It's quite easy to get multiple pets in game - which is a lot of fun. Especially for controllers and SoA. And of course you can also get pets from some of the PPPs. I was frequently told on live to use the various procs for pets when designing a build. There are several specific sets and it kind of makes sense. But if you're playing a controller for example and you have your main pet up all the time, is it better to slot that pet with the procs or have it do what it's good at and slot your "secondary" pet - many PPP pets are on a timer IIRC - be the mule that carries the procs? Does it even make a difference? Does anyone know?

So I'm in the process of rolling a new /TA troller due to a couple of interesting threads and some fond memories of /TA on live - not the least my Fire/TA and my Plant/TA (which was a complete monster even then) I don't want to repeat those - nor do I want to remake one of my favourite trollers on live an Earth/Thermal - fantastic support, great survivability, rubbish damage, would lock a map down and tickle mobs to death. Earth/TA sounds quite fun - but under normal circumstances that would force me to take Fire Mastery to ensure I get the most out of OSA. I dislike Fire Mastery and I am a big fan of Leviathan - the whole Shark Skin and vomiting toxic over your enemies just appeals to me. So is there a pool set that works well and would ignite OSA? I'm looking at Sorcery - Arcane Bolt might, as might Enflame - and it has other benefits too (Does Spirit Ward work on pets?) It is not immediately apparent if any other pool powers can do what I ask. It may be this is an unfortunate pairing for that reason but your input is welcome.

love my Plant/TA which I made on live many years back. Very strong, quite pretty.

loving this thread. I don't know if it's possible but I would LOVE to play on a pre-invention Server. (Issue 9?) That would be real nostalgia. Don't get me wrong I think inventions truly enhanced the game but as some have pointed out they did facilitate a more homogeneous kind of character.

Interesting. It sounds like fun - glad it works well for you. On live I had a Fire/TA controller that was super fun. I might have to recreate something similar.

I might study that. I use an Orbweaver myself and a Naga MMO mouse. I'm still crap at all games but at least I look the part! 😂

I wanted to TP to Apex for a Tinpex double -- I found myself at Alastor in the Rogue Isles. I figured I'd maybe clicked the wrong contact accidentally so I tried TPing to Lady Grey for her TF. I ended up in Sharkhead I tried to TP to Tin Mage and was given the prompt (which i'd not really scrutinized previously) that I was going to TP to Alastor again. I logged out of the game entirely which solved the immediate issue - a relog and the LFG worked. I had previously teamed on a Who Will Die but I'd swapped characters by then.

TA is a great set. I made a few very interesting TA chars on live. The base concept of this kind of jars in a way - a bow and a rifle and interchangeable attacks seems weird but it could be a lot of fun to play. I don't know much about BR but your stats are impressive

Honestly I don't care who I play with or what ATs they are unless it's a particular challenge. This game has a fundamental strength in that it can be the game you want, and quite a different game for somebody else. That's an amazing and highly underrated quality and we forget it too frequently.

Alternative models for MM pets. Controllers get a few options (well some do) and the pets are similar to weapons in an MM's arsenal, so it's only fair. Vehicles - Cars, Trucks & Motorcycles; cosmetic travel powers that can be piloted through Paragon (and the RI) to get from A2B (and of course we could have road races) ATT that resembles a rocket ship to get me to the next mission. Why would I have a Longbow Flyer or an Arachnos troop ship to take me to a mission when I'm just about to beat down on them? The award of the Tourist badge would give you a costume power that... makes you look like a tourist, The only way you can travel around is by walking and pausing to take photos occasionally. While wearing this disguise you can be almost immune to residents of the zone you are in, but if you change back to your normal outfit there's a chance you get ganked by the local mobs because you're obviously a spy.

Has anyone rolled up a Bicentennial Man yet? What kind of AT would that be? Probably a Tech/Clockworky type thing

I quite like off the wall builds. I love that people can play this game in kooky strange ways and still come up winning. That's one of the beauties of the game for me - you can play this game so differently every time.

Did a mission on Tina Mc's arc last night against Carnies - I think the mission title was "Speak to the Person in Charge" - the mission entry text was "you here a tiny version of "As Time Goes By" playing" Small music. Who'd have thought?
