You could save your costumes, create alternate accounts, create "throw-away" characters on them, and do a temporary multi-box, or maybe just send some friends the costume files and ask them to login with you for the group shot...

I'm not understanding; +3 SOs only give up to about a 38% increase. Are you talking about level 50 generic IOs? Hami-O's?

Perhaps you could clarify something for me; With ED, enhancement values drop off sharply around the 95% mark for schedule A, and 56% for schedule B enhancements. If we removed ED, and stuck with the value of IOs, then someone slotting level 50+ IOs, (or even IO sets), would far outpace someone with just SOs, even if you were no longer effectively limited to 3 of any particular type/value. How would removing these "soft caps" benefit the non-IO/set user?

Powers getting back to their Roots
biostem replied to Stan The Man's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
It would be interesting, (albeit a tremendous amount of work), if they could make it so you could pick from practically any animation that you wanted of a given category, (melee animations for those attacks, etc), with the numbers being adjusted for the length/duration of the chosen animation; Shorter animations result in lower damage, longer ones get more damage. -
I would prefer that siphoning power from the enemy be an inherent aspect of each attack, (basically -dmg to them, +dmg to you as KM's schtick). Perhaps the actual clicky could provide some minor endurance and/or health over time instead.

Generally speaking, (at least in my experience), it comes from games where you can allocate stat points; Let's say you wanted to be a mage in D&D - you put your highest stat in intelligence and "dump" your lowest points into things like charisma or strength; You maximize those aspects of your character that are the most critical to your performance, and minimize those aspects with the least impact. Another connotation is to simply play up your strengths and minimize your weaknesses; Perhaps, as a blaster, you take defensive powers to fill in any holes, and slot others to maximize your damage output at the same time. There are different uses of the term, so a lot depends upon context...

Which it was; After asking for some clarification, I said: "They *are* "another pool selectable from the other 4". I just don't think that you should be able to have 5 total power pools to pick from. Taking any power should come with an opportunity cost - and allowing even more selections just lessens that. Why should I be able to take speed, fighting, leadership, leaping and sorcery, but not sorcery & force of will?" Reread the thread.

As I have already stated, why not just allow everyone access to 5 power pools? Why not allow players to pick more than 1 origin power pool? Never adequately answered. Nice strawman. Choosing what powers to take or not to take is already a decision with very little weight. Such choices shouldn't be made even less impactful to a character. The OP has already admitted that they specifically want this change because they have taken the current max of 4 power pools, and is unwilling to compromise or rethink their build "because it's fun". As I stated before, they don't want everyone to be able to take 5 power pool picks, they specifically want to allow 4 power pools and the origin pool BECAUSE a power they want, beyond the other 4 pools, exists in said origin power pool. Changing a power within a set != changing how many power pools you have access to. Not only are you unable to accurately represent my stance, you fail to even knock down the strawman you've constructed.

So not permitting homosexuals to marry is fine because they had the same access to marriage as everyone else, (i.e. to a person of the opposite sex)? The OP clearly wants access to the origin power pool in addition to 4 other choices specifically because they don't want to give up any of those 4 other picks. If *not* wanting a major change to be made because its proponent cannot look beyond their own interests is selfish, then I suppose I am selfish. It doesn't change the fact that the OP has not provided a cogent defense of their position besides "it's fun".

Right, so you are unwilling to pay the opportunity cost for that power pick. Perhaps, if you aren't willing to make that choice, than said power isn't really that important for you. Why should you get 5 power pools but not someone else, simply because your 5th one happens to be an origin one? Seems like a pretty flimsy reason...

Female characters Bodysuit Muscled coloration mismatch
biostem replied to Nishastra's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
The cybertech sleeveless tanktop also has coloration issues when other parts are selected and using the same color selection. I 100% agree that it is very annoying. I often find myself having to include a belt or other separation in order to "hide" the issue... -
Except that presence has that last part. Speed has that. Even leadership's 5th power can be classified as a "buff with an extremely long cool down". Frankly, it should be the other way around; If I want powers from force of will and sorcery, I should be able to take them - at the cost of 2 power pool picks...
-
What is the intent behind this proposal? Is it overpowering to be able to take sorcery and force of will? I can't imagine it's anywhere near as game-changing as being able to take speed & fighting, for instance. If it's just for thematic reasons, then why not just limit yourself instead of limiting everyone else? Also, I thought Force of Will was the natural-origin pool...

Replace or change repair for Bots MM
biostem replied to TheSpiritFox's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
As is the case with powers in empathy, thermal, and any other set with a single target ally-only heal. Most importantly, however, it wouldn't have any interrupt.
