  1. One thing to note, if you are a villain the alignment power "Frenzy" will instafill your Domination bar. So I tend to run doms redside just so you can get the domination bar filled at the start of the session easy and keep it perma from then on
  2. I would ignore this thread tbh, the original poster has picked plant and then ignored 2 out of the 3 core powers of the set. The other thread is great though as it shows correct way to slot creepers. Below is my take on it: Notes: Vigor Core: Was going to go musculature, but slotting and power choices meant low accuracy, so vigor fixes that Earth Mastery: You will be at the damage cap due to FS, so having access to powers that you can heavily proc allows you to take the most advantage of FS. (you could even drop the acc/dam HamiO in fissure for an -res proc) Controller (Plant Control - Kinetics).mbd
  3. Why are you so pressed about it? I honestly cannot understand why you are so angry.
  4. Is it really that deep?
  5. If you don't mind using Envenomed Daggers from P2W vendor, then anything can take down an AV. Might take a while though XD.
  6. The new build looks pretty similar to the old one. I guess you just have different build goals than I do when it comes to sentinels, which is part of the fun of this game and how varied it is in slotting and power pick customisation 🙂 Also re fighting pool, elec armour is a resistance based set, so having access to tough to bolster S/L resistance is in your interests. Especially since otherwise you are only around 47%. That's just my opinion though and your mileage on this will vary of course depending on how you pilot the character. I build and play my sentinels generally as damage first and survival secondary. So my advice will always tend towards encouraging this methodology. Take from it what you want and mould it to your needs. Could even just take my build carbon copy onto brainstorm test server and see how it compares vs your builds in terms of damage output and survivability. Then you can make your personal build accordingly. That is what I tend to do if I see something I am interested in on the forums.
  7. I would personally pick @Camel build out of the ones in this thread, but then I tend to forgo defenses to max damage opportunities and lean on the power picks to keep me alive. I think going either Dark or Soul Mastery and not taking Spirit Drain or Soul Drain is criminal. Spirit Drain is objectively better than Soul Drain as it can be made almost perma. I like dark servant, as its free debuff that you don't have to worry about. Also free heals, I tend to slot 2x Acc/Heal hami in mine along with 4 slot cloud senses including the proc. Another pick I like to make is Petrifying gaze with a 53 Acc/Mez hami and 4 hold damage procs. That is juicy damage opportunity. Also fun is Howling Twilight slotted to nuke. So 50+5 Acc/Rech Absolute Amazement, 50+5 Recharge and then 4 TAoE/Slow Damage procs of your choice. You can trade the recharge for another proc if you'd prefer.
  8. I mean, you could slot both %BU and run a number of pylon kills and then slot the +rech and damage proc instead and run the test again and see if there is any noticeable difference between the two? Not like any of those IOs are onerously expensive, so wouldn't be difficult to run the experiment. Maybe run Unai Kemen council empire mission 5 times each way too and see if you notice much time difference in a "real life" setting?
  9. Aim with a Gaussian's proc and a L50+5 recharge would give you noticeable damage boosts to your Inferno
  10. I am looking over your build and I have some comments/observations I would like to make since we are on the topic of discussing builds. I think you will find this build is anaemic in its damage for a few reasons: 1. You have not taken an epic pool - for sentinels this is the place to acquire an attack or two that have generally great DPA and can add to your attack chains. The current flavour pick is electricity mastery which works thematically and opens you up to get Havoc punch which has a hefty 111DPA which would make it your second strongest attack just behind Zapping bolt at 120DPA. This is unslotted so doesn't take into considering damage procs which boosts it significantly and will make it your strongest DPA attack. 2. You have not slotted Tesla cage at all, this is not a hold, it is a blast that has a hold component and should be treated as a damage power. In your build currently Tesla Cage has an 81DPA due to the large number of damage buffs you have accumulated throughout the build. For comparison, at ED values of damage slotting this will increase to 141DPA and if you slot like I have with damage procs increases again up to 264DPA. So you are really missing out on some considerable damage opportunities there. (even with Adrenal Booster active you still only manage 99DPA.) 3. Your AOE will be lacking as you have really under slotted Short Circuit and no electric mastery means no Lightning field to continually provide you with AOE damage. There are also many other AOE options in the other epics for example I really like Dark Mastery as you get Smite that is still strong and offers many damage procs and Engulfing Darkness, which is a similarly really nice PBAOE option that can be heavily slotted for proc damage. Fire/Psionic/Weapons all offer similar damage options, its really just how you wish to pick and flavour your build. General build thoughts: You seem to be relying on Power Surge? I used to do this on my previous build, it is really quite fun actually. Obviously this comes with the caveat that you really need to be in power surge all the time to have your survivability because you have under slotted everything else so much that you likely will need to rely on power surge. I used to use Burnout to increase my time in Power Surge, it could be something to consider if you want to push towards this playstyle? Just a thought. Otherwise, generally I disagree with only two slotting energise. Its your only heal and will be what keeps you alive for a few extra seconds to get your next rotation off to potentially survive a fight. Charge up is probably over slotted, I would pull slots from there to give to energise. Much in the same way I would pull slots from Power Surge (leave at 2 slots of recharge to maximise the uptime) and give those to Tesla cage to boost the damage there. I don't think assault is adding much to your damage overall, I would be looking at dropping that to pick up at least 1 epic power attack. You could pick up an AOE immobilise to help stay safe (but sacrifice the option of a powerful single target attack) or pick up one of the melee attacks to hit hard on demand. I also think you can free up slots from Static shield, Grounded and Lightning Reflexes to slot up Short Circuit so it actually does some damage. Also RIP Voltaic Sentinel 🙏
  11. Invuln/EM is one of the classic combos back when sets were much more limited. Worth a shot! Ive got a Bio/EM and he hits like a truck, and Invuln has long been one of the premier set and forget tanker primaries.
  12. This is my ice/ice/ice im currently levelling 🙂 Hes in the mid 30s and softcapped already. Tanker (Ice Armor - Ice Melee).mbd
  13. That's a mids mistake then XD
  14. For starters, read/digest/absorb these two threads as the will help you generally Regarding Elec/Elec: I have attached my build below, which I have experience it breezing through most content. I aimed for two things: High melee defense (39% is what I managed and then rely on Barrier to cover the rest) and high damage (proc and slotting) I must stress that Elecs damage is really good because Tesla cage is really strong with the procs as is the Havoc punch. I haven't necessarily gone speed of sound because I am not a fan. Have always used CJ and Super speed in 99.9% of builds. You are welcome to see my slotting choices and play around with the options. Maybe swap the purples out for a cheaper set whilst you use the above threads to build up your inf to fund the expensive build. I tend to look at what set bonuses have been taken and then find the cheaper alternative. For example: would then become: So with the purple/pvp slotted variant you are looking at roughly 75-85M? vs obliteration set at roughly 10-15M. re Voltaic, I like voltaic and think its worthwhile having, especially when I find I have nothing better to pick instead. It helps a bit with DPS and draining and you only have to summon it once per instance. So its set and forget. Re going over the hardcap for resistance: not useful unless in situations where enemies debuff resistance. For example Longbow Nullifiers and their -res grenades. Re end drain: elec/elec/elec is end drain central. Unfortunately it is -recovery that is important as they just recover endurance and can attack again. Only short circuit has -recovery and its only a small -40% debuff, so just think of the endurance drain more as a boost to your damage from the Shocked mechanic more than anything. My advice: Slot cheap Common IOs and cheap IOs where you can to get the enhancement values as high as you can (acc/damage/end/rech) then build your inf and merit stache and slowly invest in your final OP build (mine for example if you wanted to) Examples of cheap IOs: Ranged: Ruin/Thunderstrike/Entropic Chaos TAoE: Detonation/Artillery PBAoE: Multistrike/Cleaving Blow Healing: Doctored Wounds Resist: Just mix res and res/end from different sets until you can afford Unbreakable Guard sets A bit of a ramble, but hope it helps? Sentinel (Electrical Blast - Electric Armor)2.mbd
  15. I always find it interesting how differently the same combo can be slotted ❤️
  16. This is my take on it. I run this set up on my storm/storm corr and I love power sink on storm corrs. You have power sink in both Electric and Mu mastery. Charged armour is marginally better in Mu mastery. Electric you can get Thunderstrike and proc-bomb like I have for a nice PBAoE nuke. Mu you can pick up Energise which gives you a heal on demand but importantly it has a huge endurance discount. It has a high recharge though, so lasts 30s and would recharge in about 74s. Build below, I have aimed for 1 small purple from range softcap and otherwise everything is damage orientated. Tornado and LS will be your recharge superchargers 🙂 Plenty of -res procs in the build so they should be firing often. Corruptor (Radiation Blast - Storm Summoning).mbd
  17. Tbf, if you are playing pre-50 then controllers are pretty damn broken. It's just after 50 when IOs and incarnates come into the picture that they fall off.
  18. Heres the build picture just in case 🙂 - I would probably run either Musculature Core to cover the 45% damage slotting or Intuition Radial for 33% damage buff and the extra range (both offer increased defense debuff enhancement)
  19. Well obviously not. But then what you want is (in my opinion) like asking for 100% of something when in almost every situation 50-75% will be enough. This is how I see empathy in the current game: Your heals are secondary to your buffs. If everyone is buffed with Fortitude, they are less likely to need healing. Fortitude can be placed permanently other 7 members of your team if its recharge is about 16s or thereabouts. How I personally would leverage Emp/Rad is primarily focussing on getting fortitude on the main engagers/carries and leave the others to when you have time to buff them. Healing is only going to be needed whatever gets through and you have enough healing just from aura and heal other. Therefore, I would (personally) look to leverage Rad blast by building damage into the build and using procs to increase teamwide damage through extra -resistance (in atomic blast) Ad boost is 1s off perma, so that can just be left on whoever is the main carry (Scrapper/Blasters etc) I would then be only focussing my damage on the hardest targets, you have 3 heavy hitters with single target damage (Proton Volley, Cosmic Burst and Dominate) Neutrino/X-ray are there for muling HP bonuses, but can be used to fill attack chain where needed. S/L is resist capped and HP is capped with accolades. (You could go soul and pick up power boost, but you cannot powerboost + fortitude the entire team. So you could decide to just save that combo for the biggest advantage on the frontliners or those who getting the most aggro. You also then lose out on huge damage potential from dominate, so its up to you on which you value more) Reiterate - this is how I would play this combo as I feel a pure healer is unnecessary in this game. Empathy's biggest advantage is its buffs. No right or wrong way to play the game or build a character, just different ethos and different goals/playstyles. Defender (Empathy - Radiation Blast).mbd
  20. I would suggest you pick up Aim, Proton Volley and Cosmic burst. Proton Volley is the best DPA available. If you want more damage, you will have to slot more damage procs in your attacks and swap to Musculature, but that comes with sacrifices. More damage also could be obtained by swapping to Fire mastery and grabbing Char (1 acc/dam + 5% procs) or Psionic for the same with Dominate. The more recharge you slot in a power from enhancement values and Alpha slot, the worse the proc percentages.
  21. No Aim on either build...are you high?
  22. Back when purples sold for 20-22M, I would go one step up on the sleaze and have lowballs between 14-16M and just simply relist that IO for 20.1M. Invariably they sold over the weekend. Margins weren't amazing, roughly 3.5M a sale, but it was consistent and constant. I would at any one time have upwards of 600 bids (10 stack on every purple) and it worked well. Unfortunately I took a 2 year break from the game, and when I returned the market had crashed. So I had a load of stock I couldn't bear to push at a loss. So it all went into a base and I've been using them ever since.
  23. Must have been a GM that removed your comment then. The one you posted in response to my build, which I cannot see in this thread anymore. Where you raised a number of points in a numbered format. Anyway its whatever, if it wasn't you that deleted that then sorry if you felt I am making accusations. That is not the case. I am also not "starting issues" as you put it. Again, as I said to you, disagreement is not personal attack. There is no personal attack in my post. In fact, the only reference to you at all is below: This is not any reference of you personally, it is clearly a reference to the build you posted. This game allows for a multitude of ways to kit out your characters both in pool/epic/slotting choices. So me highlighting that and then offering an alternate view and providing explanations on my viewpoint is how discourse works. Put out your view point, explain your view point. If people agree, they will. If people disagree, they will. In the latter, you can both explain your ideas and why you have them. Maybe one of you will learn something different or new. Or maybe you both will and there will be a lessening of the extremes. Since we are here out in the open having a discussion, and to allay any fears that you or others have that there is some kind of "harassment" going on as you say: Me putting thumbs down emojis does not constitute harassment. It one of the options the devs have given us to interact with each other and express our opinions. Albeit in a rather reductive and low-context format. I can understand that you feel that that constitutes personal attacks against you, but you are on the internet and you posting builds at such a volume is you accepting people coming to that forum and either agreeing or disagreeing with you. I have seen in earlier posts that you have said that you have received death threats or something along those lines, that fucking sucks man. Lets be real here, that is not ok. I also, therefore, understand that you might then react the way you do because of how you've been treated in the past. That is understandable. It doesn't necessarily excuse it, but it is understandable. Anyway, I am rambling. I have said my piece.
