XD229 Posted March 21 Posted March 21 First of all, I'd like to say thanks for your hard work maintaining this essential tool. I am curious if previous versions of the maps are available anywhere? In addition to time I spend on HC, I also mess around on a personal server running i25p2 and was hoping the maps for that version are still available somewhere. Thanks in advance!

You can try the previous vidiotmap thread at this link. It contains everything through i25 as far as I know. I didn't start maintaining vidiotmaps until i27p1 and I have not maintained a proper archive of older map versions during the time that I have worked on the project. Which isn't to say that I might not be able to find some older versions of maps (back to i27p1) kicking around, but if I did it would be out of luck rather than from a concerted effort to retain copies of older maps. And thanks for the kind words! 1 Popmenus > Badge List | Optimal Paths | Conversion Possibilities | Emotes Wiki Pages > Costume Color Schemes | Set Bonus Comparison Tables Maps > Vidiotmaps | Optimal Paths | Halloween GM Maps | Winter Gift Maps | Offline Map Viewer Sounds > Banshee Sonic Attack Datasets > Recipe Salvage Components | Badge Name & Settitle ID | Exploration Badge & History Plaque Coordinates

AboveTheChemist Posted June 3 Author Posted June 3 (edited) If anyone wants a peek at how the sausage is made, here's the in-progress Kallisti map for the next update: Spoiler You'll notice most of the badge/plaque markers are checkerboards, which is how I fine tune their locations to be as accurate as I can get them. Disregard the vertical red lines, those are the tracks I fly when surveying the zone to create the critter annotation. Speaking of which, I have an automated process that helps generate the critter annotation but an important link in that chain may not be available to me for this update. As a result, I may have to do part of the annotation via a slower method. Depending on when the page releases, I may need to either delay the map a bit, or release a non-annotated version first so that you'll have at least a partial map while I complete the annotation. EDIT: And based on the latest patch notes, it looks like I have a few new day job markers to locate. Edited June 3 by AboveTheChemist swapped bmp for png that would actually display 3 6 1 Popmenus > Badge List | Optimal Paths | Conversion Possibilities | Emotes Wiki Pages > Costume Color Schemes | Set Bonus Comparison Tables Maps > Vidiotmaps | Optimal Paths | Halloween GM Maps | Winter Gift Maps | Offline Map Viewer Sounds > Banshee Sonic Attack Datasets > Recipe Salvage Components | Badge Name & Settitle ID | Exploration Badge & History Plaque Coordinates
AboveTheChemist Posted Tuesday at 01:09 AM Author Posted Tuesday at 01:09 AM (edited) I've updated both the City Mod Installer installation and the manual installation files in the top post to include the relevant new i28p2 content in Kallisti Wharf, a full overhaul of Crey's Folly, as well as mostly minor text changes (for consistency) to fourteen other maps. Please refer to the full changelog in the top post for more details. Regarding the Kallisti Wharf map, I have not had a chance to complete the critter notation for that map, so the critter notation will be noticeably absent. Including the critter notation would have significantly delayed the release of the map, and I thought it preferable to release it sooner without the critter notation than to delay the update. I will include the critter notation in a future update. There are critters from many factions, old and new alike, and in general you'll find critters closer to level 40 at the north end of the map, and critters closer to level 50 at the south end of the map. If anyone finds anything in error on any of the maps, please let me know. EDIT: My optimal paths map mod is now updated as well. FupDup Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago (edited) I downloaded the update in the mod installer version but in-game I don't see any of the new KW exploration or plaque badges (it says it was published on June 23rd). I also tried the manual download and stuffed it in the HC mods folder, still shows up the same as the above. Edited 18 hours ago by FupDup .

Bionic_Flea Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Also, make sure you log all the way out of the game and then restart from the launcher. I have forgotten to do that several times. The new maps don't load unless you do a full restart. 1

The client needs to be exited and restarted to see any changes. Remember! Let's be careful out there!
