  1. My favorite is probably Max's mission in DA where you have to fight Requiem and the Reichman
  2. Time bomb is completely skippable I personally love seeker drones as an alpha cracker and for the To-hit and damage debuffs they provide. I could see not needing that alpha cracking ability on an Illusion though. Triage is helpful in some situations, but as Doc said, if you've got perma-PA you probably don't need it. If you can spare the power pick and slots, it does have a couple nice +recharge bonus sets though.
  3. Here is version 2 of the build... I was aiming for survivability first and recharge second on this one, I suspect it will do a bit better than the previous build in harder content, but all feedback is welcome.
  4. Hi, Looking for help with my Therm/DP who is currently level 50 but only about 1/2 built. I'm also looking for advice for incarnate choices. My main goal is to be as helpful as possible in HM ITFs. thanks!
  5. Ok, so I just did some fiddling around with it and apparently its not Homecoming Launcher, its lutris, because when I run the wine command with the path to the launcher file it launches just fine.
  6. I'm suddenly having trouble getting the launcher to run in Ubuntu 22.04. The problem started when I installed Steam on my computer. Ever since then, Lutris just freezes when I try to run Homecoming. I tried turning on and off steam play compatibility and tried changing my Proton from experimental to 7.0-3 like Toxis suggested, but am still not having any luck. Anyone else experience this sort of problem?
  7. Im running Ubuntu 22.04 Mids 3.2.17 and an Acer 27 inch monitor. I was actually originally trying this on my Asus laptop that has a 17" 4k monitor. It seems better on my Acer display, probably because of the lower pixel density, but I still need to get a bit closer to it to be able to read some things.
  8. you can still do this mission, which is great. https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Mr._Rodney
  9. That doesn't take place in Grandville, so it may not be the one he's talking about. but I don't know what other arc it could be.
  10. For pvp, I don't like it because it would spread out the already low number of PvP players since now there is no reason to be in one zone over the others. For PvE I stand by what I said earlier. In level-less games all mobs are designed to be not too hard for level 1 players, but not too easy for max level players. This is not the case with CoX, so the enemies would either have to all be rebalanced or you would just end up confusing players who don't know things like "at level 1 you don't go to peregrine Island"
  11. Level-less games exist and are an interesting design and can be fun (pre-homecoming I pretty much exclusively played ESO) however, the whole game is balanced around the fact that the mobs are level-less. Every mob group that isn't already 1-50 would have to be rebalanced to be not too easy at level 50 but not too hard at level 1. Not worth it this far into the game's existence.
  12. I think most story arc temp powers actually can be gotten multiple times. I know the Striga powers can be.
  13. One thing you forgot is melee hybrid, fully saturated you can get some hefty resists out of it for 2 minutes at a time, meaning you could go Rune->Hybrid->Rune then have to wait a minute to reactivate hybrid
  14. Why isn't "Hell no" an option?
  15. It's a temp power and you only can get it once.
  16. If you're going TA/AR you might be better off as a corruptor, just a thought
  17. Yeah, it no longer stacks
  18. Hi all, I'm trying to make the switch over to Linux from Windows, specifically Ubuntu 22.04. I got Mids up and running through WINE but the program doesn't seem to scale right on my 4k monitor. As you can see, everything is really tiny. I've tried resizing the window (which changes the scale of everything in Win10) but nothing seems to resize. I've also tried changing the DPI settings in my WINECFG but that only affected the text size (which made the program harder to use). It doesn't look like you can force WINE to use a specific resolution for a program, which would fix the problem, as when I lower the resolution of my monitor everything works fine. Anyone have experience with this and know of any solutions? Thanks,
  19. Perhaps electric? Not just for thematics, but electric helps drain mobs faster. Elec/Elec defenders are the 2nd best sappers in the game (Elec/Elec controllers topping them) so I'd think corruptors would do pretty well as well.
  20. They can be stacked by both the same caster and different casters right now. What I'm seeing is a nerf in your suggestion.
  21. I'm against completely redesigning the set. I do think, as some have said, that it needs some tweaks. In no particular order, here's what I'd do: Increase the cone of Full Auto a fair amount Increase the damage of Full Auto a little Decrease the cast time of flamethrower Decrease the cast time of ignite
  22. The fact that they can be stacked is where their strength really comes in. Sure, 300% Regen isn't bad, but 600% Regen is even better
  23. Time to stress test my SR/Kat again
  24. Nature and EA are generally the top two sets for really hard content, they're more on the buff side of things though. Rad/Sonic defenders were considered the king of things before IOs/incarnates were around, so doing the corruptor version sold still be viable, though you'd have to invest pretty heavily in self defense and you don't provide a whole lot of defense for your team (at least until you start firing vengeance + fallout)
  25. It would make squishy single target sets significantly stronger than squishy AoE sets. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense conceptually either, I'd say when someone gets shot/set on fire/frozen/whatever the people around him would tend to notice.
