Small Onez Posted October 27, 2021 Posted October 27, 2021 Hi everybody. I got an Electrical Blast / Electricity Manipulation Blaster and I can't seem to find a good build for it. Anyone knows a good build that can do missions/TFs and perhaps soloing AV's?

Electric's thing is end drain / -recovery, which tends to be more significant on a defender or corrupter. Not going to say it can't be done, but you'll probably end up finding yoruself working the poison dagger temp power from P2W into your attack for the -regen, if that's going to be a focus for you. Fortunately they're cheap. I slotted my Elec/Temp Blaster for ranged defense and just ignored the secondary effects and any non ranged attacks. Not as much flat out effective as a fie fire Blaster but out damages Sentinels with better damage mitigation. All ranged attacks including Tier 9 nuke and softcapped ranged defense is hilarious. Many of the sets that give ranged defense also give global recharge and/or accuracy. Just sweetens everything up 1
SeraphimKensai Posted October 27, 2021 Posted October 27, 2021 This should probably be moved to the blaster subforum. That said elec/elec was my first toon that made it to lvl 14. Way back then in the CoH Beta the struggle was real. Now a days it's a lot easier to increase your survivability and manage endurance. You can even use the new endmod IO sets that also do damage to slot for damage and end mod. That said for soloing an AV, you can if you build for survivability, sap your target, have degenerative -hp, and envenomed daggers, you shouldn't have much issue on even con.

This build has no problem taking alpha's in groups, and after alpha, they have no end to attack again. You can run any TF and feel powerful with having so many AoE's at low levels. I can see the benefit of Elec/Elec to basically go PS->BL or PS->SC or even PS->TB so that you've end-drained everything and get SHOCKED procs on the attacks right away, though I wonder if you can get there just with Elec/ primary using SC. I suppose if you have Power Sink you can just slot SC for proc-damage and -RES procs, given its faster anim now. You get a lot of AOE/PBAOE with SC-BL and Dynamo running and TB. I'd be curious to see how people come up with builds. I posted my Elec/Nin with SC back in the rotation and it's fun, definitely feels more powerful with the changes including VS and SC. Wish the Shocked procs were stronger though.

Wish the Shocked procs were stronger though. Well Blaster don't use Tesla Cage as part of dmg rotation as Sentinels would do it and usually it was one of the powers a Blaster could skip. From a dmg point of view, if you proc the power out on the blaster side, it's not that bad and you chain jumps doing way more dmg then the Sentinel version. However I found the power redundant for a Blaster thanks to the higher target cap 16 vs 10 on the aoes. So you really don't need it here. For a Sentinel the extra dmg from the chains is juicy and will just add some extra dmg to a attack chain. DarknessEternal Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 Nothing has really changed. The things that can be endurance drained die without Shock damage. The other things that would benefit from Shock damage can't have their endurance drained.
