  1. I have a DB/SR Scrapper and it's one of my favorite toons. DB is just fine on a Scrapper.
  2. It would also be great if the "anchor after zoning while a power turns back on" time could be decreased or eliminated. I really notice it on my Rad/Rad Defender who has to wait 2 seconds for Choking Cloud to reactivate in every doorway. The whole time, being pushed sideways by everyone else coming through the door.
  3. I have a Dark Melee / Ice Armor brute and it's great fun. Can still generate plenty of fury by attacking things.
  4. It would be cool, but I think the lists would be huge. Some would be anyway. Air Burst often won't let me convert it to anything.
  5. Is it possible to change the direction characters run when "exiting" a helicopter mission? Ex: Penelope Yin, 3 helicopter missions. When the mission ends and you Exit, you (and your 7 teammates) appear at the base of the helicopter and (no matter what you do) run up the ramp towards the inside of the helicopter. All 8 people are trying to turn around and leave the helicopter but are animation-forced to run up into it before you're allowed to leave. Can that be turned around, so we run "out" of the helicopter when exiting? That would be so nice and expected-behavior when exiting a mission. I know it's going to happen so I try flying backwards out of there but it rubber-bands me back in until it's forced me all the way into the helicopter before it sets me free. If it's possible to standardize direction faced when exiting the RWZ portals into/out of the base, that would be great too. I never know which way I'm facing and need to turn to go up the stairs and out of the portal area. Other hazard zone doors, like Hollows, place you facing the exit, which is absolutely wonderful.
  6. I only have Bonfire on a blaster and I love it with the KD enhancer. They flop a few times and by then I've defeated them. I might get it on my fire/kin soon and I'll stick with the KD, I much prefer it to shooting foes all over the area after gathering them for destruction.
  7. This would make tremendous sense. This is the opposite of the purpose of Ouro. It isn't just a zone to form BAF, it's where you go to time travel. You have to flashback so you become the level of the contact and get the correct-level foes.
  8. When you go to the Aspect of the Pillar to do a mission list the window cannot be resized, which makes it a royal pain to scroll through the long lists of missions. Then when you select one, the initial contact info is typically bigger than the window, forcing more scrolling to accept the mission. If the window could be re-sizable, it would be super useful.

  9. Same here. My big hurdle, migrating from Controllers, is getting used to not having or caring about Containment, and not trying to defeat foes with the primary. On my Grav/Kin, I lay down the gravity distortion field, over and over, getting containment with double damage and a billion tics of DoT, while throwing out the single-target attacks and buffing/healing myself. On my new Earth/Earth I tried throwing out the Stone Cages over and over, but the DoT is so minuscule it's barely noticeable. Tossing Stone Prison and Fossilize slightly increments it. Thank goodness the WTF is the Respec trials. Now I have barely enough control IO sets to get +rech and maximize the control, and put all the actual damage into the secondary. Throw a hold then go pound it with stone hammers. Hurl boulders. Primary for control, secondary for damage, just like it says in the description. Now it works.
  10. Ah Ok, hadn't seen AoE shortened to AE before. Thanks! I like your summaries. I'm leveling an Earth/Earth right now and was a bit dismayed at the dismal damage, but I don't yet have most the powers in that attack chain you posted. Got the controls and I'm just picking up the attacks. Looking forward to the 30's / 40's!
  11. Just look on your Enhancements page, Show Detailed Info Here. If it has a "5% chance for X damage" that's the crit. Whether it actually happens... that's the question.
  12. I thought it was supposed to be that only Secondary powers that didn't crit: Icicles and other damage auras, Dark Consumption, etc, and that Epics and other pools were supposed to. Also: pet effects don't crit, that's why Lightning Rod doesn't crit. Just checked the Scrapper I'm logged in with now, and Arcane Bolt shows chance to crit. (5% chance for 77.85 energy damage). (yeah I know, I'm about to respec into Moonbeam.)
  13. This is super fun with my TW/Nin - sneak in > Build Momentum > Whirling Smash ==> everything gets knocked down and crits wipe out most critters. I need to slot a Stealth IO for full sneakage though.
  14. Sometimes the game doesn't exactly match Mids so I wonder what the real numbers would be. Also, how expensive/time consuming would it be to build! I consider myself lucky if I get one Shield Wall, much less multiple complete sets!
  15. Great idea, should be able to squeeze in Cross Punch before 20 to get a cone!
  16. Yep! turns out I'm confused. That's good to know, I was considering switching to a Brute so I could swap out Jab for Boxing and actually use it. I actually like Hurl Boulder on Stone Melee, it's really satisfying to use on a runner. I feel like Matthew Quigley, taking my sweet time getting ready, then watching the boulder fly through the air and follow the runner around corners until it hits. It is quite a slog with only single target attacks. Hand Clap comes in pretty early but the accuracy and recharge are so dismal it's barely useful (with a KD IO of course).
  17. Search terms are so generic I can't find if this has already been discussed: Is Super Strength's damage without Rage really low? And SS with Rage above average? Example: Compared vs Stone Melee or War Mace. I'm leveling up a Bio/SS Tank (lvl 26 so far) and don't have much global recharge. I click Rage when fighting a big boss and run in Defensive almost all the time, unless team buffs are plentiful. Perspective being what it is, it's difficult to tell if I'm low damage due to un-Rage, not having fully slotted attacks, or Defensive -Dam debuff, or all combined, and if it'll get better.
  18. Have you actually built and played this in the game or only in Mids?
  19. Just did it on my SR/Electric Tank without problem. My Rad/Rad Brute isn't high enough yet. It's too squishy during leveling and I get frustrated and switch back to my Defense toons.
  20. I use 1 "powexecname sprint" 2 "powexecname beast run$$powexecname ninja run$$powexecname combat jumping" This way R always makes me run/autorun, even when flying. 1 turns on Sprint, and 2 alternates between the prestige run and CJ.
  21. SR also has +recharge, +speed, massive resistance to slows, and I know I'm forgetting something else. At softcap fighting Carnies, Malta, Knives of Artemis, and most Psi attacks, you'll barely notice they are any different than any other foe and run across a giant pile of Caltrops like they aren't even there. Rarely get hit with an end-drain. But if you do, and you kept Elude, Elude is like hitting yourself with Speed Boost, Accelerate Metabolism, and two big purples all at once topped with a double backflip. And that's my big hang-up these days too. I was primarily a Scrapper on live, then gave Tanks a try and just love being an aggro magnet so I don't have to go chasing everything so I can punch it. I wish Scrappers got Taunt; Confront just isn't the same. Back on topic: I got a Battle Axe/ Energy Aura Scrapper pretty high before the visual fx of the shields really started to annoy my eyeballs. Especially that pulsing stun shield, couldn't run that at all.
  22. I hadn't noticed it before but on all my toons that Character Items text continually flashes red to white. I don't leave my email open so never noticed it before.
  23. In a similar thread a couple days ago it turns out some people really like having the inside detective for role play reasons. I'd be happy if they were interchangeable, so I could go to the outside or inside detective. And if they had cell phones.
  24. Yep, if I'm not self-inspiring I'm wasting drops! I try to use them as fast as they come so I keep getting more. I have a set of binds to use each type of insp, and to combine anything into the one I need next. So sometimes between spawns I'll hit shift+h a bunch of times to make more heals, etc. Yep, got those. I didn't know about the Shield Defense one until recently, and then quite luckily got one via recipe drop. Whenever I get a PvP drop I craft it then convert it into a +Def or +Health unique. I have three tubs in my base to store enhancements and move them between characters. I have a bunch of alts-in-progress and if I tire of one I respec, pull everything out, transfer the toon to a different server, and roll something new. I'm slowly getting a collection of purples from drops and Market Crash TFs. No ATOs (except a Stalker hide proc) or Winter sets though. The funny thing about teaming - things go so well with teammates and buffs that I get all high and mighty then go solo and faceplant. After respec my Rad/Rad Brute has about 70% resist to most and did pretty well on a Manticore set to +1 or +2. I only died once because I forgot my health bar. But then I set up binds for both heals and then I could survive through each spawn.
