  1. 10. Two become a bedder spellerer!
  2. The thing I have found about CoH over these last 18 years or so is that there is a lot of different things to do and those things appeal to different people. We have: Speed running Marketing Soloing Badging Costume making Build making Farming Power leveling Giant Monster Hunting Hardmode (ing?) Exploring Lore diving Story telling Role playing Base designing PvPing Did I miss anything? The last few patches were a boon for hardmode lovers, which really didn't exist since The Really Hard Way badge became relatively easy. And this last patch in particular was detrimental to AE farming and PLing. So I can understand that those that like hardmode are more excited than those that like farming. But they still have all those things in my list. I personally dabble in all of them to some extent although I do more of the top of the list than the bottom. If you are feeling burnt out, there is nothing wrong with taking a break. I have done that at times. But other times I have tried to break out of my rut by trying something new or giving myself a challenge. If you do take a break, I hope you come back. I don't think I've ever played with you, Warpact, and we've certainly never met, but I've always enjoyed reading your posts.
  3. What witchcraft is this Shifting chain? I saw it, but my brain isn't processing it. You were constantly switching from Human to Dwarf and seemingly getting multiple attacks off. WITCHCRAFT!!
  4. Sorry to seem like a marketer, but I too love pop-tarts and was sad to have to give them up. And then I found . . . diet pop-tarts!
  5. Yes. Some of the older custom critters used to be 100%, but the formula was changed and now you need more attacks/powers to get to 100% XP.
  6. That may have been the idea. I just don't think it's a well thought out idea. 1) Why do you (generic you, not Vanden) want to encourage only max level characters to play? 2) Incarnates still get the Aether. Giving it to other levels does not disincentivize max levels to get the reward. It just incentivizes everyone to play. 3) Has there ever been an issue or problem with level 50s NOT running the WSF? It seems to me that about half of most WSF teams are level 50 already.
  7. I've mainly soloed just about every defender primary and secondary between live and now, just not every possible combination of the two. I say mainly because I do team up to do the occasional TF or trial. It is definitely possible to do and some combinations are easier than others. I like rad emission a lot. Although it may not be as shiny or fancy as some of the newer favorites, it has a solid toolkit for whatever you need. Rad blast, however, is not one of my favorites. But it is VERY procable, which works very well with defenders due to their lower base damage.
  8. I agree with Ukase. Aether is just for costumes; purely cosmetic. It does not grant or lead to any additional power. It is available as a random drop upon mission completion starting from level 1. There is no good reason that it should have the same restrictions as incarnate rewards. It seems crazy to me that it's OK for me to get one randomly at level one, but my level 50 that doesn't have alpha unlocked or my level 49 is unworthy to get them on the WSF.
  9. Klaatu, barada nikto.
  10. At level 40 with Farsight you could be at or over softcap with proper slotting and power choices. Base defense from Farsight is 9.375 on a controller, so you gave it maybe one slot?
  11. I'm Cell Shady. Yes, I'm the real Shady. All you other Cell Shadys are just a map-serving. So won't the real Cell Shady please stand up?
  12. I know this isn't a feedback thread, but since it has the right title I'd like to lodge a protest that PAPs do not drop in WSTs UNLESS you are level 50. In my opinion they should drop after WSF completion regardless of level. This is not incarnate related, although it does drop mostly in hard mode and I-trials, because it does not add to any incarnate powers, is only for cosmetic purchases (and a few badges), and can be a random drop after any mission completion from level 1 on.
  13. The accolade just makes a clickable icon that allows you to choose any of the costumes you've purchased from a drop-down menu.
  14. Off the top of my head: Stone/Dark melee. Capped resists, softcapped defense, impressive regen, extra -tohit, and a heal (two if you put Power Transfer heal proc in Dark Consumption).
  15. Allow me to break the trend.
  16. The UI says that the name is taken, but if you keep going down the character creation clicks it should let you create the character with the "taken" name. . . . Unless it really is taken.
  17. Ohhhh. It's the generic announcement: "Starting (name) TF, level X+, Y merits, PST." And then add, "It's the weekly so bonus XP, merits, etc. if it's your first one this week"
  18. Yeah, something like that, but I'm not sure what the LFG and LFG WST is about. I know what they stand for, but not what they are representing or adding in your menu.
  19. It's your baby, so you can do as you wish and I appreciate you making adjustments and taking the time to explain. However, I do not see why this non-Itrial incarnate content has to be level 54 when all of the DA arcs and repeatables are based at level 50. Why is this incarnate stuff from the past harder than incarnate stuff from the present? Just like the Mender Ramiel arc, many players and ATs can solo it and many can not. But the player still gets to decide at what level to run it and whether he or she wants or needs assistance.
  20. Even if all you do is solo, the TF popmenu could be valuable to see how many missions are left, and hints on what to do on TFs that you may not have memorized. PS - I'm self-employed and also mainly solo as I may have to leave suddenly to take a call, respond to an email, or otherwise step away from the game for a few minutes to a few hours.
  21. Shield is fun on stalkers. You can easily soft-cap, and get some resist and +HP, along with a second tele-attack in Shield Charge to pair with Savage Leap. And that gives you a decent amount of AoE on a ST specialist AT. I thought I had made one, but it was a savage/shield brute. Tons of fun. For what it's worth, here's the build I made for that.
  22. You can get a guaranteed Prismatic Aether from the Weekly TF/SF and random on mission completions. Running around testing stuff I got 8 or 9 from mission completes.
  23. Local Man! I know that name.
  24. If you, @KaizenSoze (or someone), could make a popmenu with nested menus with each TF, that would be truly awesome! Have each TF listed in the order they are in LFG; click on a TF and get the list of missions, click the mission to get one or several hints that get placed in team chat. While I agree with Ukase and others that merely having the tools will not mean people will know how and when to use them, or even want to use them. But I do think it will help some. I would go further to suggest that, once the popmenu is created, you recruit a few people that volunteer to learn, follow you on the TFs to see how and when you use the instructions, and then let those folks recruit their own volunteers. For convincing Ukase, I offer the following:
