Ski Chalet operating hours and maybe more

Isn't the candy vendor there all year too? I thought I remembered seeing him selling titles in July last year. -
page 3 [FOCUSED FEEDBACK] Fiery Melee Adjustments
merrypessimist replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
Can I chuck cremate and keep breath of fire AND combustion? I'd rather have THAT pair. EDIT: On the Tanker version. -
I don't remember anything about the Support core bonus and mastermind pets, but didn't they recently change MMs so a portion of the buffs the MM has active get applied to the pets too? Could it be from that?

Add me to the pool of people who found it decent but underwhelming. Did it as a dominator on a one star run led by a friend of mine going for the master of badge. I found the office bits okay, and the shrink ray thing was kind of funny the first time it hit me. By the time it got to the train segment I was quite sick of things. Once the toxic gas started filling the tunnels for the train nonsense, my amusement was so utterly destroyed it got taken out behind the shed and done like Old Yeller. An autohit pulse of 10% of my health every few seconds on a team with no meaningful healing? Yeah **** that noise. Since I went in blind and my friend forgot to mention there was this autohitting BS so I didn't know to bring a healing destiny or a stack of green insps the train (which was clearly intended to be "oh look how cool this is!") was a stupid, crappy slog. Echoing the others who have said it, but everyone in the TF talks way the hell too much. I don't care about their tragic backstory or their evil plans. I've seen Nemesis do this sort of crap for twenty years. Just get to the damn point.

Winter Present Winter Horde Enemies are now GM-scaled!
merrypessimist replied to mechahamham's topic in General Discussion
I only opened a few presents this morning before the sun came up. Was too tired to notice this, I guess. Thought I just got lucky with the boxes. Them being level scaled is much handier than the old way, bravo. -
It is my understanding that the ammo toggles change which of four otherwise identical powers gets "called" (executed) when you push the button. Making multi-ammo powers would thus need to create a power for each possible combination (fire/cold, cold/toxic, etc.). Speaking for myself I would prefer the powers team devoted their resources to something else.

Did you make sure to add "YOU DARE?" too? You need the "YOU DARE" to sell the Young Master impression. Otherwise you just look like a crazy person.

Wednesday (Netflix series)
merrypessimist replied to Techwright's topic in Comic, Hero & Villain Culture
So I binged the four episodes they released in this half of the season last night (8/6). Man the kid playing Pugsley got huge. He's now the third tallest of the Addams family characters, and I think Morticia only beats him out because she was in three inch heels. Puberty works, bro. I'm pretty sure they brought every survivor from the first season back, even if there's some well. Modified circumstances. I'm trying to minimize spoilers, since at least the first three episodes are quite good, even though I didn't like the plot twist in episode 4. There's a number of new characters too, and they're a bit hit or miss. I don't like the new superfan girl, as I find her character a bit flat. I don't like the music teacher either, as I find her portrayal pushy and her actress' voice grating. I do like the new villains though, even if one is an overused trope. Grandmama is rather well done, though I admit I prefer the older portrayal in the Raul Julia movies compared to the business tycoon of this iteration. I especially like how they moved away from the original TV show' portrayal, which while well performed always struck me as "Act like Granny Clampett but spooky." Staking more serious ground feels right to me. I do not like the newly expanded werewolf characters, and Enid's development kind of rubs me wrong. New Bianca is way less annoying than first season Bianca, and shows some real maturation as a character. The Addamses themselves seem pretty on point, and I like the interplay between the three generations of women in the family. Pugsley is still a moron, which is kind of sad because I remember him in the TV show being a distinctly inventive and clever boy. It still feels like they wrote him weak and stupid to make Wednesday look better by comparison in an unnecessary girl boss modification. I know it's "for the plot" but it still fells kind of weak. Overall I'm enjoying it, even if I don't like all the changes. -
Marathon and Marathon 2 are the prequels to Halo, effectively.

The answer is obviously "Is my attribute tracking entry blue? If not, then I need more recharge."

Given what drama whores most of us are, no.

Hosping is supposed to send you outside. If it's not, that's a bug. Log out and back in and auto complete it.

Every version of Hide needs a No-FX option. Full stop.

I never noticed this because I don't play that many stalkers, but I approve this statement. -
Ultimo, when he describes his actual slotting makes some choices that are shall we say... unconventional in his slotting. As I recall general consensus is this is the root of his issues.

Did any feedback matter in the threads? Or…
merrypessimist replied to Snarky's topic in General Discussion
Do you actually have numbers on how many times a given power is activated? Because I suspect that the actual number of uses of Black Hole is hovering down under a thousand for the entire sixish? year run of Homecoming. -
How much does Offensive Adaptation (Bio-Armor) hurt your defenses?
merrypessimist replied to Story Archer's topic in Scrapper
Based on my brute bio armors it's ~5% resist and I honestly never even noticed the defense one. -
I would have guessed it's from that skeevy smell in Pocket D.
-
It's one of those concessions to the requirements of being a game that player affecting powers (armors, attacks, etc.) be readily detectable. I agree that most purely mental psychic effects should probably be subtle, but then it makes it a pain to deal with illusionists and such. So embrace the pinky-purple power of City psychic power.

Some dead jackass.

Wouldn't that be the first number multiplied by ten thousand?

I still have it on disk with all the manuals and the hint book in the box somewhere.
