  1. Fire Breath is almost always taken inertial reduction is an always since I normally don't bother with a travel pool with my kinetics. (Maybe tp target) If you have enough recharge in your rez, you don't need defense. 😉 (normally this is for my blasters, melee tend to actually be tough enough to not need rez) With the change to repulsion field toggles, their a bit more interesting. I find PFF handy Of course, I think the characters in regards to this, most don't have the fighting pool. Granted, I tend to go with the fighting pool for my agro magnets and manuevers with my other chars since that tends to help the actual agro magnets.

I think a lot of builds use the Tough & Weave powers for slotting the individual IOs, so what wse really should have is have a couple six slot inherent powers called "Inherent Resist and Defense" that would allow you to put those special IOs like Gladiator Armor TP Protect/Def. They wouldn't have any real base to enhance. #notserious
  3. Not repeatable on command, since it's not quite range or movement involved. May even have to do with the devices secondary.
  4. Maximum of three logged into one shard if the player count is below 1500. No actual limit on accounts. Nuances to be seen the Code of Conduct.

  6. Nope. So, it might have something to do with range, but don't think so. At 165' able to fire it off and it does the nothing happens. Right after recharge, works great. No moving of either party between firing. Just did a few more firings and haven't gotten it to happen again and on the complete edge of range. (167')
  7. Most of my built up scrappers can solo quite a bit of +4/x8 content. Really depends on the debuffs for the most part. You need to be a bit more dynamic in your play than with a tanker, or even a brute. (though I also have some blasters that can solo +4/x8, normally at a higher risk, but for them it's kill first usually) To Tank, the agro management tools are lacking, but if your scrapper can take the alpha while the rest of the team cleans quickly, it probably won't matter as much.
  8. I should have mentioned. Straight line to them and everything and the target was not moving. Usually when the target winds up going behind something, the shot doesn't happen. This one is fully activated, goes to the target, and just fizzles.
  9. Every so often I've been noticing that when I fire Sniper Blast on my Energy Blast/Dev Blaster that the effect goes off, seems to hit the target, but nothing happens. No aggro, combat log shows all that I did was activate Sniper Blast. No to hit check or anything. added note: Pretty sure it only happens with the long snipe
  10. In the real world those wouldn't stay in place for more than a hot minute, but if you go thru the lore, those buildings have been like that for some time. (I'd have to go back and read some of the plaques again for a more accurate timestamp)
  11. Building standards are pretty interesting in the CoX universe. You have buildings that are partially fallen over, but still structurally sound enough to sit in that position for years. And somehow, I doubt in our world, that bit of work they're doing on the building near the steel entrance [-1824.4 93.7 5349.5] would happen. I think most buildings would just be razed and then maybe a rebuild. Of course, we've got a few zones that are messed up. Boomtown & Faultline seem to be the only ones with some work being done. And the construction in Steel has now been going on for quite some time. Resource wise, it would seem to make sense to fix that leak in the dam as a priority... We have more population coming in via Praetorian refugees and Galaxy City getting smashed. There's a lot of story that is just waiting to be picked up again.
  12. Personally, I'd use another system like UE: Paragons & Protectors and go mostly for the story flavor without worrying about translating in game mechanics.
  13. Ok, apparently it's something to do with secure DNS. Disabling that allowed me to go to the wiki, but I need to look more into the cause since I don't want to leave that off.
  14. For some reason, I can't reach the wiki. I get "Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site" Thought it might clear up after rebooting the routers, etc... Looks like some dns cache elsewhere up the chain is being annoying.
  15. Hami, 120 merits in 30 minutes. (and that's the long estimate) Quite a few arcs that can be knocked out much faster. The new Stribbling arc you can knock out in an hour for 100 merits. The rest of your post, sure. As pointed out, there's no one path to building up inf.

  17. It's even more fun with private chats since it will also not append in actual order. It will save the current chat in reverse order sometimes which wouldn't be a big deal if they at least had better timestamps. 😄 Most of my chatlog archive has to do with playing around with a parser for combat logs and drops. I was just looking at my private log since I was sent a tell just as I was logging out last night
  18. What's nice at the lower levels, recipes are cheap and easily converted to replace that 40 mil easily. And yes, Everyone plays different from Everyone. (heck, i think my alt account plays different)
  19. What defensive powerset do your u enjoy playing the most? And the least? Depends on mood, easier to find the ones I don't have much experience with: Dark, Super Reflex, and Stone; though revisiting a Dark tank soonish Regen annoys me in that it has potential, and it's hard to use (outside of Sentinel). Click Mez protection are probably my least favorite Inv, WP, and Bio are my favorites for different reasons, but I have been doing the others for tests. Is there a particular defensive powerset that you feel compelled a overtuned? Not particularly. Depends on what you're fighting I find. Inv, WP, and Bio. I hear Rad is overtuned. 😄 What about any that you perceive as undertuned? Regen needs help. Tricky part is making it more useful without just making it WP or Bio. (Though Sentinel Regen is at the appropriate level for it) What about playing defensive based sets whether they use defense, resistance, regen, or some combination thereof that appeal to you the most? Anything that gets your regen rate higher than your losing health is good. D you take taunt if available? Every time for tanks, usually with brutes, sometimes with scrappers. The cooler the animation, the more likely. Also depends on if I have a power slot to burn. How does each armor set stack up at various difficulty levels? One thing I like about WP & Regen is that endurance is not a big of a deal. What type of agro management do you focus on if any? Depends on the AT, but with a tank, I'll be more proactive about pulling them over. Case by case on the others. What kind of experience do you have tanking whether as a tank or other melee based toon with an armor based powerset? Enough to really get myself in trouble. Solo? Small teams? Large teams? Leagues? Yes. I try to get myself at a good level in regards to not need too much support, but that support then can push my melee char into doing more.

  22. Another person who has played my storm blast mostly on teams. Some were steamrollers, some not. On my sentinel, I was able to get storm cell nearly on every group and cat5 wasn't far behind. It's a fun set that does middle tier damage and tends to mess up the enemy quite a bit.
  23. Not sure what might be the issue. I don't use it a lot, but seems to be running on my linux system setup. (Though I tend to use BadgeSetList outside the modder since I do a couple modifications to it myself afterwards.)
  24. No on seeding, possible on converting. Conversion will probably flatten the market though initial turmoil since we have prices from 1000 to 800M depending on a few factors. Not too invested myself. I have a couple powers that would be better off with a Hami instead of current, but not enough to make a difference. Then again, I don't try to tweak out the last few percentages.
  25. I think for TFs, I like that many of them now when you call the contact for the next mission, that it kicks everyone out onto the street. (unless it's me and I was trying to get revenge on some mob. 😉 ) Unless the person is a lead, it's rarely a problem from my point of view. I think this would also have a negative effect on those roleplayers that have a character doing some emote in a base.
