  1. Not to derail things too much, but this is one of the major revelations I've had regarding another game I frequently play - Fallout 76; Over the years, they have made it easier and easier for 1 single character to do everything - you can swap abilities almost on the fly, and with practically no cost. CoH, (for the better, IMHO), presents you with the difficult decision of selecting an AT, primary, and secondary set that you CANNOT change, and even if it is relatively easy to reach 50, it still requires at least some dedication to fully kit that character out and really turn them into the fully fleshed-out character you think they can become... [/Rant]
  2. Maybe take a different approach - KITT as a cloud-based AI, though with a "favorite host body" being the supercar, (obviously with at least a few callbacks to his original Trans-Am). Perhaps address topics of privacy and automation, (or would that deviate too much from the more action-oriented "problem of the week" format the OG one took?)
  3. Do you think they could do the whole Min-May story nowadays? (If it's too controversial to bring up here, my apologies).
  4. It may be a dumb question at this point, but have you considered switching to a different provider? Even some sort of home wifi via 4G/5G would be better at this point...
  5. And nothing of value was lost...
  6. One additional piece of info that I want to add is that there seems to be this trend in the episodes where they'll continue the story a little bit after or during the credits - they seem to be little vignettes about a particular character's backstory, so don't skip them!
  7. Archery actually has a pretty fast-recharging/animating T1, but in general, those sets are supposed to have a more deliberate feel to them. Dual blades, katana, and most of the unarmed sets are the ones that tend to be faster animating. Regardless, animation work is probably the most time-consuming aspect of development, so I wouldn't hold my breath in hopes of seeing a significant change to those sets' animations...
  8. So I watched the first 2 episodes yesterday, and I have to say, this series, (while definitely NOT for children), has just the right amount of drama/angst while not taking itself too seriously. There is mature subject matter, and some very "not ok" topics introduced, but overall I found it very entertaining, with its dark humor and fight scenes. It's also nice to see some C/D/E/F-tier characters getting some air time...
  9. Thanks! They're the cosmic corsair ones, under "tucked in"...
  10. This one turned out a lot better than I was expecting: "The Nuclear Option"
  11. When collateral damage isn't a concern, you send in: "The Nuclear Option"!!!
  12. I created a character just the other day, on Excel, and was very surprised I got the name "(The) Nuclear Option"!
  13. I think this touches on the whole "opportunity cost" thing. From my interpretation, it seems like the OP wants the best of both worlds - attuned IOs while leveling, then being able to boost them once they do hit 50, with little cost.
  14. Here's the thing - I've actually done this on a character - I have one build with level 25 generic IOs for all lower level content, and the main build that has set IOs, with some boosted, for 50+ content. Beyond being able to tailor which specific enh's I'm using, I can also tweak which powers I take and when...
  15. I know you weren't responding to me, but I feel like this is an area where multiple builds really shines - have one build for exemplared content, and another for 50+ stuff. It wouldn't be all that expensive, either, since you could basically use generic IOs on the sub-50 build...
  16. Right, because all of those were coded to be able to target a defeated target, just like how an awaken can work on a downed player character, but not a living one. Also, IIRC, those rez powers that apply a buff, actually have 2 components - the rez effect, then after a short delay, the buff. You would have to fundamentally change ALL toggles to be able to work on defeated characters, but only in a suppressed state. It's not that it's a bad idea, it's just that it's probably not feasible...
  17. I responded to what I quoted, nothing more.
  18. Here's the thing - while your character is in a defeated state, they cannot be the target of any buffs, whether those be in the form of toggles or single click powers - only powers that specifically target such defeated entities. You'd have to fundamentally charge all such toggle powers to now work on characters in that state...
  19. Which would likely be far cheaper than to replace that IO, thereby reducing any sort of opportunity cost involved in replacing it...
  20. Are we talking pre- or post-inflation?
  21. I was specifically referring to the critique that taunt may not be available to a tanker at the minimum level for Posi 1.
  22. Sure. Set it to -1 if the team is struggling. Change tactics. Trying to play something like Posi 1 the same way you'd play 50+ content isn't the answer...
  23. Guess that low level team will have to stick to single groups and/or maybe even pull then...
  24. Which isn't very relevant if, for instance, you kit out an alt with a bunch of attuned IOs while they're leveling up, then "de-attune" them once they hit 50, to get the best of both worlds. Just use generic IOs or unslotters to preserve those attuned IOs and place those 50+ ones.
