  1. This. I have 3 fully kitted out 50s where I'm happy and 2 newly minted ones who are pretty close. None of this was via farming or marketeering (other than crafting and selling a drop if it was worthwhile). Mostly from drops and merits from TFs and stories. None of them have purples (actually 1 has 1 set) because the cost per improvement is too much for me, I'm happy just slotting IOs and AT sets mostly. So its easily possible to be in the "lower earning" brackets and tricked out. For example the Citadel Tf earned my level 30 brute 22 mill in 55 mins last night, thats the bones of 3 Luck of the Gamblers, a full Oblit set or 5 Posi IOs with a decent chunk of change. It also made me never want to see a stupid council base ever again but thats more the TFs fault rather than the crafting systems 😀
  2. Khelds could do with some Epics. Some mix of team buffs, debuffs and maybe controls. And preferably form usuable. Forts are a bit odd. Ranged attacks for a set with ranged attacks. One or two additional with something else rather than ranged attacks might be a nice alternative option. And give controllers some or all of their Epic Containment damage back. Even 50%. Primals attacks make me sad.
  3. Didnt know Sonic was 60% all of the time. FR is weird though. The actual debuff lingers for 30 seconds (rather than disappearing after a few seconds out of the patch) so that may help.stacking it.
  4. Remember Stormies and Darks can also stack their patches. Because each is essentially a summoned entity with a debuff aura each entity can apply its own debuff. Sleet from Cold can do the same I guess but I dunno what the recharge is. Rads is a toggle cast by you and Times is a debuff also originating from you so cant self stack. Trick arrow can layer disruptions but not acid arrow. Traps can, I think get two mortars down. So for long AV fights Storm / Sonic.

    30% on a domi? Unless its proccing Achilles I think the number is lower, 18% or something. On a defender its higher. It is very proccable though. Achilles and 2/3 damage procs. The animation is a bit slow though.
  6. On live my only Empath was a Plant/Emp. Thematically it works and play-wise Plant isnt too busy (Seeds, Creepers when available then just hold whatever you like) so youve space to Empath. Audrey can receive your buffs. That said on Live I got annoyed with the occasional "you're the healer, stop attacking stuff" so on homecoming I rerolled her to Plant/Storm.
  7. Given how unproccable zombies are generally the 20% chance (it still seems to be a flat rate rather than a PPM, weirdly) across 3 zombies with 2 single attacks and a narrow cone is quite decent. Ive no idea why its a flat 20% though.
  8. I'm also fond of the Universal Dam/KB2KD/Chance for knockdown in my Zombies. Rounded off their damage for me : 4 intensive recharge IOs for the set bonus + that, leaving one spot spare for a Pet unique. Watching things slip in zombie vomit gladdens my heart.
  9. Once every 10 seconds itll roll to proc, since it's in a toggle. And since the AoE is big the proc chance is poop. Much better off taking an Epic hold and sticking it there. At least then it'll proc on cast when you want that big horrid boss out of your face. My Necro/Nature MM frankenslotted it with a few End/Hold IOs. I stuck procs into Life Steal, the -resist power pool and 2 epics (knockout blow and shark jaws), along with a sprinkle in my pets.

  11. Remove the animation penalty of popping claws. All other sets removed it but Veats still have it. Give them proper cossie choices for weapons. I want purply-pink "Psi blades" for my fort, not the knuckle dusters im limited to now.
  12. There's a pagination link on the content page. That tells you how many pages of content there is. Just hunt that element and parse the text in there to figure out how many pages there are (number after the last space in the element is total number of pages). Isn't that all you need? See here
  13. Yep Spectral is way, way better than Flash. It can stack the fear, continues to apply fears to anything getting close and comes with a hefty -ToHit debuff. Flash is pbaoe, has crap animation time, takes ages to recharge and doesnt have any secondary debuff attached.

  15. My proc-happy build is here. I achieved a fair chunk of it, especially the procs and pet uniques
  16. Sorcery is also a route to mez protection which acts like a break free. This gets very useful in the 40s when Malta and Carnival start showing up. Later I respecced the absorb shield in instead of it on my Ill/Dark. Thats more situational but good to lob on an aggro attracting Blaster or Domi.
  17. If we're talking procs Slowed Response can be a decent proc monster. Its something you'll want to be casting every time its up, it'll take 3 damage procs + the -res ones, animation time is reasonable and long base recharge means the chances to proc will be decent. Distortion field suffers from animation time and the fact its a patch (procs don't work well in patch powers, they're essentially toggles).

  19. I couldnt click with Rad/Elec brute. Rad melee just seemed too slow animationwise and Elecs end tools come quite late. Mine ended up stuck at 27. Instead I rolled a Warmace/Rad brute. The AoE tends to come towards the end but its satifying single target too and in the 30s / 40s you just heap the AoEs in.
  20. I wonder if there was some way to boost Supremacy when your Tier ones aren't out. IE when you forfeit your Tier 1s the other Tiers are a bit stronger to compensate (with maybe also a Res & Def buff to you to compensate for no Bodyguard)
  21. Mu has Power Sink or something doesn't it? My Plant/Stormie took it because of that.
  22. My Plant/Emp became a Plant/Storm. That left Carnifax stuck as she'd been illusion/storm live. So I remade her as Ill/Dark. Carni became a carnie. Costume-wise it turned out id preserved the entire CoH installation into Documents when upgrading my PC. Dont even remember doing it but the cossie files were mostly there. So I've been using them as the basis of new characters (tatooed, kilt wearing broadsword/nrg got Spectrum-oranged into Iron Brew, War Mace/Rad for example).
  23. Solo its probably worth doing that. Any AoE character its worthwhile lowering level and increasing numbers. DPE is much better. Also you can Insp burn as you go. More defeats means more insp drops means quicker defeats . Also frankenslotting hotfeet (and choking cloud) to level isnt the worst idea in the world. Use Attuneds and theyll be useful all the way to 50.

As far as I knew the PB buff does transfer to FFG but since the def bubble is a "toggle" type power, refreshing every couple of seconds, once the PB buff wears off the increased defense wears off shortly afterwards. So the boosted defense only lasts 16 seconds so so max afaik when combining FFG with power boost.
  25. Well yes but then no. At 50 your pets kitted out with the IOs will be tougher. Unfortunately you'll also find yourself on +3/+4 teams. So +5/6 against your tier ones. That's what splats them so easily. They run into the purple patch since they are -2 to your level and you're fighting +4s. Mercs and ninja are also the two most fragile sets overall which doesnt help. What can help are debuffs. Dark is good for this since you can lower a bosses tohit and damage a lot between darkest night, fearsome stare and the servant. Also the forthcoming ai changes should help. On my warshade the biggest cause of Fluffy death is charging into melee range and getting caught in aoes. Its really annoying. The boss isnt even attacking them, they just get caught in the blasts.
