Here's a sample for the 1st type: 1. Charged Bolts 2. Hydro Blast 3. Rock Shards 4. Rain of Fire 5. Elemental Dominion: Click power, long recharge. Tracks the next 2 attacks you use; If they are of different elements, you gain a self damage and tohit buff. If you use the same element for your next 2 attacks, you gain a self heal over time and defense buff. This power would also place a special "Elemental Dominion" buff on you, which would trigger any special effects the power might have, (like water burst with tidal power, or rock shards with seismic pressure). 6. Water Burst 7. Tesla Cage 8. Blaze 9. Meteor

So we have fire, water, earth (seismic), and air (electricity) blast sets. You may be able to achieve all 4 elements, if you include certain epic pools and incarnate powers, but not in just a single set. I was doing some thinking, and there are basically 2 ways to achieve such a mixed set: 1. This is the simpler solution, and it would basically consists a mixture of existing powers, only smooshed into 1 set, (I'm thinking 2 from each element, with the last being a special build-up or toggle power that provides some special effect or bonus for each element). 2. A set that allows the character to freely switch between each of the 4 elements - each, individually, would be weaker than their single-element counterpart, which would be counterbalanced by some interaction between differing elements. For instance, maybe attacking an enemy with a water power, then electricity, would deal added damage, or fire then cold would cause some sort of thermal shock effect. It'd be much more complex to code, as you'd basically have to code like 16 versions of every power, (1 per element for no special interaction, then 1 for each of the 3 different elements).

The Adaptation Wishlist
biostem replied to ThaOGDreamWeaver's topic in Comic, Hero & Villain Culture
It may be tricky and/or expensive to do, but I'd love to see an anime or western animation take on the RIFTS RPG. I'd also love to see a Terminator series that strictly dealt with the future war, as depicted in T1 and T2; have it be about some no-name soldier or group of soldiers, and not focused on John Connor. -
Because the Incarnate system is not tied to builds at all, this may be complicated. Still, it would be cool to have.

Darkness mastery does get a cone immob, but that'd require getting 2 other powers from the set. You could also take caltrops and throw in a slow or three...

As I see it, there are a few ways things can go, here: 1. Mods/GMs/Devs make an official statement on the matter and start enforcing the "proper" use of each official chat channel. 2. Players continue to try and self-moderate/internally-moderate the official channels, with mixed results. 3. The official chat channels become a free-for-all, and players just have to deal with it. In my experience, while it can get annoying at times, (and no doubt there are some people that troll these channels looking to get arise out of someone), it's not so bad that it drowns out people using these channels for their intended purpose...

I'm confused by the use of the word "necessary" in this context. Of course it's not "necessary". My charitable interpretation is that you're asking if provoke would get enemies to gather to maximize the damage of burn, in which case, it's a definite "maybe"...

I don't think you'd need to go that far - just have it stay under the character like it does now, then just treat all powers as though you were standing on a solid object, (only prohibiting powers that specifically need you to be on the ground to be in line with other flight powers).
-
Instead of trying to reinvent the wheel, why not create a version of void skiff where, for all intents and purposes, your character simply acts like they are on the ground, (with the exception of it still treating powers that need to be on the ground as though you were flying). I mean, the skiff itself could simply perfectly follow under your character to sell the effect...

Yeah... I would rather *not* bring modern-day issues or concerns into CoH; If you want to do something like that, decorate your SG base to reflect current-day pricing or create some AE missions in that vein...
-
Could easily be done via the AE...

There's different ways to look it things in-game. In a sense, "time = level" when it comes to the zones; Events taking place in PI occur after the stuff you experienced in Atlas and all the zones leading up to it...

Request: Increase the number of server transfers
biostem replied to Ghost Cipher's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Well... that and a way to further monetize the game, methinks... -
For better effect, try this: /bind f12 "em bowdown$$local Your powers are weak, $target!"

I mean, there are many options available. I suggested electricity since it's the first thing that came to mind, but, hey, you could make pretty much anything work with a good enough explanation - dark/black water attack to represent oil, maybe use the Nemesis Staff model for titan weapon or staff attacks, for a new melee-focused automaton, etc...
-
Think of a less elaborate Fake Nemesis, who is closer in size to the regular Nemesis soldiers. They wouldn't look like animated scrap, and still wear some of the pieces that the regular soldiers have, (so not just bare metal chassis like the Praetorian clockwork).
-
I think they just use Nemesis guns, yeah. I was thinking something a little more obviously mechanical - sort of like a Fake Nemesis, only smaller.
-
I have an Axe-wielding brute named "Ima Ax U a Question".

I get what you're saying, but, (outside of damage auras or other pets), there is no other AT that can fire off more than 1 attack/other power simultaneously.

Add Minimal fx to the Radiation Defense set... please.
biostem replied to RiskyKisses's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Have you tried the dark option with one of the more subdued colors? I know it's not a perfect solution, but it may help a little... -
Add Minimal fx to the Radiation Defense set... please.
biostem replied to RiskyKisses's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Your response may be tongue-in-cheek, but in general, I'd be more in favor of buffing up the underperforming sets... -
Request: Increase the number of server transfers
biostem replied to Ghost Cipher's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I'm not necessarily against this per se, but I would like to hear what the "official" purpose behind the free server transfers is; In other words, are the transfer tokens there to permit you to basically take 1 character back and forth to/from the various servers on a regular basis, or are they only meant for occasional transfers, with the primary intent being that you'd have a "local" character on each particular server... -
Is there such a thing as societal norms in CoH?
biostem replied to Ukase's topic in General Discussion
This isn't an all-or-nothing scenario we're dealing with here - it is ok to care what you're TEAM members are doing and to provide input on how they might be more successful with their play. You don't have to be a jerk about it or domineering, but telling people to not provide any feedback at all and mind their own business is also counterproductive... -
I don't think it's so much that the force is fading, just that a Jedi, who likely is able to "reach out with their feelings" or letting "the force flow through them" at an almost instinctual level, due to training from an early age, is able to suppress that. It'd be almost like a person, who passively breathes without thinking much about it, may have to switch to taking only shallow breaths, if they were working in a particularly stinky environment or such...

What I'd love to see is both an always on and an in-combat aura, which comes in a variety of options. Basically, it'd be a simple effect consisting of multiple concentric circles around your character, representing the typical radii of powers, (8', 12', etc), as well as variations which include emanating lines to match the typical cones, (30 degrees, 45 degrees, 90 degrees, 120 degrees, etc). These could be tintable, and perhaps in "flat" or "glowing" options. I think this would be a great way to help players position themselves and to get a better idea of the sense of scale within the game, or to just look cool! Your thoughts?
