  1. Ran into this doing "Pay Toothbreaker Jones a visit", so definitely not just KW issue.
  2. For people wishing even more topics: https://www.rhymezone.com/r/rhyme.cgi?typeofrhyme=perfect&loc=thesql&Word=leaving Hmm, I like Sleving, need to work it into some conversations.
  3. I do this a lot. I'd have to do more research on the stealth suppresses auras. It seems to work fine with my blasters and stalkers, but my other melee chars use the Only Affect Self trick.
  4. You're not doing anything wrong, he's not one of the AVs in RV https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Recluse's_Victory#Defeat_Badges
  5. Hmm, that would be an interesting Auction option. The ability to mark something to automatically reduce in price based on time up for sale. Heck, you could do it with Price posted, and two variables, when to mark down, and either amount or percentage. Minimum price set at 10 and if up at 10 for X amount of time, automatically bought by the system. (And if either variable is set at zero, the item doesn't degrade) Maybe not 10, maybe where the amount taken by the auction percentage would equal the original posted costs. ie, if you post something for 1000, your cost to post is 50. So, if you have it set to degrade, the minimum would be 50. (How this is then worked with the sales percentage is debatable) And I'd allow the variables to be changed dynamically so once posted, you can modify that without having to repost it.
  6. Not to say there shouldn't be a better listing of content, but adding another item that people are just as likely not to use isn't going to work. Currently, FInd Contact works fairly well for your level range. Assuming that any other unlocks have already been done. Hence why you may not get Doc Buzzsaw. I've done a few "Do EVERYTHING" characters and find contact works fairly well in addition to doing newspaper/radio missions. The Oro Crystal does list everything and shows what you've at least started. Though once again, if you haven't unlocked a contact, it won't list it. The LFG tab shows a lot of other content that you are eligible for. Including the SSAs. I think there's room for something, but right now I'm thinking of a flowchart rather than an item.
  7. Oh good that someone suggested GIMP. It's a good program. It's the only editor I use (though I've used PS and a host of others over the years)
  8. If you read the entire post, the Captain explains the why.
  9. For Knockdown, Axe is another good choice. I'
  10. What are the odds I was trying out my Psi/Regen Scrapper and Rad/Regen Sentinel. My results were pretty much the same, though a respec on my scrapper did make a difference. Though mainly because it was one of my first chars, and there were some poor choices on live. 😉
  11. Just to tag along on this. A lot of the early game is a little easier with more access to more temp powers, movement, and better enhancements. The big thing is just the grind of if you die having to hospital to Atlas, walk back to the hollows, then survive to the mission door again. A lot of that got easier pre-shutdown, but it was a hurdle early days.
  12. I would like to see the source of this claim, I couldn’t find it. The 300,000 accounts are probably from the attached article which mentioned 300k accounts, but also the month users was around 42k https://massivelyop.com/2024/03/07/over-42000-people-played-city-of-heroes-homecoming-in-the-last-month/
  13. I will note that I took my Elec/Time Controller thru a mission just to check out the new control bits and the noticeable difference was I blew thru it. I wasn't doing anything very difficult, but this is something that should be tested, not just read.
  14. My favorite bread book, great pizza recipe as well, but there's a pizza centric book as well that improves on it. https://kensartisan.com/flour-water-salt-yeast
  15. Scrappers could maybe get an either/or. I often have my scrappers stealthing around, but not always.
  16. There do seem to be some topics that need a pinned FAQ to say "This has been discussed a few times before, here's why we haven't done it"
  17. Apples and Oranges probably. Patrol XP is in a bunch of different calculations and not that many people feel like you do. Though I doubt it would be any harder than to turn off main XP? I have seen people gripe about salvage more so, but I also don't find it an issue. Now, will be getting badges for reject salvage?
  18. I think testing on a tanker might be issue with figuring out the numbers. Running a scrapper or Brute with one of the non-affected power sets might give us a better idea on how much mob regen is being an issue. Though mob regen will be more an issue with lower DPS chars. (Defenders maybe, I think they've been ignored...)
  19. I'll ask a dev, but with the change in damage for the tri-cannon, I'm getting the idea that on average, you'll do 33% more damage.
  20. I just looked at the stats for a level 37 Arsenal controller on live & open beta. Live, Tri-Gatling shows Average Damage at 73.92 Beta, it shows Average damage of 145.01 Where are you showing the nerf bit?
  21. I don't think there is a mechanism for targeting only once you have certain badges or souvenirs. (And could be confusing for some, even it did straighten out some lore bits. Currently, you can just be clued in by one of your compatriots)
  22. Aren't you legally obligated to laugh maniacally whenever you mention that arc? MWA HA HA HA!
  23. I did a few leveling run thrus and did a few copies of chars and then rejiggered for changes. I also did some "copies" where my alt account ran the test and on live I ran the same missions. Not enough time in RL to do much in depth stuff since Open though. (and a bit before)
  24. I'm seeing more that there's less impact, but I'll admit that's just how it feels to me. On the mention that speed runners are getting the most out of this, I'm not sure of that. The complicated task trees and walls of text sort of run counter to that. On speed runs in the game, most of the speed I see are with people that have run that content numerous times.
  25. The persistent versions on city maps can be reset by deleting the file. (which takes a little investigation, often by deleting the character's touched file, but it's a sledgehammer approach, and I think you have to reboot the client as well) It would be a nice thing to be able to reset the state as you suggest. Possibly by just hitting reveal again?
