  1. You can actually turn that off. Go to Option-> Configurations ->Effects & Maths and click on "HitByFoe, MissionObjectiveClick, ActiveAttackClick under suppression and that will show you the actual in-combat defense numbers.
  2. Do we know if this is intentional or not? and if it is intentional, why?
  3. Although I haven't timed it, it "feels" like scream does the same. I have noticed that Shriek seems to take forever to activate using the alternate animation.
  4. Here's my build, it trades a little bit of regen for some more defense/resistance you could probably switch out resurgence for something else... perhaps Combat Readiness, but I personally like having the rez on hand. Also, ignore the slot levels I pretty much have everything attuned/will be attuned.
  5. you just miss out on them completely
  6. I think it's actually 16. And to answer your second question... Because?
  7. 70 is pretty warm for a 16 year old game, but totally safe. If you feel uncomfortable with it, a lot of graphics cards have software where you can change the fan curve to something more aggressive.
  8. There is an in game tip that says otherwise.
  9. This proc does not seem to be firing in Rise to the Challenge. In 40 minutes I didn't see the health number appear above my head, but to top it off I did a /copychat of my combat log and can't find it in there either. below is a link to the Google Doc of the combat log (at least 1000 lines, which is apparently what /copychat is limited to) https://tinyurl.com/yb92vovk Sorry for all the gobblty-gook code, wasn't sure how to get rid of it short of manually going line by line, but I just did a find for Panacea and nothing turned up.
  10. The problem with Illusion/Pain is that you are mostly buffs/heals, Phantom Army can't be buffed/healed, meaning only Phantasm benefits from your secondary (solo). If you plan on almost exclusively teaming, then yeah, Pain is a decent set. As others have said, not top tier, but also not bottom of the barrel. Might I recommend Illusion/Dark? It's a really fun combination.
  11. What combos are you thinking about re-rolling? some are better suited for brutes than tanks and visa versa.
  12. I'm assuming your goal is farming? in which case, yeah, it's a solid build, but as thisisme said, it's really expensive and you could probably get away with something cheaper and get the same effect. Also, you're missing Throw Spines, which IMO is a great thing to have as it's one more AoE in your arsenal for farming. There's a topic somewhere around here about a poor-man's guide to fire farming, you might want to check that out. If you want to do more than just fire farm, here's my build that can farm and do ITFs pretty well (as well as other content). It's also substantially cheaper, as you only have 2 WIO sets, though you lose a bunch of recharge, with Ageless, I don't notice it.
  13. Well... yeah... all of these suggestions only work if you have good teamwork. I do agree that (almost) any combination with good teamwork will steamroll through content.
  14. That sounds like why I created a Stone/MA tank, all the jumps and backflips and such in Granite look hilarious. Now I need to see about whirlwind.
  15. Don't feed the trolls?
  16. you just made my day
  17. this was exactly what I was going to suggest, if a change is needed at all.
  18. 4 Empathy defenders built with the following guidelines Heal Aura - Required by level 1, 3 heals required Heal Other - not required Absorb Pain - not required but useful. 2.5 times as powerful as heal other Resurrect - not required, but nice. Clear Mind - Required by level 20. no slotting recommended or required Fortitude - Required pick at level 12. 2 Defense slots before 22. Recharge and tohit slots to taste. Recovery Aura - Required pick at level 18. 3 recharge slots by level 20. Endmod if you want but not needed. Regeneration Aura - Required pick at level 26. Slot 3 recharges in it by level 27. Slot 3 heals in by level 31. Adrenalin Boost - Required pick at level 32. Slot 3 recharges in it by level 33. Slot 2 heals by level 38 Hasten - 3 Slotted with recharge by level 18 Assault - required by level 24 Tactics - required by level 24, slot with 3 tohit buffs by level 35. obviously you can change min/max with Frankenslotting to build the same thing. The Green Machine build above will plow through just about anything, you'll basically become regen tanks with soft-capped defense.
  19. unless you have logged in and did not completely clear your current Patrol XP
  20. ^ what he said
  21. I personally have never used it, but you're going to lose the E/N defense bonus from 5 slotting Focused Burst with Winter's Bite, but technically you'll still be over the cap, so you should be good.
  22. Another synergy is both sets like to play in melee, so there's that.
  23. I believe the teleport isn't considered a mez, so Domination/Hybrid won't affect this. any thing that gives +mez is duration, not magnitude.
  24. It's annoying, yes, but there's a simple fix for it. If you set the mission as your active task, it will stay there regardless of how many times you zone (it will be the red one, not the yellow one)
  25. if you have more than a couple of IOs that you need to pull out, you can also do a Respec, allowing you to pull out up to 70 (though at the cost of having to pick/reslot all of your powers again.
