Ridiculous Girl
not sure if this is supposed to be a joke, but this big slab of sweaty cimeroran walking beefcake is called Quintus Elerius, which translates to the "5th Higher", but anatomically the Quintus is the big toe, so he is known to friends and family as the Higher Big Toe. now, i am curious and i have questions... 😁 Edited October 19 by Ridiculous Girl changed something 1 4 "I'm not crazy, my reality is just different than yours" the Cheshire Cat "Ce n'est rien de mourir; c'est affreux de ne pas vivre" (It's nothing to die, it's terrible not to live) Jean Valjean "وطن المرء ليس مكان ولادته و لكنه المكان الذي تنتهي فيه كل محاولاته للهروب” (Home is not where you were born, home is where all your attempts to escape cease.) Digirium
Quintus is like an index number from a parent to a child (in this case a son, it would have been Quinta for a daughter). In this case, Elerius was the the 5th born and a son.

In this case, Elerius was the the 5th born and a son. 'Quintus' is one of the limited number of praenomen used by the Romans, 'Elerius' is his cognomen, and denotes membership in one of the known gens of the period, Eleria. If he was the fifth born, he would likely have a different praenomen, and his name would be something like "M. Elerius Quintus", or even "M. Elerius Alaricus Quintus" -- 'Marcus, of the gens Eleria, son of Alaric, the fifth'. This last would generally only be used in written records. Digirium
Different contexts i.e. actual Roman vs made up name for a game. Even in Roman usage it varied as was rightly pointed out between Ps and Cs in proper usage, it was linked to the month of birth and used as a nickname. I think it was as stated, as a reference to the order of birth to parents no matter where it was placed in the given names.
