  1. Don't be so hard on yourself; I doubt you were "sucking" - just play around with the game - learn how different enemies behave and become familiar with your powers. Even if you want to use the P2W vendor in the starting zone to enable 2x XP, still fight some enemies on the streets and run some regular missions, just to get the hang of things.
  2. There's aren't any pieces that I can think of that are transparent & look like water. What I've done in the past is to use some of the organic pieces, which if colored appropriately, can look like a wave crashing or water kind of flowing up your character's legs or arms...
  3. It's not a matter of whether the game allows it or not; It's a matter of why, as a new player, you would specifically opt to not actually play the game from character creation to max level, instead opting to skip large swathes of content in favor of essentially letting the game play itself. Why not create a character and level them up the "old-fashioned" way, get to know the game and its storyline(s)/mythology, and only once you are familiar with everything, opt to skip content in order to level up and experience higher level content with a different build?
  4. I'm not sure if the OP is being tongue-in-cheek, but isn't it a bad idea to give a "newbie" advice on AFK farming? Isn't it kind of counter productive to such a person learning the ins and outs of the game?
  5. I think this is a fairly simple suggestion: Allow us to use the various cape brooch options as belt options, (with or without an associated band), as chest detail options, (maybe also in various different sizes), and other appropriate locations, (maybe shoulder options). Your thoughts? Thanks for reading!
  6. Quick quetion: I made an energy/ninjitsu blaster. If I were to use the immobilizing dart, then an energy attack, then run into range to use a sword attack, my character would kind of just stand there and the damage number from the sword attack would be deducted from the enemy. Is this change going to correct that type of issue? Thanks in advance!
  7. I'm sure many people would like that/have requested it, but, to my knowledge, the game just isn't able to support that level to power customization. With being able to tint most power sets and some having alternate animations, you can get pretty close; If you want an "ice set" that deals damage over time instead of the slows, then you can color fire blast blue, etc. It's not perfect, but it's something...
  8. 1. Overall, I just love playing claws - fast attacks, a great tohit and dmg buff from follow up, and some ranged attacks mixed in. 2. Savage melee - this is a newer one for me. I've come to really appreciate the recharge and end discount buffs from blood frenzy. The powers recharge relatively quickly, and the set has a distinctive feel to it. 3. War mace - this is another I hadn't traditionally used all that often, but the attacks just feel powerful and deliberate. 4. Energy melee - I'll always think of this set as "the pom poms of doom", but it just feels powerful. I know it has its problems, but I just find the set satisfying to use. 5. Psionic melee - oh how I want this set to perform better. I love the look of the psi blades, and the various 'big fist' attacks are cool. I just wish they split the two concepts into separate sets - a psi blade set and a psi fist/projection set. Still, it's quite cool looking. Notable mentions: -Dark melee - one of the earliest sets I ever tried, and the primary of ym namesake back around the game's launch. - Kinetic melee - has some very cool animations, only I wish it was more of a mid-range set, (it reminds me a lot of a DBZ or SF2 type of character). Cheers!
  9. What scrappers need is a 'Conservation of Ninjitsu' mechanic, where enemies become weaker the more of them you're facing up against. :-P
  10. What would be interesting would be to base the set around different directions or ways in which you can summon & propel objects. For instance, (in no particular order): Death from below: You summon an object right under your opponent, knocking them up into the air. Heads up: You summon a heavy object above your target, knocking them down. Caught in the middle: You summon 2 objects from either side of your target and crush them between said objects. Deals moderate smashing damage and disorients the target. Rain on your parade: You drop a series of moderately sized objects in an area, dealing smashing damage, slowing the targets, and reducing their defense and movement speeds. Bouncing Betty's: You cause a series to objects to rapidly rise from a given location then fly off in random directions, causing smashing damage and knocking down enemies in the area. Razor Rain: You launch a series of sharp & jagged objects at all enemies in a cone in front of you, dealing moderate lethal damage and applying a DoT effect. Adventurer's Folly: You summon a massive object and slowly drive it forward, dealing heavy smashing damage and knocking down any enemies in its path. Debris Field: You levitate and rapidly swirl many sharp pieces of debris around yourself, dealing lethal damage to any enemies that come near you, with a slight chance of knocking them down. Show of Strength: This power would act similar to build-up or aim, except that when you activate it, several medium-sized pieces of rubble quickly rise up from the ground around you, dealing minor smashing damage and knocking back any nearby enemies.
  11. Who is your favorite hero? Probably Iron Man, with Winter Soldier coming a close second. Who is your least favorite hero? Captain Marvel Who is your favorite villain? I kind of liked Ultron, though the Grandmaster gave me a chuckle too. Who is your least favorite villain? The Mandarin - such a waste Who is your favorite actor? Robert Downey Jr & Benedict Cumberbatch Who is your least favorite actor? Brie Larson What is your favorite movie in the MCU? I really liked Infinity War, though Civil War & Winter Soldier were a close 2nd & 3rd. What is your least favorite movie? Iron Man 3 or Thor 2. My own addition: I don't know why, but I also really like Iron Man 2 - I know it gets panned a lot, but it's sort of a guilty pleasure of mine. Drunk Stark pissing his suit, Venko's "byurds", the "Hammeroids", Iron Man & War Machine fighting back to back, and seeing all those failed Iron Man knock-offs are just entertaining to me...
  12. Didn't it turn out Apex was only like level 12 after all was said & done w/ the 1st comic series?
  13. So after tinkering with the settings, this seems to have done the trick. Thanks again!
  14. Yes they do.
  15. Well, I find thugs to be pretty easy to play, since your tier 1 & 2 minions are mainly ranged. You also get 'gang war', which is a great power that summons a whole bunch of temporary squishy pets to deal damage and distract the enemy. As for secondaries, I really like nature affinity; It's not too complex, and offers a wide variety of abilities. Here are some simple commands that, I think, will make your life a lot easier: /macro Att "petcomall attack defensive" /macro Flw "petcomall follow defensive" /bind lshift+lbutton "petcomall goto passive" The first command will place a little icon labeled "Att" in your power bar. That icon, when clicked or if you press the number associated with its place in the power bar, will command all your pets to attack your target. The second command will create an icon labeled 'Flw' which tells your pets to break off their attack, (unless they are attacked by another enemy), and follow you instead. The last command will make it so if you press shift then left-click somewhere, your pets will ignore everything else and attempt to move to where you clicked. Happy hunting!
  16. Yeah, I don't think I finished that series, either. In the 'Yakuza Arc' of My Hero Academia, they introduce a professional hero named "Fat Gum", who could expend the fat in his body to absorb damage or for additional strength; interesting take on a "Tank" if you ask me...
  17. The problem is, (for me at least), that with most other ATs, I can be more than "good" - I can be extremely successful with just generic IOs. Yeah, I'm not going to be top-tier, but I don't feel like I'm up against some kind of wall. Please don't misunderstand - those of you who can find that level of performance have my utmost respect... I just can't seem to see the light at the end of the tunnel with any dominator I create...
  18. Can sentinels get super reflexes? I can just imagine a dual pistol, super reflex "ballerina" going to town on some bad guys. Barring that, something like a gravity/storm controller can definitely make enemies "dance", so that could work...
  19. There's a set of wings that are more like a tech-backpack, and they're quite compact when folded down, (see this post for an example of what it looks like folded down). Also, back to the original topic, check out Absolute Duo - it's about some people that get weapons that represent their soul, and one character got a shield instead...
  20. You're quite welcome! Here's her 'Loving Sacrifice' form: maple angel.costume
  21. Here you go... maple heavy shielder.costume
  22. So I'll get this right out of the way; I'm familiar with controllers and the control sets in general, but I'm mainly a melee-AT player. I love gravity control, but I can pretty much do what I want with that set on a controller, without needing outside attacks. I'm trying to grasp the assault sets and how they're meant to interact with your primary. Do I just lock down an enemy and run into melee, to wail on them with my melee and ranged attacks? I tried making a ranged-only dom, but it just wasn't a fun experience for me. I'd also like to point out that I'm not hugely into IO set stuff - I mainly just slot up generic IOs and call it a day, so perma-dom is probably not going to happen for me. Any advice or suggestions you can provide would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for reading.
  23. Just the default bikini underneath...
  24. It's the barbarian skirt w/o the fur trim. I can post the costume later if you'd like.
  25. On several of my lower-level characters. the 'inner inspiration' power from the P2W vendor is far more useful than many of their other abilities. If the cooldown is too long on some powers, people, (IMO), would rather just take something that may be less effective, but more readily available...
