Cannot Find St Martial Mission Entrance

OldestOne

Recommended Posts

Maybe someone can help me with some advice. I have a mission in St Martial up the north east side of the neighborhood but I can't find the mission entrance.

When I get to the way point I can see it a 50ft or so below me.

I recall during Live there were underground tunnels somewhere in this zone but I can't find the entrance to them for the life of me. Could someone help me figure out where I need to go to find my mission?

Thanks for any help

Not sure exactly the point you're talking about but you could try using the mission transporter power to get there.  If you don't have it, or don't have the money for it I can help you out if you let me know your global name here or via email ingame.  @Skunk

Do you mean NE side of St. Martial or one of the neighborhoods? I am unaware of any underground passages in 'The Flop' neighborhood which is the most NE neighborhood in St. Martial.

Here's St. Martial, and there are some underground roadways and some passages in a couple of the other neighborhoods though.

Do you have a screenshot of the area or the map?

Dislike certain sounds? Silence/Modify specific sounds. Looking for modified whole powerset sfx?

I recall having an issue with a mission door in the downtown area with the casinos.  I believe a mission door got bugged because of the addition of the zone event in that neighborhood, so the mission marker points you into a building, but then the shows that you are at the wrong level - but there is no way to get to where the mission marker is pointing.

The solution for me when this occurred was to head to the neighboring buildings & click on doors until I found one that opened & I magically entered the mission.  IIRC, the mission door ended up being across the street & down the road a bit from where the mission marker was pointing on the mini-map.

There's a building that has a lobby you can enter on the side of the building facing away from the street, but the doors facing the street are mission doors. I found it by getting fed up, hitting up the p2w vendor to buy the mission teleporter, using it, and then walking out of the lobby. The marker doesn't point to the door in the back of the building, and the marker appears below the building.

This was the correct answer, thank you!

Oddly enough, I just had the same problem myself today.  I followed my own advice & found the mission door in the lobby area of another building.  The mission marker indicates that the mission door is underground, but the building lobby that I entered wasn't that far down.  Apparently the lobby room with the mission door is located underground from the ground level of the building.  Weird.

IIRC the 'stores'  are (generally) located below the lowest 'floors' of zone maps. It would make sense that lobbies and such follow that design.

I haven't tried this since Live, but it used to be possible to TP Foe Mobs into certain stores because the range wasn't so great.

I don't know if anyone has looked into the map assets. I think the Skyway City 'hole' was fixed on Live (falling, falling, falling) but I wonder if the Red Zones ever got touched up. From memory: Port Oakes buildings used to extend deep below the ground (wasting graphical resources). I know there is still a minor non-intersecting element on the North Shore of CapAu.

Faultline is the same way. If you compare Echo of Faultline to the current Faultline, there isn't much difference to the layout. They removed the buildings at the bottom of the canyon and topped it off with water but the canyon walls are all still there. I found this out when I found a hole in the map, through one of the undamaged buildings no less. Below the map where you cannot see, there are canyon walls extending down almost as far as the war walls extend up. That why the zone was always so laggy.

Pretty sure all the lobbies are below the zone's ground level. I know hospitals are, and there are multiple floors to the rez ER rooms, found this out during the same exploration.

There is one mission entrance on Port Oakes from a contact that has a door marker that is 200 ft below the Arachnos building. I used to have it memorized. 5 years ago lol. I think it is entered through one of the doors inside by the war map.  How do I get a memory upgrade again?

Definitely keep in mind that building "insides" are actually below them on the map.

However sometimes markers just glitch. There was someone on help a few months ago who couldn't find his mission door in Mercy Island. Finally I offered to come help him look so he invited me to the team. I found the door immediately - he was being shown a broke marker almost a block away from the actual mission door.

See me on Excelsior as Eridanus - Whisperkill - Kid Physics - Ranger Wilde - The Hometown Scrapper - Firewatch - and more!

I don't know if it is the same mission as the OP's or not, but Jezebel Jones' first mission "Investigate the Disappearances" in the Missing Maidens story arc is having the same issue for me. The mission door is displaying as underground somewhere just south of the "Family Raid" event, and I am having trouble locating it.

I will use the tips on rooftop entrances and building doors to see if I can access it (or, failing that, the mission teleporter). Thanks, guys!

Okay, here are specific directions. Start at the southeast corner of the AE building in St Martial. Head east up some wide stairs to a road. Keep heading east on the road. You will see a gargoyle on the right side of the road. Pass it and go to the 2nd roadside gargoyle. From that Gargoyle look south. There is a flat roof of a building, at the same level as the road your on. On that roof is an elevator which will take you took a dirty lobby. At this point the mission marker will actually be pointing to one of the doors in the lobby. Happy hunting! And your welcome.

Pretty sure you can also just drop between the elevated portion of the road and the building and enter the back door also. That's the same door I used the mission transporter to get to.
