Chalkarts Posted Tuesday at 02:18 PM Posted Tuesday at 02:18 PM I don't know how long ago this sort of thing has been asked but it's the kind of question I feel should be thrown out there once a year or so just to get a feel for trends. Which is your personal favorite set? I assume many of the players here have run through Multiple combinations before settling on a favorite to go long with. Who constitutes your personal favorite cadre of minions or miscreants? What makes them your favorite? Is it the aesthetic? Maybe a specific set synergy? or Perhaps a deep psychological desire to lord over that specific type of critter until it sacrifices itself in your name? Who is your army?
SeraphimKensai Posted Tuesday at 02:31 PM Posted Tuesday at 02:31 PM Honestly I really like necro, despite not carrying about zombie lore much at all, necro mm's just make great mm's. I have 4 robots, 3 necros, 2 demons, 1 thugs, and 1 ninja at this point. Maybe one day I'll finish off a beast and a merc.

I've got a beast that I really like but I just borked her base and am trying to resolve the disaster.
Warshades Posted Tuesday at 10:15 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:15 PM My top 3 favorites are Demons, Mercs, and Necro. I like to play in melee and prefer melee pets in general. I also like how well all 3 pair with marine affinity which is one of the main reasons I've started playing MMs more often.
TygerDarkstorm Posted Tuesday at 11:52 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:52 PM Geeze, how to pick my favorite MMs? lol My Demons/Storm is still quite a force to be reckoned with. My Bots/Nature is also good fun and synergizes pretty well. I have a rather massive collection of MMs, so it's hard narrowing it down. Notable mentions are any primary with /Marine because Marine feels made for MMs and pairs well with basically all of them--even Beasts, which are at the bottom, feel good with Marine. Necro is a great primary that pair well with just about anything--necro/thermal gives you zombies on fire; necro/kin gives you zoombies; necro/cold for zombie pops; necro/dark is classic; necro/sonic for wraith/banshee vibes, etc. etc. Mercs are also strong after the last MM pass and also pair well with anything and are a good choice for newer MMs since they play primarily at range. Bots can also fall in with this. Global: @Valnara1; Discord Handle: @Valnara#0620 I primarily play on Everlasting, but you may occasionally find me on Indom. 🙂 Notable Characters: Apocolyptica - Demons/Storm MM; Lurking Monster - Human-Form WS; Environmentabot - Bots/Nature MM; Miss Fade - Ill/Traps Controller; Sister Apocalypse - Beast/Dark MM; Dr. Elaina Wrath - Plant/Rad Controller (Join the House of Wrath, and spread the word of science!); Ruff Ruff Boom - AR/Devices Blaster
Meknomancer Posted Wednesday at 03:59 PM Posted Wednesday at 03:59 PM Bots/dark Mercs/time Demons/marine Necro/ff Thugs/traps Ninjas/storm Random picks i think i have every primary with every secondary except empathy and pain. I just remember having fun with those and bots/dark is still my goto as it was on live. It'd be easier to list the worst. Beasts with anything except /marine. They are almost playable with /marine.
Maelwys Posted Wednesday at 10:52 PM Posted Wednesday at 10:52 PM For me, the all-round most mechanically effective MM has to be Bots/Marine. Marine works well with any MM Primary due to Shifting Tide procs and Power of the Depths... about the only thing it's lacking is noteworthy -Regen debuffs and ST healing. Bots/ provides -600% Regen and reliable henchmen ST spot healing. (Also Whitecap, Brine and Shifting Tides more than cover for Bot's Single Target DPS issues... plus Barrier Reef + Protector Bot Bubbles + the usual culprits will hit the softcap...) 2

Oooo, with Bots having Maint Drone, does this make Shoal Rush more preferable to take over Soothing Wave? Soothing Wave is still useful for healing you and non-henchmen allies... but it's not like Shoal Rush is a bad power. If you're not taking anything else that can slot an Achilles' Heel proc (like Weaken Resolve)? Sure. 1
