  1. I think it might be interesting and appropriate to have Resistance and Loyalists as different shades of purple. Like Violet for Resistance and Magenta for Loyalists. I also think it could use an explanation or list of the "11 basic archetypes" or a list of the 4 you can't get as a Praetorian.
  2. GL = Good Luck Therefore they must be insuring against a run of bad luck!
  3. Kaizen, at some point, I'd also like to run a low level team (10-20) to fight Babbage, Paladin, and Kraken as those are the ones a low level team are most likely to encounter. If I'm missing any we can add some. It's easy enough on test to level to 15 and auto-enhance with SOs with the freebies menu. I could also switch characters as needed for your test.
  4. Just keep in mind that Paladin is in King's Row, a level 6 - 10ish zone, and players that level are bound to run into him fairly frequently. It might be interesting to try on a team of 8 level 10s . . . for science!
  5. Yeah, I just tried Paladin with my Crabstermind and between his endurance drain, extra HP and Regen, and his Cheaty McCheatface [Coil Pulse] power, he's gonna be tough to solo. I got him to around 20% a few times, but that's about when he uses Coil Pulse. Edit: I went back in and loaded up on base buffs, switched to Degenerative Core Alpha, and used a Signature Summon and a Backup Radio as well as all my pets and Lore Pets. I thought I had him, then a Coil pulse killed most of my pets. No biggie, they are almost recharged. Bring them all back up and keep up the pressure . . . and he COIL PULSED AGAIN. I think that may be on a very low recharge. Possibly 0.00 recharge!!! Proof:
  6. Hmmm . . . I might be able to make it. Depends how quick we get done with dinner. I'll try to be there, but no need to wait on me.
  7. Unless the events are active, the only way to do it is Dev/GM magic powers.
  8. Regen will be buffed in closed beta, rebuffed in open beta, then all buffs retracted and further nerfed when sent to live. @Jimmy likes drinking the tears of degenerate regenerators. Apparently they're high in antioxidants and taste like a minty green tea.
  9. But Jimmy, can you explain this cows and waves stuff?
  10. While I always encourage testing, I don't think that this particular wrinkle can be properly tested until it's live with hundreds and perhaps thousands of teams being formed. It's hard to get a team together on test and when you can it's some dedicated players looking to test a specific thing.
  11. You can't stop now! Think of the children! I demand a refund!
  12. I barely skimmed the other responses, so pardon me if this has already been said. I am a comic book nerd. I grew up reading them and loving them and still have dozens of boxes of comics. Growing up I frequently imagined myself as a super hero - fighting crime, helping people, etc. I never imagined myself as Dr. Doom, Luthor, Red Skull, or Venom. I think maybe a lot of other players had similar fantasies. So when this game came out I was in love from my first few minutes in Atlas. I didn't mind playing redside too much because it wasn't much different that blueside in that I had super powers and beat up bad guys. But it was new ATs and some new powers and a lot of new missions and places to visit. Sometimes they were the same bad guys, sometimes they were different bad guys. And as stated above, very few stories actually make the player feel like a villain. The only things that make me play redside more is an occasional desire to do something different, switching over for a quick TF, and the rare planned theme group of players.
  13. Personally, I don't mind the addition of the diversity bonus. I see it as a bonus. But I also never require specific ATs or builds when building a team unless absolutely needed (like a Hammy raid or LGTF). So, for me it would be a bonus if we happened to fulfill the role requirements. If we don't, I would never ask someone to change just to get it. However, the first time someone kicks me or tells me that I have to change my character because "I brought the wrong AT" is the time I stop thinking of it as a happy bonus. I don't run a lot of 4* stuff because many leaders enforce a very narrow group of "required" builds and I-Powers. I hope this Role Diversity thingie doesn't have the same effect, but it might. One solution might be to expand the roles and let more ATs have multiple roles so that it is more likely that just about any group would have the requirements as long as the ATs were different. I'm not against the bonus, I'm against other players enforcing diversity on me so that they can get the bonus.
  14. Hey, @Captain Powerhouse! Can [ICE ELEMENTAL] be allowed to tale slow sets please? The Patron Pets can take KB (Leviathan), DefDebuff and AccDefDebuff (Mace), EndMod (MU), and ToHitDebuff + AccTohitDebuff (Soul). As Ice elemental is patterned after the Patron pets, with the same super long recharge, it seems only fair that it also get to slot for it's secondary effects, like the Patron pets can. Please? Never mind! It CAN take holds and slow sets in addition to pet and intensive recharge pets. Thanks!
  15. Would splitting the baby be worth considering? Half Absorb and half +MaxHP? That would certainly make it a unique power.
