Felix Decat
Alright, I can live with the fact of losing money when I buy an enhancement, find out I've already got it and sell it back for a loss. That's life. But when I boost an enhancement and decide at some point I don't need it, I lose all 5 boosters which cost roughly 7,500,000. That's a hell of a lot of inf. to lose in one fell swoop. Can the dev's put a re-sell/sell on price on them.
THEDarkTyger
So....you got use out of the enhancement. Decide later you're done with it...and expect to be able to recoup all the money you spent on it as if the use you got out of it isn't of any value to you? Felix Decat
Not all the inf but not none of it either. I can use an enhancement till its black and blue then I can sell it on for a reasonable loss, so why not for a booster too, lose a little not the whole shebang. Snarky
I mostly play below 50. My one maxed out i/o’d 50 is a ss/invul build by Hyperstrike. It uses no boosted enhancers. A LOT of expensive attuned enhancers. Many running 10-20 mil apiece. It does not need boosted. The build is sick maybe they could put in a switch to completey unboost an enhancer? Would that solve the issue?

That would be awesome but then the user doesn't lose so it would have to have a charge attached to it. Click here to unboost for a mere 100,000 inf
Snarky
Well you still lose the resources you boosted it with. I would say simpler is better. Just unboost, are you sure, and done Edited December 28, 2019 by Snarky

Nah dude, your missing the point. Seven and a half big ones, gone down the swanee. And thats only one enhancement, what if you had 4 of the blighters. Holey Moley thats a whole Superior Might of the Tanker gone, never to be seen again. 🤯
RCU7115
7.5 big ones is nothing on an enhancement. I remember on live when the Glad 3%defense went for more than a billion which was higher than the influence cap at the time. 3
Sakai
Question. If you unslot an IO or SetIO that has been boosted does it lose its boost? Can't you just throw it into another hero and off you go?

They never lose the catalyst/superior standing.

You can definitely re-use the boosted Enh in a respec but not sure it can be used by another toon (same account), and definitely can't be used by another account. Good to know. I will test the whole use it on another character thing when I get home and let you know.
Sovera
Throw it into your SG bank so another character can use it if they ever need it? 1 - Simple guide for newcomers. - Money making included among other things. - Tanker Fire Armor: the Turtle, the Allrounder, the Dragon, and compilation of Fire Armor builds. - Tanker Stone Armor: beginner friendly (near) immortal Tanker for leveling/end-game and Stone Armor framework. - Brute Rad/Stone and compilation of Brute Stone Armor builds. It keeps its boost or attunement, and you can definitely use it in a respec or email it to yourself and use it on a different character (I've done it several times). I believe you can mail it to a different account if you're so inclined as I don't believe any enhancements are account-locked, but I haven't confirmed that myself. Incorrect. I have picked up boosted IOs from other SG mates that are stored in our base bins. The only time that I have seen boosts lost are when they are moved to Wentworths. 1 Playing CoX is it’s own reward
Call Me Awesome
I can't see boosting anything other than level 50 common IO's and even then only to save a slot. 2 level 50 +5 IO's are almost equal to 3 standard ones. If you don't need the 50 +5 IO after a respec then toss it into base storage for someone else. You spent the money on it and don't want it anymore; well stuff happens. Most of my final builds end up in the $500,000 and up range so one 50 +5 common IO is a rounding error. Toss it in storage and it's there for the next alt or another SG mate.
