It's possible they were tagged incorrectly and have been fixed. City of data is showing the new values I believe. As for the melee attacks, they were probably smash/neg/melee before and are now just neg/melee. They don't even check smash def at all. -

Yes, you're correct multiple Council vamp attacks do -tohit. Gloom, Life drain, and several melee attacks. All of which are probably hitting more often. Side note, since you have a electric blaster. I find it useful to really lean into the end drain. Check out Clarion Radial, it buffs end drain nicely. -

It's all good. Let's talk specifics. Council: Council Vamps use Dominate which only check Psionic defense. It's always been that way. You're right though, you are probably get hit more with -toHit negative energy attacks. I have always been obsessive about accuracy, so I probably didn't notice any issue. Arachnos: I have touched on that. Malta: Yes, I total see how those bosses got nastier! Gunslinger powers link. I see that Explosive TIp, Incendiary Round, and Liquid Nitrogen Round are using non s/l defense. Calling @Cobalt Arachne One of the Malta bosses, who was no walkover before, might have gotten too nice a buff from this change. -

Somebody cannot take a joke. I have repeatedly mentioned Toxic Tarantula as an issue. Fortunata Mistresses are always an issue. I looked over their attacks, I don't even think their attacks even got changed. What specific attacks do you think are the difference? By the way blaster, Elec/Ice, I used the most is soft capped only in Energy and almost range. 48% Energy 43% Ranged 34% s/l. -

You'll be fine with your existing builds. Already in this thread folks have tested their existing s/l soft capped builds w/o any changes and reporting that things are fine. Maybe a bit harder, nothing major. It is a sub-subset of attacks that got modified. Usually, at worst a few mobs in a spawn will have any of the modified attacks. And it will only usually be one attack. Ice thorn caster's ice sword for example. Honestly, at this point I think the aggro changes will have a way bigger impact than these changes. One exception would be Lord Recluse in MLTF. He is quite a bit nastier, because of his toxic attacks. Nasty enough that the devs made adjustments. Please, if you find a mob group that is ripping your existing builds apart. Then post the details here. Unless you can find an entire spawn of level 54 Ice Thorn casters and try melee them with a s/l capped blaster. It's not turning out to be a huge change. -

It's a possibility, I hope folks will start crafting and converting more on their regular characters. If you're playing regularly, you get quite a few uncommons that can be converted into more interesting pieces. -

My guess, just a guess, is that this is prevent solo'er using non-notifying confuses to cheese their way through the TFs. There are multiple videos of folks abusing non-notifying confuse to get the EB and AVs to do all the dirty work. Even if it takes 20 mins of continuous re-casting of confuse. I think the devs are going to clamp down on that. Probably the same reason Symphony control's confuse does damage. Still, two casts of Domination Confuse will overwhelming that protection. At least, until the mobs fire, Shout of Command, which itself gives mag 10 confuse resistance in an 30 AOE, but for only 15 seconds. Shout of Command has always been in the ITF. The ITF in general has always been hard on CC ATs. Note, though the mobs are very weak to slows.

Since, this set is cone based a nice trick is to use combat teleport. Fire cones, combat tp into the spawn to fire PBAOEs or melee. Then combat tp back to a good location to fire cones again. Example macro: /bind lshift+s powexec_location back:35 combat teleport -

Also, I find the pet stupidly aggressive. You peep around a corner to confuse a boss, the pet charges around the corner to fire it's attack which aggros the spawn. Does not happen all the time, but often enough. -

So, I started a Yin TF. Skipped to the third mission which is full of Council and watched the combat log. At most two mobs out of each spawn were firing Cryo and Incendiary Rounds. It is a particular mob type that has both powers. https://cod.uberguy.net./html/powerset.html?pset=council.counciladvrifle Then I ran the same test with my Ice/Ice tanker at 2x8 on Yin. Stood in the middle of two groups. It was fine, my hp was slowly dropping, I figure they would have killed me in 2-3 mins if I did nothing. You should copy over your Ice tanker and test. I think you'll find the aggro changes more impactful than attack type. By all means, bring up specific attacks you are worried about. They can be tested. -

Not as much as you think. It's a small percentage of attacks got changed. Also, typed armor sets got some toxic/psi defense. There a separate thread on that. Testing has shown it not to be a big change. -

I am seeing one bit of weirdness with placate on my Night Widow. The placated mobs are very quickly, 2-3 seconds, sprinting back to their spawn points. It's a bit annoying if I am trying to take out a key mob and the rest are sprinting away. Pretty much have to placate and AOE immediately to avoid them leaving. Not a 100% of the time, but quite often. -

I did test solo with my blaster the first mission of Yin at 0x8 I think. It was fine. I tried to soloing Sutter, but fighting IDF even at 0 or 1 w/o clarion is painful even before the changes. Below level 20 folks barely have any defense, unless they are getting buffed. -

Yes, it's not a big change. I had Fire/Rad corruptors soloing at 4x8 to test the Radiation Emission cast time change. Well built squishy will be just fine. I personally tested Circle Of Thorns, Banished Parthenon, Talons of Vengeance, Council, Carnies, some others I forget. I was able to solo with at least 4 ATs at 4x8, just like before the changes. Only one build was a tank, an ice tank at that. Someone else tested Arachnos and found that Lord Recluse had become rather nasty, so he was adjusted and some toxic and psi defense was added to multiple armor sets. Also, Arachnos Toxic spider bosses are now up to the level of the other Arachnos bosses. Now, it's possible we volunteer testers missed an uncommon group that got massively buffed. Like, The Awakened, now that I think about it. If anyone stumbles across a group that is now hitting way harder. Post here, the devs will adjust if needed. Testing is the solution to all concerns brought up in this topic. -
