  1. Tomorrow is September 1st, isn't it?
  2. Nope, there's Bright and Dark options you can recolor the Phantasm but no Mirror option. Same for Spectral Terror.
  3. Nothing's more intimidating than a nine foot tall Freddie Mercury ready to belt into song. ... OK, it would be Freddie Mercury if I could customize the phantasm.
  4. One thing I'll add from experience with my Elec/Elec sneakyboy: Power Sink not only tops off your blue bar, but its also great as mitigation. A target with an empty blue bar is a target that's left with nothing but love taps to hit you with. Properly slotted, you can get a lot of empty blue bars. Of course, it also helps when your primaries are also draining endurance... 😉
  5. Something like this would work. Ideally, I'd like some room for Manuevers, but there's just too much good stuff both in Rad and WM to pass up. And Rad is actually not that slot intensive, so there's plenty of room to six slot your attacks. 6. My WP/MA is nigh indestructible, but he's not the wrecking ball that my Rad/StJ is.
  7. There's no tactical thought if they've already made the strategic thought of "I can find a better power / powerset / archetype that doesn't have a crash" when they're building their character. Crashless nukes became a thing in live because the going meta was that nukes were skippable because of the crash. If the meta is bypassing the T9s because of the crash, then the crash has to also be considered part of the problem.
  8. Too busy War Mace-ing things.
  9. GW2 also gives you all your powers and stat boosts regardless of level. My lvl 80s with full exotic can waltz across Queensdale.
  10. ESO is a gritty fantasy setting and CoH is cartoon and comic superheroes. Totally different themes and player expectations.
  11. Story content? Story content! 😃

    Best Brute

Oh, oh, you said best 'brute'. My bad.

    Rad or Invuln

Same boat. My WP/MA was solid enough I could take Musculature, and he kinda really needs it. (Which is why he also runs Assault.) I'd absolutely love to put it on my Rad/StJ, but the defense plus recharge from Agility and Barrier were of greater importance.
  14. A true hero would have no qualms about suckering Arachnos into handing over the goods.
  15. This is also true. Maybe less deflating than stabilizing as more players pick up on basic converting and marketing.
  16. Reactive Defenses and Red Fortune are currently in the 2 mil or less range crafted, which sounds about right given that they're also a good source of +rech%. And 2 mil isn't that much to write home about, honestly. Meanwhile, I'm scoring full sets of purple recipes for less than 75 million. I can pick up orange salvage for 450k on the regular, and yellows for 1k. I loaded up an alt with 200 mil so he could finish off his two remaining purple sets, and he's going to have a good 45 mil or so leftover when he's done. I can use that with my other savings elsewhere and hold that CC I've been meaning to do. Heck, I could give out rewards in purple sets. So, yeah, the market actually is deflating, regardless of how you're spinning it.
  17. No, not a thigh bone, an actual Skull Thug. This is a family friendly forum, so I can't repeat the quote, but y'all should know it!

    Rad or Invuln

I respec'd Trinity, put the Build Up proc in CR, added the Erad and Arma procs to GZ, and did some eyeball testing this morning. CR -> GZ -> SS is effectively a mininuke now, its glorious. Even the bosses get shredded. Throw in Meltdown and it gets even better. At some point I may have to try GZ -> FS with double stacked Rage, just because that'd be even more ludicrous. I just have to find a concept I'd be happy with first.

    Rad or Invuln

Meltdown is straight +33% damage boost for 60 seconds, Beta Decay can take the Achilles proc, and Ground Zero does reasonable direct damage and can take both the Achilles and FotG procs in Ground Zero - on top of Ground Zero's damage. Meltdown -> Combat Readiness -> Ground Zero -> Spinning Strike and I'm already starting to clear out the trash. Come to think of it, I should look into working more procs into my build. And use Meltdown more often. I was getting some nice returns using it in hero tips earlier today. And maybe starting thinking on a Rad/SS. Meltdown + Rage? HULK SMASH.

    Rad or Invuln

See, I agree. Rad makes up the slightly more durable with being slightly more offensive. Ultimately, its a matter of taste.

    Rad or Invuln

So the blue skittles you're chomping when fighting sappers and Carnies don't count as clickies? Also, no damage aura or Achilles procs either. And lol at 'good enough'. Y'all are really defensive about Invuln. Should I also bring in my WP/MA build that's also defense capped without clickies?

    Rad or Invuln

My Rad tank has a 900+ HP shield that refreshes every thirty-five seconds, slots two Achilles procs for -Res, can cap out S/L/F/Toxic resists (and almost Energy) with perma-Barrier, has a pseudo-damage aura, and gets to laugh at Malta and Carnies. Yeah, her defense isn't anything to write home about, but the defenses are so nicely layered I'm rarely ever having to hit Radiation Therapy for a heal. Is it better than Invuln? I'd say its a trade-off, a fully built out Invuln's tougher but you get more bang for your buck with Rad.
