I will let others who play all the Tank armors weigh in on any specifics, but generally as a Tanker, you want to take most all or most of your Primary armor-set powers as they help you stay alive to hold the aggro for your team. If you skip any powers, it should be on your attack / secondary powerset. But even then, you should be able to take all your primary and secondary, and you'll have 6 slots for your pools - in which you can take your 4 teleport powers + 2 others. Regarding Team Teleport - this is basically a travel power for your entire team. You teammates around you will teleport to your chosen location WITH YOU. This isn't a "recall your team to your location" power. And many people don't like being teleported at someone else's whim, so they will have "Prompt Team Teleport" enabled and and decline when prompted - and having a ton of prompts come up on their screen can be quite aggravating and annoying. So, think carefully before choosing and using this power.

Allow Mastermind ATO's to slot in personal attacks.
Frozen Burn replied to TheMoncrief's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I completely understand this request. I had a hard time building my MM too with the limited # of powers the ATOs are allowed. Most other ATs, their ATOs can be slotted in 7-9 powers of their attack set or control set (for Trollers and Doms). This provides a variety of building options for all other ATs. But in general, the MM only has 3 pet powers to slot their ATOs. Thugs, Demons, and Necro get a bonus 4th power to slot ATOs in (Gang War, Hell on Earth, and Soul Extraction). That is 3-4 possible powers for slotting options vs. 7-9 for all other ATs - that's unfair. There is no reason the ATOs shouldn't also be available to slot in other MM's primary attacks. Now, like Uun stated, there may be another secondary powerset that you can slot them into (like Storm/Tornado), but this seems to be a one-off as I don't see any other MM secondary powersets that has a power that allows them - not even Dark Miasma and Dark Servant. So, this seems to be a bug/exploit for Tornado and I think this should NOT be allowed - no other AT can slot their ATOs in primary AND secondary - only the primary OR secondary (in the case of Defenders). But if the MM ATOs can be opened up to their primary attacks as well, this would give them 6-7 powers for slotting and having a bit of freedom in their builds like other ATs. (And eliminating them from Tornado becomes moot.) I see this as a completely reasonable request. -
You should sync up and find the missing two badges now before your list gets even longer to check through. I know from experience. 🙂

Yeah, I posted something similar a while ago... I love me some Sally, but this looks like a snake poking it's head out of a steel ball. lol

Normally, there is some dramatic music playing during Anti-Matter's opening monologue and cutscene in the Keyes Trial, but lately, it's been quiet with no music at all.

Team Transporter error message running Night Widow Ragana's arc
Frozen Burn replied to BillyMailman's topic in Bug Reports
Team Transporter never takes you to a Contact Door like that. It will only take you to a physical door or portal - and never to a person. So this isn't a bug per se, but just the way it always has been ever since these transports were put in game. -
Yes, Op does this with EVERYTHING. They complain everything sucks and is useless. People try to help, but then most of the time, they admit they've never even played the thing they are bashing. (I'm actually surprised they seem to have been playing a defender!) But sometimes, like now, they never answer respond to their own thread and to any of the help at all. As @Luminara said, with this person, best to just smile, nod, and let them fade into the archives.

Once you switch to Hero/Vig and run that Ouro intro arc, the 2nd mission titled "Outbreak" will be the mission with the Contaminated. So that's when you may want to bump up to x8. However, you will ex'd down to lvl 1. It's eons since I've run arc, so can't remember how difficult it is at lvl 1 to kill 100 of the buggars at x8. In the tutorial they are spread out so it's easily manageable. But if you're overwhelmed, there is no harm in killing some, DO NOT COMPLETE mish and just log off and log back on to reset the mish, and then farm more - rinse and repeat as necessary. Good luck!!

Make EB Shivans available from the S.T.A.R.T. vendor
Frozen Burn replied to EJane's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
This would negate the big draw for even playing in Bloody Bay, as not many PvP. You can get into Bloody Bay at lvl 15 which is early enough. What AVs do you have to face prior to level 15?? Doctor Vahzilok in the Posi 2 TF, and that's really it. Plus, the START vendor has Envenomed Daggers that are cheap to buy and will destroy an AVs regen rate for easier solo-ability. There is no need for Shivans to be purchasable on the onset from START Vendors. -
Carnie Dark Servant persists when Master Illusionist is killed
Frozen Burn replied to Moniacal's topic in Bug Reports
Yep, the Dark Servants have always persisted after the death of the MI. Just like the Phantasm, or Legacy Chain's stoney pet, Ruin Mage's Earthquake (which is a pseudo-pet, but a pet nonetheless), Rularuu Overseers spawning extra eyeballs, and so many others. 🙂 -
I think Malibu Kin and Sunflare Surfer would be bros shreddin' some totally tubular waves off the coast of Talos Island or the Rogue Isles. 😄

Yes. Many of us do as we sit at the max badge count. 🙂 Good luck and welcome to the badger club!

I completely agree on both accounts. I use AP freely and with no issue. But apparently, as you can see, many people have issue with it. Oh well. 🙂

No, they are not wrong... the T4s (and 1 of the T3s on the core side) will last 2 mins, which is how long the power recharges. The effects just slowly wane over that 2 mins, but it does last that long - hence being "perma." Most all Destinies are like this. And as for what to pick.... it's always depending on what your needs or wants are. All are good and useful. It is totally up to you and your preference. I have toons that have made several and some that have made all of them.

kiosk potential... anyone click on them?
Frozen Burn replied to shortguy on indom's topic in General Discussion
The Family takes great pride in their food, so you can trust what they make. It's SOOOO good! Mmmm... Chicken Marsala with a side of Lasagna. 😄 -
kiosk potential... anyone click on them?
Frozen Burn replied to shortguy on indom's topic in General Discussion
Your title makes no sense. What kiosk? Merit Vendor kiosk? BenevoLabs kiosk? City Data Terminal Kiosk? Vanguard Merit Reward kiosk? That bodega in Talos where you can get a great pastrami sandwich?? ....please elaborate. Which kiosk and what potential are you referring to? -
Hostages have a sound effect like glowies do?
Frozen Burn replied to Zephyr Star's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Some missions, it does. But there are a lot that do not. I do agree and would prefer a text bubble that pops up when near, over a sound or glowing effect. Many already have a hard time hearing glowies - a visual chat bubble that you can typically see through walls gives a better indication of the direction and location of the speaker. -
Martial Arts / Super Reflexes question and build help.
Frozen Burn replied to Nintova's topic in Brute
Why are you slotting for specifically Resistances? SR is a defensive set and you should be slotting for that over resistance. Yes, having SOME resistance is good for when attacks may get through, but with high enough Def and SR's built in scaling resistance as you get lower on health, + the Reactive Defenses Scaling Resist IO - slotting specifically FOR resistances is not needed. Additionally, you are over capped on a lot of your set bonuses, you have a lot IOs that provide no bonus to you whatsoever - so they are wasted. Click your "View Active Sets" button and look at all the things in red - you're not getting those bonuses. 🙂 I tweaked your build some. Take a look at it attached here. Slotting KB set in Dragon's Tail and a KB>KD proc in it is just wasteful. Dragon's Tail already KDs, just put in a full set of Scirocco's in for the extra defense. Slotting Kismet set is useless - use those slots to 6-slot Cobra Strike and Eagles Claw for more Def. Switched Cobra Strike to all Mako's to get you more ranged Def and even out your defenses overall. Weave is over slotted - moved the slot to Tough..... Again, use Unbreakable Guards in Tough for Def and the +Max HP special (this gives you more end discount, def, and HPs), and add in the Steadfast Protection +3% defense. Stalagmites - use Posi's instead of Detonation, which does nothing for you. The extra recovery will help you more and Posi's are cheap. Switched a lot of your Reactive Defenses to Luck of the Gambler since you are over capped on React Def bonuses. and they were doing nothing for you. Now, you at least get something. The 3rd performance Shifter was useless as you are capped on that +HP bonus, so just put in a 2nd Power Transfer (End Mod) so you at least, and you'll ekje out s tiny bit more end recovery too. With this build, you are well over the soft cap for normal content, and right at the soft cap for Incarnate content. These are all still cheap sets and IOs in the build (except maybe some of the PVP specials). Defense sets are expensive in general - even Red Fortunes and lower level sets that go to 4-5 mill each. Sometimes, you can buy cheap PVP IOs for 4.5-5 mill, and then convert them into Shield Walls. MMA Hole - Cheap - Brute (Martial Arts - Super Reflexes).mbd -
What additions to the AE would we like to see? (Within reason!)
Frozen Burn replied to Darmian's topic in Mission Architect
Probably mentioned already in this thread, but doesn't hurt to state it again.... I'd like the ability to have a Boss teleport/medi-port away at a setting of your choosing (full, 3/4, 1/2, 1/4 health), much like Anti-Matter does in Tina Mac's arc when you first encounter him, so that you fight him again later - and with others in so many other arcs in-game. This mechanic would also be nice for rescuing Allies as well instead of having them run off through the map., they can medi-port out immediately. -

Martial Arts / Super Reflexes question and build help.
Frozen Burn replied to Nintova's topic in Brute
HI @Nintova Good job so far! Some additional things you may want to consider. Get rid of all Kin Combats in Eagle's Claw and just go for 6 straight Touch Of Death's. That will get you more Melee Def. Combat Jumping - missed opportunities: Move your Reactive Defenses Scaling Resist to Focused Fighting for 5-slot set bonus (more End Discount) Move your Shield Wall +Resist (PVP) to Evasion to get 5-slot set bonus there (more damage) - since this is a PVP set, if you just do more Reactive Defenses in Evasion, then just leave the Shield Wall Special where it is. Agile - doesn't need 5 slots. Just use: LoTG Def/Global Rech + 3 from Reactive Def (D, DE, DR) Move that extra slot to Cobra Strike for 6 Death Of Touches and more Melee Def Dragon's Tail - does not need 6-slots of Purple set. The Toxic/Psi resist in is negligible to your build and thus, useless. That's pretty much a rule-of-thumb for most (not all) purlple sets. Tough - with the extra slot from Dragon's Tail, 6-slot Tough. Change Aegis to 4 Unbreakable Guard: R, RE, RER, +Max HP (more Melee Def) Slot your Gladiator's Armor (PVP) +3% Def Add in Steadfast Protection: Resist/+3% Def Stalagmites - FYI... JAvelin's Volley is another PVP set. Perhaps slot 5 Posi's Blast instead, or if you can come up with a 6th slot, use Artillery for more ranged Def. Hope this helps! -
No one plays hardmodes because they suck
Frozen Burn replied to TheSpiritFox's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Ummm... there are lots of of Hardmodes being run on Torch, and i know of people who run them on Excel. And I actually prefer them to the regular version. They are challenging and not just an easy walk through like so mush else. they take coordination, patience, and strategy. And i find this hard line against them from you a bit of BS when you admitted in another thread that you haven't even run any. So, how about you spend some time running them before you start saying they are crap. -
What's your practical max file size %?
Frozen Burn replied to Ankylosaur's topic in Mission Architect
Creating custom mobs and and large groups of them is what eats up most of your file size. The number of elements (bosses, clickies, rescues, etc) can also increase the size a bit. The text itself is very minimal. But custom critters and the amount of them you have in the group is what eats up most of the file size. I have a couple custom groups in two arcs with about 10 different minions, 10 different Lts, 6 different bosses, and 4 different EBs/AVs.... and I am at roughly 53% of my file allotment size on both arcs. Sorry, I have no clue. Fortunately, I haven't experienced this yet. *knock on wood* -
No. For Role Diversity Badge, Each character fills only 1 role at a time. You would need at least a fifth person. Additionally, For Mirror Image badge, you need a team of 4 or more of only the same AT - no other AT can be on the team. Warshades and Arachnos Soldiers are 2 different ATs... so, for your example, you would need 4 Warshades only OR 4 Arachnos Soldiers only for the the badge.

Even with the +max HP accolades, few toons are at the HP cap. Only those with Dull Pain type powers that give them that, or super specialized builds (like some of my Blasters) are people at the HP cap. And if you encounter one of those toons with max HP... just move on to the one that isn't at the cap - because they need the help more! Additionally, toons with defensive sets that can get to max HPs already NEED THAT because they are taking the aggro - that's why it's in their set to begin with. But they will need other things from a defender - heals, endurance, def, resists... etc. So again, give your +max HPs to squishier toons that most likely are not at the cap and need your help. And if you think raising the HP caps doesn't upset game balance, you are SORELY mistaken. The amount you regen is based off of Max HPs. The more HPs you have the more your regen - and every toon regens to some degree. And the armors that have regen in it are balanced around ATs HP caps. And this is why Tankers, who have the highest HP cap, do not have access to the Regeneration Armor set because it's game breaking.
