  1. I guess the problem there is that the specifics of "converter roulette" are in constant flux. See, you need to be able to buy the cheapest uncommon recipes available. But, as you do that, suply goes down, and price goes up. Conversely, once you are able to convert those uncommons to the good rares, you can't just turn them all into LotG: +Recharge, as that will flood the market, crash the price, and your returns will dwindle (especially if you spent over a million inf on the converters used to get there). So basically, you have to keep an eye on what you're buying, and what you're going to attempt to sell. If there's a glut of LotGs, hold on to them for a rainy day. If there's a run on them for any reason (like if a new def based armor set comes out), list them and cash in!
  2. Well yeah but to be fair, we're here to avoid the real world.
  3. Measure three times, you won't cut again! ...wait that makes no sense.
  4. Sometimes when playing a blast set, if I'm near the target and miss, my character will just arch up and shoot the ceiling. It's hillarious, but also adds a bit of insult to injury. So yeah any blast set =P
  5. ... and now your post is in Korean. Luckily I got the gist of it! Sent a tell last night =)
  6. I mean, it sounds like you've already done "different". Most Controller sets have basically the same setup: ST immob, ST hold, AoE immob, AoE hold, Pet, and three random filler powers. You've already played Illu (which trades its immob for a blast, its aoe immob for stealth, the aoe hold is pbaoe and PA is the only power like it in the game), Grav (wormhole is a rather unique power, and it has an extra blast attack) and Mind (has no immobs, trades a pet for an AoE confuse which USED to be unique, TK, and has a full attack chain). So, yeah, gotta echo Symph (pun intended) and Plant... even though the later ascribes to the "formula" above, its AoE immob deals almost twice as much damage as other similair powers, and Seed of Confusion is what dethrones Mass Confusion in the "AoE Confuse" department.
  7. Neat! So, what shard is this on? Or is the 4-star Aeon channel global and you just do runs wherever?
  8. Earth Control has immobs and -def in many of its powers, iirc. So, might be nice for that.
  9. Yeah, I know....when i was researching/testing some of the odd-off procs, I found that some were better than my notes/old guide said (I had the Call of Sandman proc as being 2% for 25 hp... it's actually 15% of base hp and goes off semi-reliably). Since most procs were better that I remember, I thought the Stun ones would be better, too. Ah well =/ Thanks, tho!
  10. My poor Mind Controller doesn't have any other stuns =( I was testing this on -2 Council, and the stun only seemed to last about 6 seconds, barely enough time to get Levitate off or try to stack it. But I wasn't using a stop watch, so that could just be my own perception of time. That's poopy, I was hoping it'd be a nice way to reset containment after using Mass Hypnosis + Terrify, but noooo. But, I think you clarified the issue; thanks, Lumi!
  11. ^thread title I'm in the process of testing procs as an update to my old Mind/Kin guide, and I've found that, while the proc DOES land a 1-pt Mag stun onto a target (srsly, only 1?), it A) doesn't seem to last the 8 seconds like its supposed to, and B) doesn't grant containment damage when attacking someone with another power! Yes, I'm attacking with a Controller, shush. If I manage to stack the magnitude of the proc, then Containment works. However, I don't see how that's actually possible outside of using the tools on the Beta client (which I was doing). I don't know if the proc needs to be brought up to Mag 2, or if Containment need to be looked at to affect foes with only 1 point of magnitude of a status effect.
  12. Welcome home! Did you get your gift basket from the Pay 2 Win lady? (It... it's not actually a basket, but you can get some free prestige powers that will help in the lower levels. There's also abilities and buffs that can be bought with inf. She's the lady in the black suit just North West of Ms. Liberty)
  13. He took his shot and failed. So no, I don't see him being (too) mad about it. He respects power and ambition, after all.
  14. DUDE! I always wanted more SSAs, but figured that making a dozen odd stroyarcs would probably be a big ask of the current team. Unless you're changing the formula a bit, which is totes fine, but either way, I'm excited =D
  15. I know people want the story to advance; heck, I'm one of them... but everything is clearly leading to the final boss of everything being the Puking Guy in Pocket D, and I'm not sure any of us can survive that challenge =(
  16. I think he's still there? The other day I was trying to get a screenshot of my badges list by the redside portal, and I could have sworn I heard him... I would up not using that screenshot and went to Atlas instead because I didn't like the lighting, but yeah, I think he's back?
  17. This madlad had to do the same mission 105 times! Round of applesauce! ...applause. Damn autocorrect.
  18. So, real basic stuff. As you level up, you will get enhancement slots for your powers. HOWEVER, you only get about... 55ish total? Nowhere near enough to put max slots in all powers. You'll probably want 5 or 6 slots in your attacks, and 2 or 3 in your armor and utility powers. Also, you can't just put 6 damage enhancements in all your attacks. There's a system in place that puts diminishing returns on enhancement value as you approach 100%. So you won't get full value out of a 3rd damage enhancement, and the 4th will only give like, 1%. It's generally better to enhance with a mix of damage, accuracy, and endurance/recharge/status (you'll have to choose between making a power cheaper to cast, decreasing recharge time, or boosting secondary effects... or maybe just a bit more damage, your call!) The IOs mentioned in a other post above are an advanced sytem, but will help you get more out of your limited slots. Many IOs (and other Special enhancements) increase more than one stat, so one slot will have Damage/Accuracy, another will have Damage/Recharge, another will have Damage/Acc/Rech, etc, giving you a bit more economy for your slots. But worry about that later once you have the basics down =)
  19. Yeah, you can't click on the magic science glow ball anymore, you have to click lower.
  20. Anniversary badge seems to have dropped! 1600!
  21. Anniversary badge just dropped, BOO YEAH; 1600!
  22. The whole part lamenting how small, tiny, and limited the alpha and beta testing segements are, and then suggesting that the playerbase be polled concerning ideas before the devs ever do anything? In the first post of the thread? It sure SOUNDS like you want more cooks in the kitchen, ready to Yay or Nay ideas in their infancy.
  23. I think the problem with OPs suggestions are that they fall into a "too many cooks" situation. Letting people whos only contribution would be reactionary opinions aid in development would be a TERRIBLE idea. And while I'm very aware of Power Creep and the need to keep it under control, the powers devs do seem to lean towards being a bit too cautious. But either way, I think the HC devs are doing a good enough job that we don't need to emulate thunderspy's "throw everything at the wall and see what sticks" approach, as OP seems to want.
  24. The thing with Time, is that the boost is smaller, in both effectiveness and radius. The T4 Barrier is like a 90 foot radius or something, because it was designed with league play in mind. So you don't have to corral your team when your barrier is up. Also, the x2 rez is a nice cherry on top.
  25. AFAIK, Base shift happens because you're placing/rotating things off-grid. When you place something, it's position and rotation are saved as coordinates, like we have in-game when you use /loc: 3.5 10.25 -15.01 Those decimal points only save up to 3 or so places: 10.025, -80.064, 100.128 etc. When you go off grid, the coordinates can be something like 10.007030293639262733649, and the base editor is like "wtf do I do with this?" Or something idk.
