IDK for sure off hand, but Escape may do what you want.

If it didn't take 2 seconds do deal with a password on this exact page, then I'd give this some clout, but beyond that, there IS an auto-login-esque cheat that's SUPER easy to do and means you just have to click the login button. Not so easy when you're sharing a computer with other CoX gamers, but still, it's easy to do.

Ideas for claiming mass Character Items from email?
WanderingAries replied to Troyusrex's topic in The Market
Not that it would help with things already in the email, but for transferring a 2nd account and a transfer alt does the trick just fine. -
[Request] Universal Add/Remove Mods App
WanderingAries replied to WanderingAries's topic in Tools, Utilities & Downloads
So I did some basic testing just now on my Mac using the files on my shared drive (shared with both MacOS installs and the Win10 install). As luck would have it, the coh folder that gets put in the Applications folder acts exactly like the root folder of the game install on Windows in that you can simply drag drop add-ons and customization files as if they were in Windows. Dropping a copy of the data folder resulted in immediate changes on a new startup of the game via IR. I also tried using Alias files/folders and that completely failed, so if you make changes in one OS' game install, then you'll have to recopy the files to the other OS' game install to see the results. So much for saving space 😕. I also learned that MacOS won't let you choose to merge files of an active Unzip action with existing ones. IE: I unpacked the original Vidiot maps into a data folder. When I unpacked the update file it created a "data 2" folder instead of offering to merge the two. I had to unpack it in another folder for it to make a plane "data" folder, then it was just a matter of drag-drop-merge. -
Also make sure you've white listed the game/folder as some AVs will block traffic as well some have reported.

Vampire the Masquerade (and Bloodlines too!)
WanderingAries replied to ArchVileTerror's topic in Video Games
Give me a good VTM LARP! But it must take place in the basement of an active goth club with appropriate mood lighting, drinks, and things to climb on (and get yelled at for :p). -
It will likely do more than fine for CoX and then some, but keep that thing cool.

Hasten: Make it Inherent, or get rid of it?

That won't stop the 100+ request threads though. -
Hasten: Make it Inherent, or get rid of it?
WanderingAries replied to Abysmalyxia's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I do and don't want this. On the one hand, yes, most my alts get it, but at the same time it's still going to be my default auto-power and Most of my builds have a hard enough time using all the powers they get already. Often I'm just picking something to finish leveling to 50 TBH. -
Allow special characters to be used on naming
WanderingAries replied to Darkneblade's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Amusing, but I don't think that matches the Teen rating we're supposed to keep here. :/ -
If you have another machine, great, but you could run it off of Bootcamp if you're up for minor tinkering.

Yeah, back before double digit Issues I'd fried a laptop likely because of the game. >.<

The IR installer from that link.

Ok, just checking. I haven't gotten back to it (life issues), but I had the same (?) issue in Catalina, but not Mojave and had simply used the files there with no custom nonsense.

Allow special characters to be used on naming
WanderingAries replied to Darkneblade's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
This would be something that likely requires a localization effort to occur first like on live(?). Even then, as mentioned above, it depends on the variable type and limitations of the underlining programming language(s) used. I'm pretty sure it's all sitting on top of C/C++ and that likely has character limitations or unforeseen side effects when using special characters. Namely, character name length restrictions. My half charged brain seems to remember that special characters would end up using something like 4:1 characters in the name, making it easier to hit the length limitation that I'm sure exists. I know that I get copy/pasting errors when creating my Bio's because I use various non-English words/names in my characters. What I've done instead is to "latinize" the words into something the system can handle. So if I'm using Cyrillic based letters, then I translate that into something more game friendly. -
Probably too late as @Mangahas already piped in, but did you start here?

Let's Make Some Profile Images for the Needy!
WanderingAries replied to ArchVileTerror's topic in Art & Multimedia
Great idea as many probably don't have something to use or (more likely) are used to having a choice in the user profile page. Maybe take a bunch of game related ones first. -
Recommend a duo combination for me and my 9 year old son

Not related to the thread, but I'd suggest you have a GM change your forum name to something more PID secure. Unless that's something the user can do? *coughs*@GM Tahquitz*coughs*- 21 replies

Correct, I think it'd be best to see it as 3 per bus max depending on the host hardware.
-
If accessible, I've always set the fan profile to On/Full on laptops at this point. Not on my MBP though as I can use MacFanControl for that on all the installed OS'.

And no matter what the vender says, You're not taking the DVI -> VGA in a happy fun way without a converter. Pretty sure you dove in my browsing history for that one. Specifically when I was deciding on which way to convert for my GTX 970, dual monitor setup (pre-purchase of said monitors). :p In my reading, I found that DP will chain 3 displays for reference, but I forget the rez maxium on that. In my testing of using VGA vs HDMI (1.4) on this 40" TV, the VGA allowed more range of resolutions, but I can't remember the clarity difference. I know I got a lot more screen space though. >.<
-
I suppose a clarification would be that the monitor(s) I referenced in my own purchase were HDMI/VGA only and DP isn't as common on laptops quite yet. Well, not without a USB-C -> DP adaptor. You "shouldn't" find VGA on modern laptops at all actually, so HDMI or USB-C are really the only options unless it comes with DP.
-
That's probably really nice to have for gaming on one display. In prep for W@H, I ended up getting a pair of these because running dual VGA wasn't going to be easy with the custom/ubber-secure environment of our company. I still wanna shoot the person who thought running a VM within another VM inside of a restricted user account was a good idea. I'm just glad I got smart and installed it on an isolated SSD for when it decides to crash/corrupt the OS.

Mostly relies on your connection choice. IE: Standard HDMI (non-4k TV) is restricted to a max of 1920x1080 where as the VGA connection will go higher. I sadly found this out when I switched, but stuck with HDMI (for now) because of the Audio pass-through. Using VGA, you have to have an AUX cable as well unless you're using standalone speakers.
