I'm not talking about Maple. I'm just imagining that there'd be guides all over the place telling you which enemies you could eat for which abilities, where you could go to farm damage, how long it takes to gain resistance vs immunity to different damage types, and so on. Don't get me wrong - I really enjoy the show because the MC isn't fanservicey or some ultra-pro super-gamer, and how she just kind of stumbles into being OP is kind of endearing... :-)

There are a few seasons of that series and its spinoff, (about the more experienced team led by a female Loki). It's a fun series, (I only wish it dealt more with the actual dungeoneering than the fanservicey stuff). The side/alternate story is 'Sword Oratoria'. https://www15.gogoanime.io/category/dungeon-ni-deai-o-motomeru-no-wa-machigatte-iru-darouka https://www15.gogoanime.io/category/dungeon-ni-deai-wo-motomeru-no-wa-machigatteiru-darou-ka-gaiden-sword-oratoria

Use the tunnel custom map, which is pretty small, it's flat, then set the parameters to only place 1 of the enemy you want to test. make sure to also set the first "Villain Group" option to "empty", otherwise it will auto-populate spawn points with enemies.

Not a power set per se, but either a set of further power customization options or perhaps conditional costume piece, (similar to combat auras), that allowed you to have your powers come from held items, weapons, various gun-like objects, shoulder-mounted weapons, or maybe even a summoned familiar/pet...

The game has come a looooong way since this...

I kind of like the rounded corner targeting reticles and the rotating DNA effect behind the character. I don't think those ever made it to live... -
What I find odd about the game Bofuri takes place in is that there is apparently no Internet culture where people share builds/strategies or otherwise dive into the numbers or code. They do show some, what I'm assuming are either chatrooms or text conversations, but it's still odd...

I would recommend a claws/radiation armor brute at first; You have quick attacks with some range mixed in, and solid defenses with a good recovery boosting power, so you don't up up running out of endurance.
-
I think these would be better implemented as emotes or auras that anyone could use.

There's a strong Longbow presence in AP, especially around City Hall and the statue of Atlas. No reason a Warden or 3 couldn't be placed at strategic locations to provide additional guidance to new(er) heroes...

Focused Feedback: Experimentation (Build 1 - 4)
biostem replied to Jimmy's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
Does the toxic dart power have a similar ~2 second cast time as arcane bolt and project will? If so, please consider lowering them slightly, as it makes them very undesirable to use in team content. I'm all for more power options, though, so great work! -
Love it! Gotta give them a fast food worker alternate costume: "Oh yes! You WILL have some 'Electrifries' with that!!!"

Focused Feedback: Electrical Affinity - Powers (Build 2)
biostem replied to Jimmy's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
I feel like calling the set's "resource" "static" just doesn't sound right. "Charged", "ionized", or even "amped" seems more fitting. I am also concerned about the survivability/viabiltiy of the sentinel, since it can be targeted and is so early in the set. -
Very nice, and an excellent use of that police helmet, (it always looks goofy when I try to use it :-/ ).

Focused Feedback: Electrical Affinity - Name
biostem replied to Jimmy's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
Well, IMO, "Surge Protection" kind of implies that the set defends AGAINST electrical attacks/sources, not utilizing them to aid your comrades. Maybe "Electric Potential" or "Shock and Awwwwwww :-) ". -
Focused Feedback: Electrical Affinity - Name
biostem replied to Jimmy's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
Shock Therapy was not *just* used on gay people; It was, (and continues to be), used on any number of conditions, (whether they be actual conditions or ones the medical establishment/those in power deem to be conditions that need "treating"). Disemboweling and beheadings were used as methods of execution or torture for a wide myriad of people as well, (again, whether those people were actually guilty of a crime or those in power just wanted them removed, permanently). I'm not against the renaming, per se - just that such a thing as "shock therapy" isn't a group-specific thing. Should bonfire or cremate have their names changed because someone may have had a negative experience with such things? I mean, we can summon demons, for crying out loud! How is that not offensive to some people, (especially if you are religious or hold a genuine belief in the supernatural or spirits)? Either way, change the names as much as you like... -
Still, you can save the costume and make note of the AT/powersets/build, then just help the other person PL that character. Heck, you could have them give you a heads up when they want to create said character, then go into your account and change the name of your version, so they could then use the original name...

I wonder if a better option would be to utilize Deadshot or Mandolorian-style "weapon gauntlets" - We have the immobilizing dart attack that does something similar, already...
-
It's not bad, IMO. I like how one of the early powers grants a def buff for Brutes and Tankers. I tend to cherry-pick whether I want to use the kick or alternate animations, to best fit the concept I'm going for...

Well, it's one thing to have the frankengun and *just8 AR attacks, and another entirely to with a 1-man arsenal with pistols, shotguns, ARs, sniper rifles, RPG, etc. Maybe 3 options, then?

Welcome back!

I just cannot get into titan weapons. I keep reading how good they are, but I just cannot seem to get into the whole momentum mechanic and how slow and plodding it feels, (to me)...
-
Maybe the current AR set needs to be branched off into 2 sets with distinct playstyles: 1. The "Frankengun" type implementation should be expanded upon - plasma bullets, healing rounds, antimatter bullets? Go all-out with that stuff. 2. Precision Rifle - This would be more conventional and less flashy - use controlled shots, short bursts, etc.

I'm enjoying the series as well. Granted, the whole absorption ability and gaining resistances by being exposed to a particular damage type is definitely OP, (which I suppose is kind of the point). Rising of the Shield Hero is another good one. I rather enjoyed Goblin Slayer as well, (though that one is rather graphic).

Suggestion: Material transition belt costume pieces
biostem posted a topic in Suggestions & Feedback
So I feel that this is a pretty straightforward idea, but one that need a little elaboration. Basically, I've run into many scenarios where I am working on a costume, pick a top and a bottom that are of different materials, but then have a hard time choosing a belt that would work well to blend the design. Thus, I would love to see a series of belts that go from: cloth -> leather leather -> cloth cloth -> metal leather -> metal and all the different permutations therein. These would be pieces with a blend from the top material to the bottom, along with the selected colors. Your thoughts? Thanks for reading!
