the mauler
In actual gameplay how much difference does frankenslotting procs in blasting powers actually make? (are there numbers from the game showing a significant difference) Mids shows them at a 50% chance to proc. Is it worth slotting procs at the expense of getting, say defense? from slotting the 5th or 6th slots from set bonuses? Thanks for any responses. Radiaria
They do, especially in ST powers. An excellent "proc monkey" is Dominate. That power can get 5 extremely good procs and do 400-500 damage mostly from procs and significantly improve a controller/dominator's ST chain or even those with access to a psychic pool to get that. This question is highly dependent on the build. Sometimes the procs far outweigh the benefits of getting a 4 or 5 set bonus, sometimes they do not. It depends on what you're sacrificing and gaining. There's lots of proc information out there, @Booper has spoken at length regarding proc information if you're curious :)
Sovera
It adds burst in actual gameplay. Throw a blast and instead of doing 100 damage it suddenly does 250 (100 from the blast, then two procs go off usually at 70 damage a piece). In pylon terms changing from 'normal' slotting to triple procs on my Sentinel shaved two minutes. That's a lot of extra damage. - Simple guide for newcomers. - Money making included among other things. - Tanker Fire Armor: the Turtle, the Allrounder, the Dragon, and compilation of Fire Armor builds. - Tanker Stone Armor: beginner friendly (near) immortal Tanker for leveling/end-game and Stone Armor framework. - Brute Rad/Stone and compilation of Brute Stone Armor builds. I'd suggest you go take a look at this topic. Since Corruptors are reverse-Defenders, you'll be able to apply all of that information. The TL;DR of it is, yes, Procs are worth it for Corrs/Defenders as it significantly upscales their damage potential. 1 Pylon Test Run Submission Proc Monsters (Controller Edition) Proc Monsters (Defender Edition) Pylon Test Run Results Proc Monsters (Tanker Edition) "Mad King Special" "Ceterum autem censeo Iram esse delendam" Mad King Special - Force Edition (NEW!)
