Simple solution: Add in a copy of energy blast, only strip out the KB - make NO other changes, and track how players react to it - will they embrace this new set or soundly reject it? If it starts to become popular, then maybe there's something to it...

So Excelsior, per the current forum count, has a little over 1000, and Everlasting has nearly 600, so there would definitely be a queue if the shards were consolidated, (assuming your numbers are correct)...

They should have set it during the events of DS9; Even if it isn't feasible to de-age the original actors, it could have been a "somewhere else in the quadrant" story involving steps they surreptitiously took to aid the Federation alliance, involving questionable or at least amoral actions, (like poisoning ketracel white for newborn/newly spawned Jem'hadar)...

And how would you handle all the name conflicts?

Perhaps the intent is not to have a single shard where it's standing room only. Nothing is stopping anyone from playing on a high-population server. While I do prefer busier servers myself, what I do NOT want to see, is a situation where we have to wait in a queue because it's too crowded...

Is this basically a way of working around or otherwise compensating for how "the other server" makes you use your own costume slots, in order to customize your MM's minions? I'm not against the idea, but I wonder if adding some sort of untouchable/pet-only costume slots is even possible; I wonder, instead, if a system could be implemented where you go to the regular tailor, create a costume as normal, save the costume, then simply talk to another contact or via some menu, select a costume file and that, for all intents and purposes, overrides the pets' appearance...

This entire discussion kind of reminds me of how some games include "quick-time events", where it doesn't matter how good you are at playing the main parts of the game, because being able to rapidly smack X at just the right time will determine how well/poorly you'll progress at this critical juncture, if at all...

I've been in favor of adding letters & numbers or something similar to the rows & columns of the color palette, or other such features. My argument was that saying "My costume uses A3 and G7 for the primary and secondary" is easier than "Ok, my primary is 021, 102, 064". If you can remember the latter, then the former is just as easy to do, or easier. Now, I can see taking exception to how some of the color palettes not matching each other, (in the particular colors available or how they are arranged), is frustrating, but if we're going to fix anything, let's get those into better alignment first. And, yeah - providing options like being able to change the highlight color of the currently selected color, would be warmly welcomed...

I can assure you, the differences between how the light/dark power customization palettes and the standard one are setup is a problem for those without color blindness...

This is one of the things I like over on Champions Online - it stores the last few colors you've used in special slots above the main color palette...
