If you have merits and can find ANY Archetype enhancer on the Auction... Play Enhancement roulette. Convert out of type until the right type is delivered. Then convbert in set to get the one you want. Buy cheap and roll baby roll

Long time Brute player. Due to the way HC has made changes I now roll Tanks instead of Brutes. Slightly more survivable (generally it doesnt matter...until it does) The AoE is significantly different. If you are an AoE heavy build Tank is almost always better. But even if not... Every Melee has AoE. My Fav Dark has a few weird AoE things in the toolkit. So an Invul Dark Tank is, for me, better than a Dark Invul Brute. I always take Taunt on Tanks. Generally do it on Brutes now as well. Stupidly overpowered power pick. Ranged Mezz mind control. I even take it on my Ice Ice Tank. And that thing can walk into a warehouse and pull (and keep) all the agro without even saying hi.

A little used (some people are too cheap) helpful option are P2W Med Pack, Recovery Serum, and Ethereal Shift. You can walk through hell with ethereal shift on. Well, fast walk, lasts 30 secs...

I am playing a lot of Blasters lately. I build tough. I build to take the alpha on a full spawn at +0. Depending on the powers sets there are various tricks for this. If it is a tough spawn i tend to have 3-6 med purples and i eat one of those. If it goes sideways I eat another. I too notice the Tanks and Brutes are.... less than optimal. Bruting used to be my thing. I have 50d many a Tank. Controlling the fight is the fun. For me. I look at some of these heavies and think the player must be huffing paint in between spawns. It is harder to tell with support classes. If they are good you just do great. Without ever quite knowing why. Since I am a fan of oddball positioning on my Blasters (way in front of the team playing like a Red Brute or way ranged and away....) I rarely get heals and buffs even with good support players. But it is sure easy to notice the Tanks and Brutes scratching their butts, picking their noses and otherwise being useless. When they are not dragging a crapton of agro to the squishies because they are over their head and want help.

That is why on smooth builds 33-50% of my insp are reds. Just farming at that point

When i started the game I had a huge issue with hoarding inspirations and even buff up powers. Not wanting to “waste” them. I still sort of do I have a whole inspiration dance routine. I keep an AH macro button to open Auction between missions, where I top off. In mission, if it is easy , i burn one or two to open inspiration slots. There are badges for rejecting inspirations. You need an open slot to get credit. If the mission is tough i calculate the map size and burn one or two for tougher situations. If my inspiration tray goes empty i either got WAY out in front of myself or the leader/team sucked. Someone made a shit call One of my favorite Blasters is AR. No need to save/calculate buff up. If out of combat for a few seconds your first shot hits harder. You can practice this rhythm in all but the toughest non stop fights. If you reposition you almost always get the buff. Rather than clean up the last couple minions reposition and Full Auto the part of the room the other half of the team is working with +dam 1st strike

Lol noooooo I was NOT on that TF. 1st rule of things like Faathim. Full team is a must. So….I would not have started with a short team unless i knew one or two of the other maniacs. Also…. These…( so many words fit here ) … were running a Shadow Shard TF at increased difficulty. <insert Eddie Murphy maniacal laugh>. What could possibly go wrong? Yeah. If you shoot yourself in both feet do not waddle over to me and complain/brag about what a tough walk it was.

THe problem with people is encapsulated in this drama. Often, when someone is dead wrong they cannot see it. Everyone else is the ones that are wrong. Time for me to dig more holes. sigh.

I used to run a lot of brutes and a few tanks. Now i run mostly blasters and a few corruptors. There are odds and ends but that is about it

This might be what was happening. I am on an AR, not a Fire. But still, I purposefully did not overlevel the TF. Exactly 15, no exemplar effect. Snipe and M30 at 95% dam, and all other attacks at 90% PLUS rocking the P2W procs and the Blaster proc in M30. (for accuracy I rely on DFB bonus, targeting drone and a Kismet in concealment) So, if there was a way for me to pull from a meat shield I might have achieved that. And I would bet a good chunk of infamy not one of those Brutes or Tanks had Taunt. (My tanks and lately my Brutes always take Taunt, even at low level if teaming)

As stated before the team NEVER listens to my instructions on this mission. But I will TRY to get them to do this next time. I always want to clear around City Hall steps first. If I am on any non melee then the doors are not an issue. I have enough DPS/Control to overwhelm the CoT egressing that political hellhole.

I do not talk about the smooth runs. Kind of like writing a story. No drama no interest. Last night...wow...drama. I am still trying to figure if it was mostly just door spawn and the team was just really slow killing so it looked like more, or if the tanks and brutes had agro as they came in and dragged extra mobs. Maybe a combo.

I recently started learning German. When I listen to how Germans say "Pinguin" I almost laugh every time. German has a few rough sounds. It can also sound hilarious.

So i start a Posi 1. I am on a Blaster. We fill. There are 3 Tanks and 2 Brutes First question; is there equation that desribes the fact of the less damage a team does the more that team wants to attack more objectives? It was not horrid. It was not great. My fully ranged AR Blaster still had to use tricks to lock down the agro. Oh and we had a dom or troller too, they were purple anyway. Still i caught agro We get to the last mission. You already know. After the team wiped and reassembled one of the group says “congratulations, the is the most agro I have ever seen pulled on that map” They were not kidding. After we freed the four heroes we moved near the city hall steps. I will take the blame for saying nothing. In my defense I have never had a single instruction given on that map followed. So, I just watched and hoped for the best. Yeah, we missed the best by a wide margin. I am flying. I see the larger part of the team play it smart. There is a big spawn of CoT at the base of the steps. That needs to be knocked down before we…..I watch as one of our team flies above the city hall like a drunk bee. Then alights ever so calmly right in front of the door. Then walks down the stair to where the team has started the fight with CoT. I dont know where all the CoT came from. I have done that TF a lot. It seemed like WAY more than what pours out the door. We gave it a helluva try. I used a few team purples and team greens. Level 15 so a few was all i had. After about 4 minutes we were down. When i made it back they were just finishing off CoT at our spawn point. The only ones left in the scrum below the steps were about 8-9 ruin mages. We finished in about 35 min. There was no reason the last 10 min had to be so bad.

I just started an epic solo project. I will team here and there for a badge. But for the foreseeable future 90% of my in game time is solo But, when you think about it, we are all solo.
