I mean, if something was 95% copper and 5% zinc, wouldn't it still technically be brass? I could absolutely be wrong, here, but other than being "an alloy of copper and zinc", is there any limiting factor? Is 99% copper and 1% zinc still brass? Just playing devil's advocate...

I was able to create a huge character with a crab backpack, and got the aura options. Could you share the specific costume you are having the issue with?

Wouldn't the color vary depending upon how much copper was in the mix? The below image has various examples of brass pots and pans, all with different hues...

Could you share the costume file you are trying to add the aura to - perhaps others can try...

I know some aura options aren't available with certain parts or body types, (like I don't think you can have a head or eye aura on the floating heads or think tank options, unless you play some trickery on the aura slots).

First, you are completely wrong. Second, just because YOU cannot think of a conceptual reason for this set does not mean that one doesn't exist. My concept is simple - there are characters in comics that have "energy blasts" that do no involve sending enemies flying all over the place. I want to be able to emulate such a character without having to play the market/IO subgame. I mean, you could say that dark blast isn't needed because there is an incarnate ability that adds a tohit debuff, or that sonic isn't necessary because there are IOs that add -RES. If it's a matter of all the powers being identical to the OG energy blast, well I'm not against mixing things up a bit, animation-wise. Otherwise, it seems to me that you are one of the people that think if other ideas are proposed, it necessarily takes away from suggestions or other implementations that YOU personally want to see promoted. Regardless, you came into this post with nothing constructive to add, and now that you've said your peace, thank you for your opinion, now please move along.

Maybe a small chance of disorient or something. I wonder if something like a mag 1 immobilize in all the attacks would be too much...

I feel like that's fire's schtick, and also kinda what disintegrate does for beam rifle. Giving it the slightly better end cost and recharge times would make it feel like a more "efficient" or "pure" set, IMO...

One thing that's bugged me for a while now is how the energy blast sets seems to kind of be trying to be 2 different things at once. I feel like the set should be replicated/split into 2 sets - they can look identical, but have 2 different effects: 1. "Concussive Blast" would the one with all the knockbacks, but change the damage type to smashing. 2. "Energy Blast" would deal pure energy damage, but instead of the knocks, it could apply some other secondary effect - maybe no secondary effect for the enemy, but an overall lower end cost or slightly better recharge rate to compensate.

Why only those 2 options? What, in the current timeframe the game takes place in, is missing by having Statesman's position left vacant? Maybe you could have a story arc or TF where others try to assert themselves as the ultimate power or figurehead for the world, but otherwise, let the current generation of heroes do their thing, without having to live in someone else's shadow...

Obviously you replace him with a horde of Rikti monkeys, all wearing Statesman masks...

I can't speak for Troo, but if I now have to rearrange the order I use powers in order to take advantage of a combo system, then it definitely messes with the flow, IMO.

Please, no new "special damage types that can only be resisted by this one source" type of stuff. I really hate it when games basically negate your other abilities just to make stuff harder. How about giving enemies fuller attack chains and perhaps some sort of teamwork, (or at least add more buffers to enemy groups).

Not to derail things too much, but I really wish we'd get the APPs/PPPs expanded to encompass all the new powersets that have come out since then as well.

Maybe give aimed shot some toxic damage. Perhaps turn ranged shot into a very narrow cone, to kind of simulate being able to shoot through multiple enemies.

Isn't that what the Galaxies are? Maybe they could have a chance to turn into a dwarf or nova upon defeat

I could see some higher level Council getting beam rifles, or perhaps some human/Mekman cyborgs. Maybe the Warwolves could be revamped with savage melee attacks as well...

There is the fairly big "Only affecting self" message under your status bar. I suppose they could have it say "You are resting: Only affecting self" or something, if they wanted to be super-duper clear about it...

Doesn't Valkyrie also have her spear on her back, and reaches back to throw it as well?

I mean, you can use emotes while having other powers toggled on - so is it the "only affecting self" portion of rest that prohibits this?

Silly suggestion here, but I kinda feel like we should be able to have our character sip on a drink or eat a donut, instead of the typical resting animation. Perhaps they play a game on their phone to help recoup from a tough battle or something. Your thoughts?

Heck, the triggering of the "in combat" flag could also force you to do the weapon-draw animation as well, to better sell the immersion...

Perhaps it could be some sort of aura, using the "in combat" option to have the weapon or shield model disappear, (though in the case of shield defense, you have it on your arm whenever you have a toggle running).

How difficult is it to rotate and/or reorient power effects? Could you take the various dark powers that have the tendrils, basically rotate them so they're vertical, place them in front of your typical attack animations, and now you have a kind of dimensional portal looking thing...
