Are you running them at the same time? That 'may' (never tried / don't use internal SS method) be the issue, but TBH I use my editing app when I want to SS (never on the fly).

And most importantly CLOSE it before you do general browsing or allow system updates. I'd recommend setting your connection to metered or find a toggle method for the setting as Win10 and some apps will download in the background.

It'd be cool if this ever got beyond the vaporware status it's been in since conception. Every time I hear news about it I'm half expecting something big like a true beta, but then it's the equiv of "we just got our 3rd GFX artist..."

I've always gotten Lethal and Smash mixed in my head as (I think) they're the low tier dmg wise. IIRC, Lethal is I stabbed you and Smash is I whacked you with something physically.

I'm not sure the destination IP, but using the Ping function would help people see that this is so.

Well I can't think of a one of mine that works when importing from the game and seems like most of my Mids builds must be "old" now as they'll all get the error about the inherent powers when loading. I haven't had a Need to load most of them in a while though (as I've been Consoling for a while).

And yes, most people don't realize WHY they call it the World Wide Web. The reason some sites go down isn't their own servers so much as a cluster of nodes (routing internet traffic) having issues along the path of travel for the data between you and them.

Normally I'd say avoid VPNs for online gaming, but the game doesn't need all that much bandwidth.

If it's "fixing" within 30-120 seconds, that's a reboot. I bought this mostly because it's a 24x8 where as the one they give is like a 16x4. Their modem wasn't using all the streams, but mine Does now and NO restarting. I'd made them replace everything short of the line under the home before that point. They even replaced boxes along the mains and we were getting dropped.

I'm gonna guess that you're using chrome or firefox as your daily browser.

The folder that has the tequila files...if you look at the shortcut for tequila, then it will show you the path for the folder.

While not anywhere near a "must do now", I'd love to see this go away as it's inaccurate for those who aren't new (well, in our minds since we started ages ago).

^^^This^^^ Your problem is a known issue where the AV software is blocking the file transfer. To be safe, make sure the whole installation folder and the exe's are white listed in defender and your other AV(s) just in case. TBH, I didn't have to do much with Defender/Webroot, but did with Malwarebytes. Also, after a patch, if you get the game crashing after launch or black screen, then you should start in windowed mode and toggle to see if the AV is asking if the app is safe in the background.

Click on the "Game Account" button up top as it should show your username. Then simply put whatever password you want in the boxes.

Pretty sure it's a no, but what exactly are you wanting to do/avoid?

Is your modem restarting on its own? I caught mine doing that throughout the year and ended up buying my own. The last tech that was out flat stated they had firmware issues causing it but the one he gave me was supposedly current. Kept having problems and bought my own online.

O.O Do you have one (build.txt) I could look at for comparison? Also, are you using standard enh or IOs? I'm guessing the latter as you play more than I do likely, but it's one thing that could make a dif if it had trouble interpreting the enh. Is it actually importing those or just the slots? I'd be curious to see what's going on TBH if this works for others.

Long shot, may not even be directly related... CityOfHeroes.exe -usetexenvcombine Enables simple rendering path, which may help fix issues with certain video cards and drivers. Put the dash command in the Tequila options -> Launch Parameters box

And this is what happens when you try that (as I believe was discussed in the same thread): Launch Mids Click Open File Choose the Build.txt Get a TON of general "WTF is this power?" errors End up with a mostly unusable template that has no enh slotted and most the powers are missing Pyromethious_Test Pyromethious_Correct The REASON it doesn't work has something to do with the extra headers the original Mids app has always looked for and the newest one even has issues (as they try to tweak the app's database) reading existing files at times. build.txt Pyromethious_Test.mxd

This and nothing more / nothing less unless somebody decides to go making money off an IP they don't own. Anything further (discussion wise) than this is simply going to fuel the minds of those with anxiety issues into an unnecessary tangent.

Backup your files and try a System Fresh/Reset first before a full clean install. It's possible the files it uses for that aren't as damaged (assuming this is software).

If you can (normally so if a laptop), try to do a hardware test. Specifically the RAM. I think Windows still has a built-in memory check function as well
