I do love the thought of another zone redside. MarineX, WampusRat and others have noted that a co op zone would make more sense. I think a co op zone with missions/content focused in the 20-40 range and maybe an incarnate something sprinkled on top to conclude the story? I love the ideas for grottos and sea caves and subterranean satellite dishes. Maybe take those coralax and undead pirates and croatoa lore and weave a story that will send shivers down a strong mans spine. Having this be co op would be the kindest to redsiders. (speaking as a redsider) If it was purely Redside everyone would play it for two months. Then a dedicated Redsider is trying to team there on a Dom in the 3rd month. crickets. You can build a nasty villain and at 35 start chilling in the RWZ and get some stuff, not a lot but some. and ITF. if the teams will have a lowbie. Putting in more stuff that allows 20+ reds to team with the rest of the population would be a true boon.

i get it Jasper. in my Snarky way i am trying to say no one, or 10 of us doing (or not doing) normal activity will affect the market. Starting about 6 months? ago I noticed a crazy trend in the uncommon salvage. now i am seeing stuff that makes no sense in the i/o market

You used to sell everything in the base. Trying to figure this out. you had 1200 enhancers nut you went through them all. That is....nothing. Market moving wise. You sell. Yes! Yes! I sell. We are like brothers. You should come over. Grab a bite. You used to sell for nothing and try to buy for less. Interesting strategy. Now you buy low and sell high. *pats your head. The thing is I am NOT flipping. And I will post items for a week. The bid histories and my experiences selling an item have NO correlation.

Behind every extensive explanation is a person with their hand in your wallet…. Your advice boils down to suck it ip and put more stuff on the AH. So, you backdealing bitcoin money to gamble or you just a true believer in it?

There is the rub. I only farm to PL myself. Which generates recipes. OCD kicks in. Craft, convert, look at market, double take wtf….

i do not actually have a ton of inf in CoH. do not need it. liquid a couple billion and a base chock full of i/o i make a decent amount on crafting converting. there has been a significant change in AH in last 6 months. it started with uncommon salvage. like someone weirdly cornered the market. now i see it in the few regular money making i/o it consists of this phenomenon try to buy one of these "pretty good" I/Os at 3 million. No luck. Try to sell one at 4 million. no luck. Bids show they are selling for 2 million. but you can never buy one at that price. There is still a little profit in the same old I/os but the profit is lower. and the games are written all over the bid history. Someone (and I suspect a SG or Cartel...has discovered how to mass farm the market and they are putting the F to U (and me) I may just quit the AH/Inf system and self support through merits. I have no time in my life to be screwed by people who WANT to be used car salesmen so desperately they train in old CoH To be clear I think the AH system has been brute force hacked somehow, with some leverage placed on it or a kink in the code someone has discovered in timing of bids, etc

tank is good, but benefits less from recent tanker changes in that SS was the one least improved for tanks. footstomp was judged too good already. SS you are going to be using footstomp and knockout blow at high level, a lot brute will do more damage

energy is meh. if you want to excel (and the crash does not irritate) go SS. if you want to teleport AoE electric energy is not horrid, since changes recently. just not....wow

they tend to be energy straight up i think if you are a purist

to try to make a very complicated thing simple.... the orinal devs took a simple thing. contact that gives content. then made it complicated. that "content" was randomly assigned to 3-5 different contact names. you randomly get one. then they did that about 30 more times. so trying to do "all content" you have to cross check a couple hundred ghost contacts

I am sorry to hear about your health issues. I desperately want to say something like “ have you tried not smoking…”. There, i said it But I get what you are saying. Sometimes having what we consider an “outside force” make the decision is what it takes. And our own survivability be damned if we are in the drivers seat. There was this time in Cleveland. I knew I should avoid that blood bank, too much security. City full of hunters. Did that stop me? Nope. Was digging out bits of shrapnel and 22 rounds for weeks afterward.

This would open up a new world of gaming for me. Seriously I would of course make an all zombie Necro Dark. Goes without saying Ever see the old Batman TV shows? Or Venture Bros? The minions! The minions make it work. Having random soldiers thugs or undead is…honestly hard for me to work more than one concept out of. Having the soldiers wear outfits? Having the undead be all one type (of my choosing…ghosts, black shadow dogs, zombies, skeletons!! Game changer

heck for a few months about a year ago i knew a dozen people that were on "die and reroll" characters. i think using SO or drops only. not sure, i never wanted that pain. they did it nonstop for a couple months at least. each time one dies, reroll, join back in the team. not sure how far the longest survivors got. i suspect after mid 20s and mez city everyone was screwed.

There are a few level ranges where the "different" story arcs all take on the same subject matter. They are different. In that they are different missions, with different namers, and somewhat different goals. But meatloaf is meatloaf no matter how you change the recipe. Look to zones like Striga to change the story. meatloaf again?

There are (probably?) a few players on the least populated server. Think about this. Cancelled game, rediscovered. You find Homecoming. You CHOOSE a lower population server. You STAY there. Then the game changes your server to not have what the larger population servers get? This is a stupid out of it's mind charlie sheen tiger blood type of dumb.

Oh yes. I use these elements in some of my origin backstories. With the timeline being shredded around Paragon you can justify nearly any crazy idea

Blueside is a nightmare for me when I do a completionist run. I keep a spreadsheet and notes like I am prepping for a doctoral thesis. So many contacts that are alt contacts that give same content. I get why they did it. To make it seem fresh. I just wish I could go back in time and exsanguinate them before they could write it down…

Even better than Ouro. Ouro is an alternate timeline. This would be something in your own timeline. I hope you know this will go down on your permanent record!

Because they want everyone in the world to do it with them of course. I know a few players who do hard mode challenges I am loathe to try. But the ones I set for myself I do. Other folks just want everyone to run along with them dragging the same 100 duffel bag they think they should drag. Its a mental game.
