Kill the Surgeons…

Starting to run 50 content on PUGs again, after 6 months doing solo contacts.  
 

I have been on 3? 4/8 kill most ITFs.  I seem to be the only one killing Surgeons. 
 

So… are you all. (Insert random Snarky tm pat pend comment here)… or what?

The Geneva Convention makes it a war crime to target medical personnel and I for one am not looking to face trial in The Hague so that's why I leave them be.

I ran one with you recently on one of my alts.  Nobody was singling out the surgeons because we were steamrolling everything anyways.  Going after the surgeons really only matters if the team isn’t steamrolling in the first place.  Live and let live man.

As a solo murder hobo...errr...hero (cough) I tend to target the surgeons, medics, sappers, engineers, and other such 'special' mobs first; usually with my most heavy attack to take them down as fast as possible. So yeah, I'm right there with ya Snarky...those bandage brigade sorts need removal. Just tell the PPD that their portable defibrillator exploded if they ask why they seem so wrecked. 😄

Actually mostly on a Dark Dark Corruptor.  Probably will be for another 6 months to a year.  Then, depending on mood, I might go Ice/Dark Corruptor. With a GoT White Walker inspired concept.  But I will pull from other genres as well.  I think Ice Dark Corr is the natural evolution to my playstyle.  Fully Ranged, tons of evil mechanics, great damage. But those are dreams for late 2025 probably…

 

I am on the Fire^3 Blaster with Justice Superteamers Friday night. We 5 person a KHTF last night, four Fire Blasters on team.  The first mission was so easy lol

Might be governed by the Pax Romana though which has it's own draconian codes and conduct.

Don't worry you're in the clear.  The ITF is back in time, long, long ago, before the Geneva Convention was in force. 

Unless you personally signed it as well, you should not be bound by it during the Cimorean time period.

Pax Romana couldnt really deal with people carting around nuclear warheads.

Surgeons, Sappers, and Engineers are all, if I'm on an appropriate character, primary targets of opportunity for Confuse, preferably with Power Boost active. Having the most annoying mobs switch sides and start playing for your team is endlessly risible.

Any aura power that enemies notice, especially if it's not a damage aura, is fun, because the Embalmed just go into an endless loop of acting constipated, then having their explosion interrupted and having to start over.

I usually request people with ranged attacks prioritize the surgeons, but there seems to be this overall attraction toward just hosing down the largest groups with AoEs, and ignoring those on the periphery - it's like some folks think they are being charged per power use, so can't "waste" any attacks on measly lone targets.  That being said, I have also found that if you can get the team to chat during the TF, they will tend to respond better to anything said during it - if it's dead quiet and people are just sort of in autopilot, you'll get a similarly robotic response...

If you leave the healers alone to heal the rest of a spawn, it makes it more difficult to take down the spawn, and you'll be "wasting" more attacks to counteract the healing than you would if you just whacked the healers right off.
