Troo Posted April 15 Author Posted April 15 It is a clever event. I liked 'Working as Intended' being piloted by a crew of three bugs that would spawn after it failed/died. It looked like there were multiple colors of them. The easter eggs.. so many, literally. Good stuff. 2 "Homecoming is not perfect but it is still better than the alternative.. at least so far" - Unknown (Wise words Unknown!) Si vis pacem, para bellum
Snarky Posted April 15 Posted April 15 I liked continuing my project to solo every contact in the game. While the madness happened around me. I can only liken it to playing chess or reading poetry in a coffee house in a super busy downtown type area. Madness and chaos everywhere while i sit with my own thoughts and plans. 5 1
MoonSheep Posted April 15 Posted April 15 the pigeon that takes you into the air is quite fun, event does become incredibly laggy though i’d like to see the enemies have higher damage and accuracy so that events are more lively 1 If you're not dying you're not living
Captain Fabulous Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Other than the lag I think it's a really fun event. There are a number of misconceptions about various mechanics that I think would be helpful if the devs cleared up one way or the other (double XP, AoE stealth, team/league composition and XP, etc). But other than that I wouldn't change much. Maybe make the GM not so nasty and easier to defeat, but even as-is it's pretty enjoyable when it's not a slide show.
TheMoneyMaker Posted April 15 Posted April 15 We will miss Mapserver tonight; we will miss his sword. 1 1 COH Music: Origins & Archtypes, Heroes & Villains, Croatoa
Uun Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Overstayed its welcome. Should have lasted a week at most. Became a farm substitute with tons of players following the event from zone to zone to power level. It became near impossible to target unless you were doing it through a pet or henchman. Many zones were ground to a standstill (especially PI and Talos), even away from the center of combat. 3 3 1 1 Uuniverse
mistagoat Posted April 15 Posted April 15 The Lag was awful but it's a cool event in small doses. I don't like to powerlevel my toons so I avoided it with anything but 50s but I'll miss unlocking all my incarnate slots in like 30 min! SPOON!
Verfall Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Our furnace is broken, and it's currently 54 in here, so I would love it to have stayed around one more day so my computer would heat up my office. Other than that, it was ok. 1
Demobot Posted April 15 Posted April 15 I had a lot of fun! Got to hang out with cool folks and now I have 5 new 50s to tinker around with. 1 1
Game Master GM Crumpet Posted April 15 Game Master Posted April 15 I liked the league leaders. I honestly don't remember many of them as sometimes it was just one league, but the ones that spring to mind are Eepy, MGX and I'm Scared. Great league management, good communication, and generally chill with the drama that always seems to happen in these events. Special thanks to Stan IVE for excellent tanking of the GM to the various drones. 3 1

It was fun for the first while, but especially playing on a small server, almost everything became focused on it. It's been all but impossible to gather a team for any content that isn't the Mapserver Event, and I think only one MSR managed to fire over the two weeks it's been running for lack of participants. I'm happy to have things going back to normal. 2 1
arcane Posted April 15 Posted April 15 I really liked running Maria Jenkins missions and having the Portal Corps doors take 15 seconds to respond, I guess. 3
lemming Posted April 15 Posted April 15 It was a nice distraction at times and I boosted a couple characters and it was easy enough to avoid since I tended to be on more low pop servers.
battlewraith Posted April 15 Posted April 15 The first time I've ever had all the incarnate slots unlocked before slotting any of them on a character. I also made my first genuine tank and droned the big GM dweeb a couple times.
Gerswin Posted April 15 Posted April 15 In retrospect, I like the way it filtered the players joining the lower level taskforces that I ran. No one was joining synapse with an unslotted level 15 toon to hopefully get some easy levels when the even lazier MS XP was so much easier to get. I also like the MS event because it is great for testing damage in a target saturated environment. I am fairly ambivalent about the xp. I can farm a toon 1-50 just as fast if not faster than sitting in a MS league.

I ran some Posi 1 & 2s that were just smooth as butter and the Synapse I did with a team with zero support classes (brutes, blasters, sentinels and a tank) just destroyed things and had a great personality to it. Sooooo, thanks for that. 😁 Sky-Hawke: Rad/WP Brute Alts galore. So...soooo many alts. Originally Pinnacle Server, then Indomitable and now Excelsior
TheMoneyMaker Posted April 15 Posted April 15 It was nice to see Torch jumping with activity throughout the day. There's nothing going on today. 1 COH Music: Origins & Archtypes, Heroes & Villains, Croatoa
withnails Posted April 15 Posted April 15 gave me a "break" from tanking mother ship raids and had time to play other games i was putting off.

If you're sub level 50 and you have a 2xp booster, you'll get twice as much xp as if you did not have the booster at all. This was easily testable and those were the results. As for what I thought about it, put me in the "one week is enough" camp. I spent probably an hour with it. And maybe do something about the GM to either make it worth fighting (rewards) or tone down its difficulty. As is, I mostly saw tanks simply drag it to drones 1

USeanO Posted April 15 Posted April 15 I loved it! It was so much fun to level up a bunch of characters and get my old characters maxed on incarnates. It was easy to ignore when I wanted to. 2
BZRKR Posted April 15 Posted April 15 I enjoyed rolling from zone to zone stomping on stuff with my fellow players. The times I was in voice comms with my friends there was an abundance of hooting and hollering when the rubberbanding or pigeons started to come into effect. Fold Space into Fire Sword Circle or Anguishing Cry is fun and satisfying. Also, not gonna lie, it was nice to unlock Incarnate slots on characters I hadn't played as much. I'm looking forward to next year's event! 1
High_Beam Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Like others have said, it overstayed its welcome, a week max. 2 1 Girls of Nukem High - Excelsior - Tempus Fabulous, Flattery, Jennifer Chilly, Betty Beatdown, Totally Cali, Two Gun Trixie Babes of War - Excelsior - High Beam (Yay), Di Di Guns, Runeslinger, Munitions Mistress, Tideway, Hard Melody, Blue Aria Many alts and lots of fun. Thank you Name Release For letting me get my OG main back!
