  1. .... you're in Bodyguard mode, and take the hit right alongside them, aren't you? Get out of bodyguard, and stop drawing aggro to yourself. Your pets will all live much longer ... and so will you. .... the sole and only thing that can keep a Mastermind alive during an ambush, while soloing. Which is why Bodyguard exists.

  3. I wouldn't consider it pandering. An olive branch, maybe - I'm usually very much opposed to PvP changes. But since almost no-one (if not literally no-one) uses Team Teleport, it's an opportunity to make a change in favor of PvP, that would cost the PvE community little or nothing. I used Team Teleport briefly on my robotics/FF Mastermind on Live, thinking I could carry my robots about with me - back when resummoning was a pure PITA. Three days later, I respec'd out of it. 😛 Resummoning was less of a PITA than Team Teleport ...!
  4. That looks like an accurate summary to me. Regarding PvP ... we're all pretty much agreed that Team Teleport has to become something else entirely. So, what about this .... make that power something that, generally, only PvPers will want, by turning it into an anti-teleport buff, PBAoE in nature (that affects the caster as well as their allies) ...? Give it a mex-protection like resistance to being Teleported, and maybe a very small Hold/Immobilize protection (Mag 3 or 4, say) ...? No idea what to call it, but I can see it being desireable to PvPers .... and, if future content includes enemies that can use TP Foe on us, even something a few people might take for PvE. EDIT TO ADD: Just had an epiphany. Call it Dimensional Anchor, and have it drop a pseudo-pet that constantly radiates the buff, a la Tree of Life.
  5. I had a character (who was just grabbing some explore badges in one of the PvP zones) get TP-Foe'd ... funny thing, he was a Teleporter, too. The teleporting was like a yo-yo. They'd pull me in, I'd immediately teleport away from them (because I didn't wait to be yoinked before queue'ng up my own teleport). Over, and over, and over, and over. They were actually yelling angrily over Broadcast about it, trying to get me to stay still and fight.

  10. Exactly what SlyGuy says. When I join a team, typically for a TF, I do look at everyone's archetype and powersets. Not to see "do we have a viable team" - almost any four-or-more warm bodies is viable. But rather, to see "what will everyone else be doing, and how can I best leverage my own powers to work well with that?" 🙂
  11. Sure. But, again, it won't always work. If they're smart, those ranged guys have worked that teleport protection into their builds, for exactly that reason. Even so, "works half the time" is better than "outta luck", right? 🙂
  12. Yes. But, there are IOs and Set Bonusses that can provide protection against being Teleported, so, it won't always work.
  13. Speaking as a Mastermind player: Teleport Foe - this power is fine as-is. It's primary utility is in separating out enemies from crowded environments in order to defeat enemy clusters "in detail" rather than in a pitched battle. Recall Friend - this one needs to be improved. The recharge cycle is just too slow for what it does, and how infrequently it's needed (even for MMs). Teleport - I would like to see this reworked, to ape Mystic Flight: you get a toggle that gives you Hover (a bit more expensive and without the already-small +defense buff), and a pseudopower, Teleport. Team Teleport - Ugh. I tried this way back on Live, with my Robotics/Forcefield MM. And promptly respec'd out of it just as soon as I possibly could. It's ALL KINDS of screwed up. I have no idea how to fix this; I think maybe you CAN'T and it just needs to be replaced completely. Long Range Teleport - I have yet to try this power, so I can't speak to it.
  14. Which Radiation powerset? More importantly, what's their primary ...? For example, a Radiation/Radiation Defender or Corruptor who (so far) has picked up only their blasts, and has only Radiant Aura, Accelerate Metabolism, and Mutate .... may not be AS useful as someone who grabbed more of the debuffs, but they are still useful.

  20. That's been true since Issue 3, at least. 😄 And I say that, despite my main back on Live being a Teleporter.
  21. Yeah, the reboot is ... okay. I don't regret having bought it, the way I refuse to admit I bought MOO3. But it's not really Master of Orion, either. MOO2 is another perennial favorite, that has a permanent place on my HDD. Gods bless GOG.com for having both MOM and MOO2 (and MOO1 though I'm less enamored of that one), so that I no longer have to fight with my own OS just to get them to install and run.
  22. ... I stil play Master of Magic (a 1994 fantasy 4X game). Below is a screenshot - yes, it's tiny. The game only plays in 640x480. Graphics aren't why I play it. Gameplay is. 🙂
  23. Why does anyone take Flight, or Teleport, when you can take just Mystic Flight, and do both at once? 🙂
  24. You can already get full Flight, plus Teleport, via Mystic Flight. Yes, you're back at two power pools ... but honestly, anyone who doesn't plan to "Hovertank" is already better-advised to just get Mystic Flight, and skip Teleport altogether, anyway. So, hell. Make the Hover that you get free with Teleport cost as much as full flight (and heavily discount the Teleport END cost accordingly). Then it won't be so attractive for in-combat use.
