For testing purposes as the performance isn't that great for CoX (not why I bought it): Mods since purchase: HDD upgraded to: Samsung SSD 860 EVO 512GB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E250B/AM) (OS/App drive) Partition Schema: Mojave, Catalina, Bootcamp / Win10.1909 Optical Drive moved into external enclosure and replaced by: Samsung SSD 860 EVO 2TB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E2T0B/AM) (Time Machine / Shared Data) Upgraded from the Seagate HDD due to fear that the HDD wasn't handling the VM solution it was intended for as I've been experiencing bad read/write times (or so it felt as I don't have testing tools on the Mac for it like on PC) *Yes, I paid WAY too much, but got what I was aiming for at the time

Failing to install/run fully on Mac OS
WanderingAries replied to WanderingAries's topic in Help & Support
I'll take a look a these links soon and see what happens. For testing purposes, does anyone know how to reverse the effect of the script mentioned in the original process? IDK if it'll affect my next trial, but I'd prefer a clean process from which to refer to. -
I'm toying around with installing the game on my 2012 MBP (Mojave/Catalina) with the hopes of helping others with things like addon installation, but ran into a bit of trouble likely due to ignorance of the process. I've tried to read through the various threads and it appears that not a one is complete or fully up to date. I had started by using the guide which gave a link to download Island Rum. That seemed to go off without a hitch until I was in the terminal as per the https://brew.sh/ instructions. The next step was to type in something related to Wine, but I read later that This process is no longer valid and explains the errors I'd gotten. Now I'm back to having the game files in the Applications folder/coh as well as the apparently useless Island Rum install. So my question then is what Are the next steps for Mojave/Catalina? Once I work through the process myself I intend on taking the snapshots and making a post relating to it and then proceeding to work on my How2's for things like addons.

@The Philotic Knight, remind me later that this is the kind of thing I'd like to see added to that project as well. Maybe as a sort of expanded function.

Something like this? ;)

is there a tray lock slash command?
WanderingAries replied to Trogdor_a_Burninator's topic in Help & Support
Seriously, a lock the screen arrangement would be AWESOME. Yeah, now that I see it, I remember it being there. I just haven't been diving into the settings in a while. Someone'll find it useful though I'm sure. -
[Request] Universal Add/Remove Mods App
WanderingAries replied to WanderingAries's topic in Tools, Utilities & Downloads
That is Precisely what I was looking for. We'd rebuild the existing Mods and package them in a new standard format. These would then be stored alongside the app itself online. The concept is universal enough that any server could use or add to it. Give or take power mods that is. -
issue 26 Patch Notes for April 1st, 2020
WanderingAries replied to The Curator's topic in Patch Notes Discussion
Kinda wanna see some of this as Temp Powers... -
Before SSDs were of reasonable price, the Hybrids were a great money saving alternative, now they're kind niche. TBH, get a good sized SSD (256Gb+) for your OS/Apps/Games and a separate HDD (just keep the Kudas to save money) for your data. Don't forget a dedicated drive for backing everything up as well as an external/removable drive for the redundant backup.

Why can't I leave my base's entrance portal?
WanderingAries replied to MrSnottyPants's topic in Base Construction
Actually, it is...the floor itself is the "thing" that it's interacting with. IDK why, but it does. :/ -
Bear with me for this is a pain day... I've come up with a concept that would REALLY help the Mod community, but the only tool I have to help is the logic of the system to be created. The concept is to create a rather simple UI to allow the user to Add/Remove specific Mods at will. So many Want to use mods, but aren't sure how they work or how to safely go about adding them. On top of that, what do you do if you change your mind? Most of the mods don't have simple file lists and you end up having to wipe out the data folder to "reset" your mods. Mind you, I'd like to start with the Simple version of this, but a more advanced version would have features like the app knowing what mods are there and be able to remove specific ones by using what it knows about your chosen mod list. Installing the Add/Remove App: A single app is created with the purpose(s) as stated above The app is configured during its setup to point to the root of the Tequila folder, but has user adjustable options that will allow the tweaking of these settings later (IE: I decide to move my game install) During setup, if the data folder doesn't exist, then it creates one A folder is also created in the background for the storage of future Game Mods Game Mod Installation Folder Container: This is the folder where Mods will be housed for installation, a Source folder if you will for pre-installation Instead of the current format of individual mods (zipped and designed for standalone install), each mod will be in its on Folder and include a file that identifies where the contained files are to be installed to Unless chosen, the Mods located here will continue to exist even if the user removes the mods from the game itself to allow for reinstallation Game Mod New Requirements: Each existing mod will have to be reconfigured and installation files created and new mods should follow as stated below The folder structure could/should be relatively flat so that we don't run into a long file name type error (if this is an actual issue) \Mod 1 \Mod 1\Installation File \Mod 1\File 1 \Mod 1\File 2 \Mod 1\File 3 The installation file should have the relative paths for each of the contained files hard coded so that the main app can simply read from it and create the appropriate paths and copy the files without damaging/moving the existing pre-installation files Add/Removing a Mod: The user will have to download their desired Mods into the configured Mod folder for this to work From the main interface, the user chooses Add or Remove When Adding a Mod The app reads the folder contents and displays the available Mods to install User checks off the mods they wish to install The app then installs the chosen Mods When Removing a Mod The app uses the list of installed apps chosen in previous sessions (see Adding a Mod) The app then reads from a file that is in the specific Mods' installation folder to identify the files to delete The app then deletes Only those files listed Logic Checks Required: This section will be the hardest to accomplish as it requires knowledge of the existing mods Known conditions like the install order for Vidiot Maps and the supplemental Maps in the right sequence Honestly, it'd be better just to create a new set of maps so that the tiered installation is not required Known conflicts for things like tray icons that will likely share the same destination file names

Also, more people need real (and unique) avatars!

Actually....It's not (according to many recent discoveries of the last 10 years). The only reason it likely has been known as 666 is because people like "fun" numbers. IE: It's more fun to say "Triple 6" or simply because it's the same number multiple times. See: 777 and why it's popular. ;)

Mid's Reborn: Hero Designer
WanderingAries replied to Metalios's topic in Mids' Reborn Hero Designer's Forum
Yeah, I've noticed that Win10 defaults to 150% for some screwy reason or another. -
Hopefully this comes out the way I intend it to... First lets confirm something(s): 1) Locate the Tequila shortcut and right click on it 2) Click on the "Open file location" option 3) When the new window opens, scroll up until you get to the top of the list 4) Now take a look at the list of folders in the window, ignore the ones I've labeled, and any remaining folders SHOULD be your user folder / Global Name (you may have more than one if you have several accounts like me) 5) Leave that folder in the background for now and go back to the forums 6) At the top of the forums you need to click the "Account Center" category and choose "Game Account" 7) This will open the page where you can both Confirm your Game Account User Name as well as letting you change the password (go ahead and do that while you're here, even if it's the same as what you think it was). Note: You must be logged into the Forum account from which this was originally created. Further trouble with this should be directed to the Devs in the form of a support ticket to assist identifying what your info really is. 8) Now, to Verify that what you have been putting for your login before matches what it actually Has been, then this last picture (right above) should match the name of the folder you found in Step 4 above. If NOT, then that's the problem (unless that's what you've been putting in for some reason) and you'll need to make a ticket to sort it out. Lazy Login Trick: So assuming that you don't need to do a ticket or you've already sorted the Game Account's User Name out, then here's a neat trick to avoid things like "wait, did I fat finger that?" or "was that capitol?". Also, this assumes that you don't have more than one person who plays on the computer or you don't have another account (because then you'll have to blank out the login at the splash screen every time). 1) Bring that Tequila folder back, the one from Step 4. Right Click next to a file (not a folder!) and select "New -> Text Document" 2) Label the document "resume_info" and open the file to edt. Note: the full filename should read "resume_info.txt" as shown (no quotes!) 3) Ok, so the Game Account User Name we identified should go on the first line. Press the Enter key to go to the next line and type the password you set it to above. Save and close the file. You can close anything else you don't need at this point as well. 4) Now, whenever you launch the game it will AUTOFILL the login info for you so that all you've got to do is click the login button (Hitting Enter works I think...maybe).

Why can't I leave my base's entrance portal?
WanderingAries replied to MrSnottyPants's topic in Base Construction
Easiest solution is to raise it to the next snap point. For some reason (the whole time we've had the servers) it just does this. IDK if it's the mods they've made by unlocking everything and it's not auto-snapping correctly at first, but this seems to work Almost every time. Sometimes you need a Dev to walk in and do it. -
