Edit: Runs checkout, grey icon in question is Kheldian's Grace, it applies a buff on you the same way Scrapper's Strikes does.

I think that time AA posted is fake, would love to see a video.

 

First run, no fotg, doesn't play pb to my knowledge, very low global recharge and no ffb. Even with geas and recluse I'm not seeing it.

 

We know the upper limits of changeling, and someone who doesn't play kheld running a bad build breaking the record (24s) on the first try, even with cheese, is extremely sus.

 

Who's to say you didn't beta blast the pylon when you got the time you wanted? I could do that right now and nobody could definitively prove that I did it.

I've never actually managed to knock down a pylon solo.  Nor have I ever been able to take down an archvillain solo.  I do have several characters that can solo +4/8 content pretty reliably without dying most of the time.

 

I totally get the feeling of accomplishment one would get by successfully doing the first two things (this is the sole reason that I've attempted it myself.  Can I do it?  Let's find out!  The answer is no.  Ha, ha).  But I do wonder, once you have a character that has achieved that level of power, is there even any point to running +4/8 content any more?  I guess you just move up to doing all 5 star stuff at that point, and then that's the new benchmark, and the old content just becomes boring?

 

But skill-wise, I consider myself a mid-tier player, at best (and that is merely with regard to PVE content, as I don't PVP on any games that I play), so there are probably elements I'm missing here.

Look at some of the builds with the fastest times killing pylons.  They are built solely for that purpose all based on +damage, procs, -res, and recharge.  Zero defense and resistance.

 

So don't worry about it.  Your +4/*8 character is surviving AND killing.

     It's honestly cute that you're so trusting, but there's about a hundred other ways to cheat a Pylon time when the only proof required is that picture at the end if video evidence isn't part of it, including any level of assistance from another character up-to-and-including something else doing the Pylon test and you just standing close enough: then them leaving the FoV and you claiming the time as your own with that chat tab that only shows Broadcast chat.  There's not even a screenshot of the combat log (combat tab should be open during the video, and this should be the minimum standard for proof).  Nobody had blatantly tried to cheat yet so it wasn't brought up: and most of the previous winners all posted a full video.

Well . . . yeah.  No one is going to accuse you of cheating if you get a C-.  When you get A++ without showing your work, people get suspicious.  I am satisfied that AA's time is legit, but I can certainly understand the doubt on just a screenshot.

For your actual question, use whatever. OBS, shadowplay, and I guess fraps if you're a dinosaur.

If I was going to cheat a pylon, I don't think I'd leave my big damage cds off cooldown to make it as obvious as humanly possible.

 

Then again, I wouldn't have said I did it first try on an archetype I don't play with a horrible build, either.

Yeah… I did pylon testing back when it meant testing the S/T DPS *of your PvE build*. Zero interest in whatever nonsense is being done with builds like AA’s.
