In general, I agree with you. What I think we keep running up against is a difference of perspective; Is combing the various buffs, debuffs, and abilities of your teammates, in order to take on strong opponents playing beyond what you should, or is it just good tactics? Is using knock powers on enemies that moves them into another person's range good or bad? What if you didn't ask if that's what they wanted? What if they weren't prepared to face more enemies than they already had engaged? That's why I'm so hung up on communicating with your teammate first, then coming to some kind of agreement ahead of time. If you all agree to knock enemies into nice tight groups for easy AoE-ing, but someone repeatedly goes against that, then it's clearly that person's fault. If you agreed that anyone can KB at any time and in any direction, then no one can complain...

Are you assuming my bots' gender? 😅

Can we agree that, since some of the TFs were first added to the game, that the power level of players, especially top-tier ones, has gone up? Maybe even significantly? Could it, hypothetically, have increased to the point that such a player could complete what was originally meant to be challenging for 4 players, solo? It's not like they're forcing you to have 4 players through some sort of "click X distant items simultaneously" mechanic or anything, so why not?

Right - that'd fall under griefing or harassment. That's a strawman. I never stated that's how a team should or shouldn't be played. Regardless, now who's telling others how to play? And another instance of you telling others how to play. So in your mind, it is not the person carelessly scattering mobs that's the problem, but the person complaining about it? Seems like victim blaming to me...

I think what will help you a lot is to be aware of what powers are kind of key to your success and what others likely expect of you: 1. Every attack of yours should emit a small "taunt aura", that taunts enemies nearby. 2. Most armor sets have some sort of PBAoE click power or toggle, which, beyond whatever primary effects it has, also taunts enemies. 3. Some primaries or secondaries may have a "damage aura", which in addition to dealing some damage to nearby enemies, also aggroes them onto you. 4. You should have a dedicated taunt power in your secondary, which is probably the most direct way of getting enemy aggro. Assuming you've sufficiently slotted your defensive powers so you can actually survive the enemies' opening attack, then just keep their attention on you, and everyone on your team should be happy. Some groups may want you to "herd" multiple groups of enemies, but that's a topic for another thread...

Well, not necessarily; An experienced teammate can say to you "hey, if you use your powers to knock enemies toward the tank or from above, the end result is a lot more effective", and if you listen to them, you can see for yourself. You can also do all your experimenting while solo or away from other players, so as to not impact their gameplay. Surely you can see how either using your powers carelessly or intentionally sowing chaos can hurt other people's enjoyment of the game, yes? If all you're doing is having fun scattering mobs while solo, or otherwise away from everyone else, then more power to you, but the moment you do so in range of other players, then it is all on you...

If I may be so bold; There's a brooch option that has a central part and 2 small side bits; Make the central part brown, and the side ones green, and it should be a perfect stem/leaves!

It always kind of bugged me that in Paragon City, there are clearly villain groups operating, yet our villain characters couldn't really be part of that. I understand that the devs didn't want there to be unrestricted PvP, but you could implement some sort of "in hiding" cover story to explain why villains were going about openly. Still, I've always wanted to be able to be one of the villains that made heroes enter that awful blue cave to come get me!

So if someone were to phase enemies that you were fighting, or knock other groups toward you or out of range of your powers, (purely by accident or they were just having fun, of course), you wouldn't mind one bit? If you were trying to fill the tank role for a team, but one person was scattering mobs to the wind, it wouldn't bother you one bit? There's a huge difference between how you may define "as intended" and how others may view playing in the spirit of teamwork. The person who is using their powers "as intended", but without regard for how such play impacts their teammates and others around them, is just as guilty as the team dictator, who barks order incessantly and demands total obedience.

Not so much new pieces, but I'd love to see many of the existing pieces that only come in metallic to have matte or leather/gloss options, and parts that have glow to have options without...

Agreed! There are several back pieces that they get which are rather nice. I believe the illusionists also get some special dresses that we cannot use. I, personally, would love to get some of the armor pieces and patterns that the D.U.S.T. soldiers wear in First Ward:

On the extreme ends, both are.

I suppose it depends upon how you translate each character into the game. Goku would probably be more of a sentinel, or perhaps some weird hybrid that we can't actually make in-game...
-
As I've advocated for, and will continue to, is for the TEAM to communicate and to work things out internally. If you join a team, then it ceases to just be about your fun; You have explicitly agreed to play alongside others, which means that your own personal definition of "fun" must be weighed against that of your teammates. Yes, this flows both ways - so shouting that *no one* should use KBs is just as bad as pushing to be able to use them with reckless abandon. Talk to your other team members, and figure things out, and either proceed or part ways, depending upon your ability to come to some sort of agreement...

Yes, Ryu can sometimes shoot an actual fire ball, but generally it appears to be more concussive, (i.e. energy blast in game terms).
-
If we're talking about a general "best fit" in CoH, then I'd say either brutes or sentinels, depending upon how you want to interpret/translate the anime into game mechanics. The thing is, AFAIK, Saiyans permanently grow in power as they suffer damage - not just a temporary increase in damage as you attack and get attacked...

Make TO, DO, and SO enhancement drops be +3 levels
biostem replied to DougGraves's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
One possible solution is to give the regular enhancements a "floor value", which is to say, after becoming -3 to you, they still have some bonus, instead of becoming totally useless, (like 50%-75% of their even-con value). Additionally, what if, when you would be rewarded with an enhancement, you basically can pick which specific one you want, instead of getting a random drop... -
This could be interesting, but with a slight change; An AT that can pick 2 of the same category of set for their primary and secondary, so you could do fire blast/dark blast, or thugs/demon summoning, etc...

Make TO, DO, and SO enhancement drops be +3 levels
biostem replied to DougGraves's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I would say make them drop at +2 levels, so they can still be combined with your existing enhancements. Otherwise, yes - TOs, DOs, and SOs need some love, what with IOs being better in many aspects... -
IIRC, it's that scaling the defenses to tanker levels would basically allow them to softcap them...

That thread you referenced is for people asking for costumes for their characters, using pieces that already exist, not for all new pieces, which is what I think the OP was suggesting...

A power like air superiority can do the same thing, only without scattering them around...
