I kind of do, still in flux at the moment. The bio could go down similar two paths. I haven't decided yet.

A little more context on why I think this is a good combo. It solves mostly solves the problems I have been running into in PUGs and Hard mode. Aggro control, buffing, healing, and debuff. I can patch holes into any team.

Yep, happens quite often to me.

First Illusion controller in a long time. Not sure about slotting, but it worked well on the beta server. I have perma PA, but I bet the fine folks here could come up with better.

A way to make acquiring day jobs slightly less tedious
KaizenSoze replied to KaizenSoze's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Yes, but I what I am suggesting it the time need to be logged out for day job shrink for each day job you acquire. -
I know badging is an voluntary activity, but one of the most tedious tasks is day jobs. Most days jobs bonuses are not useful, so they are just acquired for badges. My suggestion, for each day job you acquired, it's take X% less time for the next day job. This way there is a feeling of progression and increasing momentum.

It's all good. A lot of folks have had the experience of feeling useless on teams.
-
What I do is that I always put my three active incarnate powers, Judgement, Destiny, Hybrid, in a row. Tray 2, slots 6,7,8. Then I make three binds: /bind z powexec_tray 6 2 /bind x powexec_tray 7 2 /bind c powexec_tray 8 2 That way I know if I hit z, a Judgement will fire, x Destiny, c Hybrid. Regardless of what Incarnate is active on all my toons. If you swap incarnates, you still have to drag the active incarnate to the appropriate slot.

There are certain common CoX game "modes" where players often feel useless. It's a pretty common complaint, it comes up at least once a month. Speed runs, especially if you are unfamiliar or not set up for speeding. No stealth, Master minds where their pets are useless till the final battle, etc... PI Radio missions if there are a lot of 50+s on the team Personally, I try and minimize the number of speed runs, because I don't enjoy them. Though, sometimes I just want the WST merits. Lower level TFs can actually be more fun than level 50s, because there aren't several Judgement decimating spawns regularly. Yes, that's a bit of an exaggeration, but still a kernel of truth. As I said in another thread recently. I just really enjoy the combat mechanics, speeding is the opposite of that. If you're going to run speed TFs, don't expect to feel needed. Unless, you are trying to break a speed record, which is a very different activity, that requires great team work and often specialized toons. You'll feel more needed at lower levels. Lower level PUGs often need 1-2 skilled built out players to smooth things out. Even at 50, if you are carrying a team of non 50s in PI radios. You will definitely feel needed. If you want to really feel needed, there is always hard mode. ITF or Aeon.

I Don't Normally Play Electric-Type Characters...
KaizenSoze replied to Arnabas's topic in General Discussion
You have maxed out the number of static stacks. Each stacks allows Tesla cage to jump from one mob to another. But the range on Tesla Cage jumping is not large, so you'll rarely hit more than 3 mobs. Unless they are being grouped well. -
Yes! Example: /bind z powexec_tray 6 2 6 is the slot number, 2 is the tray number. I have these kinds for my three actively used incarnates. So, I can just swap out the powers in the slots as needed.

A couple of months ago I started only accepting requests for ITFs from within Cimerora. Too many times have players joined the team only for me to realize after several mins that the player doesn't have access to Cimerora. Then watching them fumble around trying to remember how or not follow instructions provided. Wasting more of the teams time. Nobody is perfect, but take 10 seconds and check your LFG tab to see if you access to the ITF.
-
I didn't check specifically, but I guess only one or two of us were running tactics. It got better once players realized what was going on. I think folks started using their -defense powers more.
-
I have heard a couple of instances of ITF hard modes going badly because very few players had tactics. The high mob defense in ITF hard mode is causing a lot of missing. I even had a 2 star where people were suffering, even though I had tactics.
-
So, I am one of those weirdos who almost always takes leadership:tactics on all builds regardless of AT. Because I absolutely hate two things, missing and getting blinded. I even have a Psi melee/Ninja Scrapper which I love which has tactics and focused accuracy. This means I hit through pretty much any debuff, 2-3 death mages on you, no problem, Carnies debuffed you, no problem. She is going to hit unless the mob is MOG'ed or invulnerable. Ninjitsu has an endurance heal power which allows me to handle the end drain. I take Barrier instead of Ageless because of that. Having said all that. I didn't know that a lot of folks didn't take tactics at least. ITF hard mode has really brought this out.

That is a nice trick using league to deal with alignment issues. I'll have to remember that.

Tele Widow - More fun than a barrel of Rikti monkeys*
KaizenSoze replied to KaizenSoze's topic in Arachnos Soldier & Widow
VEAT have high accuracy due having their own version of VEAT:tactics and set pieces. Specially, the Night Widow took build up to make darn sure Fold Space would land. Ball lighting and Electric fences are proc'ed out for damage. My Night Widow didn't need more set bonus, she needed more AOE damage. Banes have venom and VEAT:tactics which provides -defense and accuracy. Fold space rare misses, unless of course they are +3 bosses, which are pretty much immune to teleportation. -
ITF 4 STAR -- OVER 100 Deaths, the dark side of 4 Star ITF.
KaizenSoze replied to Voltak's topic in General Discussion
As Nemu mentioned above any well played toon is useful. For hardmore, just bring a toon you are good at playing. These days I don't make specific toons for specific TFs. It might make a different build on the same toon. But I like the challenge of adapting a toon to a specific environment. -
ITF 4 STAR -- OVER 100 Deaths, the dark side of 4 Star ITF.
KaizenSoze replied to Voltak's topic in General Discussion
Yes, this often happens on mission 3 of the ITF. The tanks get aggro capped, strays start chasing the squishies. A simple trick is to run/jump to the other side of the tanks, which forces the mobs to run right by the tanks. This often gets the mobs off me. -
I run a lot of PUGs. Please, keep in mind that team leads might be getting a swarm of IMs, which are rapidly scrolling up the screen. Things get missed, people skipped over, etc... There are a few courtesies I would like players to extend to team leaders. Notice, I said courtesies, not requirements. First, please take 5 seconds and type out a simple invite request like "Any room?", "I would like to join", "Do you have room?", etc... For instance, when I am asking for an invite. I always say, "Good day. Any room?" Currently, I am getting more any "inv", "ready", and my favorite to today "X". That's it, just "X". Second, if you're going to alt, then give the alt name. Sometimes all I get it "swapping", then nothing. Please, if you're swapping, at least give a partial name of the alt. Third, same with LFG, take 5 seconds and type out that you're going to LFG to the zone. I will always save a spot in that case. Fourth, if the team is nearly full. Please, make your way to the zone. I often have to say, "We'll start when everyone zones." Because someone is still out of zone when the team is full, because they are refreshing the exp buffs, training, or crafting. At least say what you are doing.

What is the Most Fun Strike/Task Force? (Late 2022 Edition)
KaizenSoze replied to Astralock's topic in General Discussion
At least, but number of runs lead. Yin is my clear favorite, not too punishing if you have a weak team. Fun to run at high difficultly. Definitely, my favorite to run as a kill most. -
Minor bug: Maria Jenkins Shrouded mission exit does not work
KaizenSoze replied to KaizenSoze's topic in Bug Reports
I also have seen the same random issue with Khan. That particular mission has consistent with three different characters. Hopefully, it will provide a clue to solving the issue generally. -
Minor bug: Maria Jenkins Shrouded mission exit does not work
KaizenSoze replied to KaizenSoze's topic in Bug Reports
I tested it again. No amount of jumping inside or outside to inside will trigger the exit. Comparing this to the Hydra Dimension map. All you have to do is walk into the box and you exit. No jumping required. -
I was working towards my Portal Jockey accolade and ran the mission "Take down Nightstar" for the Shrouded badge. The mission exit cube does not work. You can stand in for 10 or more seconds and you won't exit. Happens on multiple character. Not sure if the other versions of this mission have the same issue. My guess is it's a map issue.

Haha. I have one of the most popular TA/DP builds in the defender forum. Haha.
