Well they are still down 10 hours later. Is there a reason they are down? I mean it's been almost a week.

There's no current open Beta, so I suspect it's not a high priority task.  I mean, they leave it up as a courtesy, it's not something they owe us or anything.  (Plus it's Saturday fer goshsakes.)

Beta has been up for going on 2 hours now.  I'm not sure why they show down on the server status block.  But this is still "later today".

Well, outside the fact of RC's delivery, a notice about the beta servers may have been needed earlier than their post.

Just "They're down, we know, working on it, may take a bit"

 

The Open Beta server is pretty handy for a lot of things.

The server status block has shown them as down for a couple of weeks I think, but I have logged into them several times during that timeframe with no issue. I haven't tried in the past several days so they may well have actually been down recently, but don't trust the server status block as gospel.

Yea, the status isn't being updated correctly either, but they were down for a bit as well.  I think there was some work in the back end that needs further tweaking.  I know it's being worked on, but I haven't paid that much attention.
