  1. I thought PAs are unbuffable? Does Soulbound work on them?
  2. Sei Fude : A Sushi chef who was cursed with sea forms by a magical carp for his crimes again its kin. (Chef styled, piranha-faced Warshade) Snookered : "Who let my robot watch reruns of 70s / 80s Snooker world championships. What use is it now?"
  3. powexec_location may help with your aversion to location AOEs. Want to change it to "fire at my target" : /macro EQ "powexec_location target Earthquake" Want to change something to a PBAOE : /macro QS "powexec_location self Quicksand" All my controllers use variants of these for quick-dropping of location powers onto a boss / nasty enemy. It's a godsend for my Plant / Storm and Illusion / Dark controllers. Macro versions are on the 1-9 bar, their actual powers are in the row above so I can see when they are recharged (or if I want to finesse-drop something).
  4. Isnt there a way around Spectral. That is to get it to summon one version if not in Domination and another suped up version when in Domination. I thought something recent works like that but I cant remember now (Shadow Field maybe in Dark?)
  5. When I remade Carni she was a Demon MM. 20 levels of "Raar. Raar. Raar" and she went back to being an Illusion controller. Phants are quiet.
  6. Weirdly I was just thinking about that. The only place I managed to slot it was nrg torrent, and to be honest I use that as an inbetween move (Dark is clicky). This is great info for my Plant/Stormie though :)
  7. All of these are good. Im running an Illusion/Dark/Power and shes excellent too. Lots of Defense and -ToHit for the team. Recovery & Regen for all from Soul Absorb and -resist for Phantom Army. No recharge buffs or defense debuffs (two things PA also likes) but very IOable.
  8. If you're talking relatively cheap and aiming for recharge 1st (which seems sensible because both Darks like recharge) sets like Dark Watchers Despair in some -ToHit powers (Fearsome stare, Darkest Night and Dark Servant for sure) and Basilaks Gaze in holds are good. Expedient Reinforcements in Haunt and Doggie. Replace with purps and ATOs if youve got cash. LOTG in every +Def power going too obviously. Probably worth picking up maneuvers for it too if possible (replace Air Sup maybe?). Shadow Fall is a good place for the Resist uniques. Also dont be afraid to frankenslot where it makes most sense. Soul Absorb I feel works better frankenslotted to max out recharge and grant decent Regen & recovery rather than worrying about a set bonus in there. Im running Illusion / Dark but a fair number of things translate across to Dark Control pretty well. My build (level 49 now and close to perma PA and Fade) was posted here :
  9. Personally id go Fire/Dark and keep Dark control for another secondary (I rolled a dark/time today after getting a dark/martial up to 30, because altisis is an affliction. Dark Control seems like it'll appreciate the Recharge from Time). Ive a funny thing about not matching sets for the most part but even discounting that... Fire likes melee and /Dark doesnt mind it either (for triggering heals on meleers and for hitting with Soul). Soul sorts out your End Drain from Hotfeet and imps will thrive off the protection from Fade, buffs and debuffs and a friendly Dark Fluffy summoned beside them healing and debuffing ToHit on everything close.
  10. Yep /macro TO "powexec_location target Tornado" Its excellent.
  11. Illusion / Dark / Primal. Nearly 50 and already well slotted up for recharge so not too far off perma-PA and the defense softcap. Lots of -ToHit and debuffs, nice team buffs and oodles of pets. Not a 'hard lockdown' controller but lots of fun. If theres a Kin on the team too you basically make each other gods. Pretty click intensive. Plant / Storm / Ice. 40ish currently. Mostly still standard IOed but very satisfying and decent damage. Confuse everything, lock them into place and dump chaos on top of them. For both of these dealing with target locations is easy creating macros using powexec_location is a godsend. /macro FR "powexec_location target Freezing Rain" Great for PAs, Dark Servant, Tar Patch and Spectral Terror on my Ill/Dark and Creepers, Freezing Rain and Tornado on my plant / stormie. For both Ive those on my main bar (with the actually powers above each in bar 2 so I can watch recharges) and it lets me pick a mob and drop hell on them easily. Think once I ding them up I'll look at a Dark/Time as it should be an excellent combo.
  12. So with Group Invis with a LOTG in it (and a few Recharge IOs which I haven't replaced yet) un-PBed Group Invis gives 2.14 defense. With PB that jumps to 4.39% (or rather 4.39 + 4.39 which disappears once combat starts). Fade gives me around 14% slotted but un-PBed and 25.39 when PBed. No PB (non-combat) With PB (non combat)
  13. Half of it does. I think im getting 5 to 7% off it with PB. Which doesnt sound like much but every % is precious the closer you get to 45%. Plus Carni has always had Group Invis so when I remade her as a Ill/Dark rather than Storm it stayed (Storm went onto my remade Plant controller and Empathy got kicked to the curb). I like to be able to run up to things with Decoys trailing along behind me. Ill run some ingame tests on Phanty later and give you a proper % breakdown.
  14. You seem to be 2 over on 6.25% recharge bonuses, so the slotting for Disruptor Blast and Summon Tarantula aren't doing much for you. I went with Primal Forces over anything else, because PBed Fade + Group Invis is just too good to pass up (~30% defense to everything for everyone on the team, as oppose to 16-17%. Throw in another ~7ish from Shadow Fall + Maneveurs and you're hitting 36/37 to anyone squishy). Pity the rest of the set is urrgh, although at least Energy Torrent takes Forced Feedback. One slot left in Spectral Terror for the Energy Font proc. I suspect overall I could go more Proc Monstery with it. Here's a my non-purp build, most of which I've gotten slotted up already (I'm level 45 currently). It might be useful. 15. I havent "built around" but on my illusion / dark ive got the PB + Fade + Group Invis combo gpi.g, so its recharge all the way for me (only level 45 so ive only got 3 Lotg and a couple of Dark Watchers in so far plus forced feedback in energy torrent). Downside is that neither Power bolt nor conserve are particularly useful as the 1st choice in the epic.
  16. The effect annoys my Illusion/Dark immensely too, get confused as to whether I'm Group Invised or not. The lack of sound on both irks me slightly too. I.want people to know theyre being buffed. The set is amazing though. Up there with Storm as my favourite Troller secondary now.
  17. Yup, this is frankenslotting it for Recharge and Damage (it does a respectable amount) so that you have 2 spots for PROCs. Not sure which are the best procs to use overall, I thought Posi's might be better than an immob one for example.
  18. Use a chain of files, each of which binds to select teammate X and loads the next to bind X+1? Number 8 selects teammate 8 and then loads the 1st file again.
  19. My mobile loves it. No more screen pinching to zoom in. A proper mobile UX. Great work folks 👍
  20. Hi from Dublin all. Used to be a Deviant / Onion and also had a stint on the US servers. Been back about a week and have too many alts. On the plus side I discovered a hidden installation lurking in Documents and my cossies folder was still intact.
