Sovera Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Yes, but I keep the second row for expendable, AKA, eat all the insps that drop. The other rows are for emergencies like heals and lucks and endurance. Second row though? Lazarillo Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Yes, and then never use them so that my beautiful pattern remains in tact. Actually, though, there's a practical reason for it, too, in that by sticking an Awakening in the f5 slot, if I alt-tab to a web-browser and refresh the page there, a slip in timing doesn't end up popping an inspiration by accident. 1

My first column is always Resist Effects and the last column Resurrections. All the columns in between start out as Healing when my characters head out to the streets. I turn off a lot insp drops, but some characters still get other kinds that drop into the tray as (mostly the healing) insp drop out and give room for drops. The non-healing ones that I think that I will use in battle go to the bottom of the 2nd column. This way I always know to press F1 when I'm mez'ed. I have a macro set up to use the Healing insps so I can use them directly from my game controller. I'm not using the resurrections in battle, so they are kind of out of the way in the last column. I know if I have battle insp slotted, I can quickly set them off with F2 If someone posts a reply quoting me and I don't reply, they may be on ignore. (It seems I'm involved with so much at this point that I may not be able to easily retrieve access to all the notifications) Some players know that I have them on ignore and are likely to make posts knowing that is the case. But the fact that I have them on ignore won't stop some of them from bullying and harassing people, because some of them love to do it. There is a group that have banded together to target forum posters they don't like. They think that this behavior is acceptable. Ignore (in the forums) and /ignore (in-game) are tools to improve your gaming experience. Don't feel bad about using them.
Forager Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago I used to do it that way. But now I pop pills a handful at a time like a pro so now my columns are cocktails. And it was a devil trying to get it to work. I'm sure smarter folks who are good at pop-menus and such will have an easier time than I did. I have no end of trouble managing my custom.windows, which I use extensively. They reposition themselves at login, become open or closed without respecting their state the last time I was logged in, they jump when you touch them, they flip header tabs from top to bottom, or vice versa when being moved AND button then activate while under the mouse drag. The buttons cannot be "locked" and will drop off a window if one clicks "too long". My "best practice" advice is to keep a back-up of your custom.windows file and the, when using them, move windows slowly and deliberately, click on button slowly and deliberately, and never click without immediately releasing the click without moving the cursor. If they weren't hugely and Transformatively Useful, I would hate them with all my being. Instead, I have a dozen of them. 1
momentarygrace Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Nope. I do organize, but all revive types go in an email to myself and all large inspirations get sold on the auction with an asking price of 100 inf. Inner Inspiration is on of the first things I get from the P2P vendor when a new character exits the tutorial and I launch it whenever I have 3 empty inspiration slots so I can sell any large ones. We needs our pocket change! 🙂 1

So does anyone else do something like this? 😆 Yes, that's very much me and my bordering-on-obsessive nature. Though over time, I've learned to burn the oranges as fast as the reds and yellows. I'd put in 2 additional lavenders, stick the second aqua into email, and use the remaining 3 spaces to add 1 each to green, purple, and blue. Having such a tidy system, the holiday and anniversary random gift ones drive me crazy, as do special-condition inspirations.

Riverdusk Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I try to keep likes together but have no set order like that. Most importantly I always try to keep a few slots empty and will immediately use whatever happens to drop. I make sure to use inspirations often. So often I'm on a team and will never see a single person ever use an inspiration. So many fall victim to the 'save the potions and never use them' syndrome.
