as the Ruin Mages.
  21. My bets are on a Positron Homage. 😜
  22. Honestly, I don't have any plans at all to take the T9. Melee Core Embodiment and a couple of oranges can fill those shoes just fine and it doesn't come with a crash. On paper, this build with proper inspiration juggling (when debuffs are applied) should be capable of handling just about anything...with some skill of course. Now that part....I can't promise, lol.
  23. That is great to know, thank you very much. 🙂
